View Full Details of Loxley Park - Avery HealthcareI've viewed so many care homes and Loxley is really special with lovely facilities and wonderful activities, but most of all with its great staff who enable older people to be as independent as able. My dad was at Loxley Park from mid-December to the end of January for respite care, they greatly helped my father at such a difficult time (when he was extremely bereft and very frail after being in hospital). The care, compassion and company was wonderful for him. He enjoyed a lot of the events, the mental stimulation was so good for him too. All of the staff are wonderful and really got to know him. They were also so kind and supportive to me too, providing me with updates and helping to ensure I could regularly stay in touch with my dad. Highly recommended.
Thank you for all you have done for us. We love to stay, but home calls us. All the staff have been wonderful. The apartment was warm and comfortable. The visit was brilliant in every way. We hope we can come and stay another day.
My mother arrived at Loxley Park in November 2021 and is very happy here. The staff are friendly and always ready to assist Mum with anything she needs. One of the reasons I chose Loxley was because Mum was able to bring her dog to live with her, which was an important factor.
I booked a 6-week respite/holiday stay for my mother following a visit to Loxley Park. I have to say my mother was very reluctant to go and took some time to come around to this. However, from the moment we arrived at Loxley Park, everything was just amazing. All the staff are so welcoming that you immediately feel at ease and safe. The activities are wonderful, the food is fabulous, and mum feels like she is on a 5-star holiday - so much so Mum is thinking now of moving in. The care team are also incredibly kind and I am extremely grateful to have had peace of mind whilst I was away.
All care given is excellent - respectful, dignified, genuine. We had a delicious Christmas lunch, high quality, nicely cooked food (well done kitchen staff), served by welcoming and cheerful dining room staff. Well done and thank you. The receptionists are always helpful and courteous. We also went to an activity (word game and quiz) with my mother-in-law on Boxing day. It was excellent and stretched the minds of all abilities - well attended and I also chatted to another resident afterwards who very much appreciated and enjoyed it. (My mother-in-law did not want to miss it for our visit, another indication that it was very good).
My friend stayed at Loxley Park for respite over the Christmas period. The apartment she stayed in was of a very high standard, very spacious and very comfortable. I was able to book a meal in the restaurant and have a 3-course lunch with her, which I was really impressed with. All the staff seemed really friendly and very helpful. On the few occasions that I visited there was always an activity to take part in. Would definitely recommend it to anyone.
Well what can I say about Loxley Park! Since our first visit at the beginning of October and the my step-mum subsequently moving in at the end of October I have been so impressed by everyone at Loxley. The staff are an absolute credit to their organisation making everyone feel very welcome both members and family alike! My step-mum has her own apartment where her dog was welcome which was so important to keep her companion that had helped her through the pandemic. The restaurant is excellent and once again the staff show they know the members well as my step-mum is blind and so the staff will tell her what's on the menu. As a very independent woman it can be difficult for her to accept help but once again the staff are there to guide and assist where needed. I cannot recommend Loxley enough to people that I speak to, I'm only jealous that I'm not able to afford to live there myself! Thanks to the manager and the staff for the awesome job you do!
I cannot recommend Loxley Park highly enough. My parents have lived here since early 2019. Recently my father died and the staff were fantastic in helping us in his final few weeks. I know they will now continue to care for my mother and help her through the grieving process. I would like specifically to thank the manager and two staff members in particular but really, all the wonderful staff deserve mention - they are truly a fabulous, caring team. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
The staff from all areas are so supportive. The food is extremely good on the whole and very nicely served. I have been treated so kindly since my husband died. They have made an otherwise sad thing, bearable. Staff have definitely put themselves out for me, and I'm very grateful.
Dad has now been in Loxley Park for three years and he has always been very happy there. The staff couldn't be more caring and they have been brilliant for him in good times and when he's not been so well. He has gone on trips, made friends and enjoyed great food on-site. Myself and the family been able to share meals with him in the private dining room when I have visited - definitely much better food than you'd expect from a residential home! Definitely recommended.
Our aunt has been at Loxley Park Assisted Living since late September 2023. From our first visit, we’ve had nothing but positive experiences. My aunt has settled in beautifully and is very happy. She loves the food, enjoys the ability to choose whether to sit with the other residents or sit in the comfort of her own home. We love that she’s safe and cared for. I have no hesitation in saying Loxley Park and their staff are amazing. Big thanks to them.
Mum was taken ill and couldn't catch her breath. Staff worked together to identify quickly that an ambulance was required. Their swift action meant that paramedics attended quickly and stabilised Mum with oxygen. Subsequently, Mum was diagnosed with Pulmonary Embolism and required a hospital stay. However, without the Loxley Park team's swift action, Mum's condition could have been much worse. Thanks to all involved.
Loxley Park is the best! My dad has settled in better than I could have imagined. All of the staff work so hard but the atmosphere is always friendly and light. The food is lovely and there is always something interesting going on! I love going to see my dad and spending time with him at Loxley Park. I can't thank the staff enough.
Loxley Park is a marvellous retirement residence. Members can live independently whilst knowing there is support and care on hand if they need it. The care available is good and flexible and all staff are always eager to help. The apartments are bright and well looked after, as are the communal areas. A range of daily activities are organised for those who wish to join in and there is always someone around to chat with. Residents who use the restaurant enjoy the quality and range of food. As a relative, I am reassured that Dad is safe, well fed and has company, whilst maintaining his independence.
My parents have now been in residence at Loxley Park for four years or so. I have spent 20 years on the main boards of a number of large NHS organisations so have familiarity with the health and care sectors. Simply said, the care and attention provided at Loxley Park is outstanding and I wish we had more care homes like it down south. I unhesitatingly recommend Loxley Park to anyone. It is in a class of its own, the staff are brilliant and from top to bottom always prepared to go the extra mile.
My aunty has now been in residence for almost a year. Her room is always clean and tidy, with a very homely feel, personal items from her previous home are on display. It is large with a bathroom and small kitchen which is always at a comfortable temperature. The staff are always friendly and answer any questions you have. The communal areas, corridors and grounds are well kept with none of that 'care home' odour. If any other family members require a care home I would recommend Loxley Park.
My family member has lived at Loxley Park for over a year now and there is not a bad thing to say about the place, each visit I have had there the staff are all so friendly and can’t do enough for me and my family member and the food is to an excellent standard, the care my family member receives is to a very high standard, the staff don’t rush when giving care and have got time for whatever is needed.
My grandma stayed here and she loved it. Can’t fault it at all and the staff were so caring towards her and to us and answered any questions we had. This is a great place and she engaged in all the activities that she could.
My mother moved into Loxley Park recently and then had to have a spell in hospital. All the staff at Loxley Park worked incredibly hard to help get Mum back to Loxley, which she had quickly fallen in love with. As a family, we can't praise the team here enough. They have gone to great lengths to help get my mum back to them. They have always shown exceptional kindness to her and to all of us as a family. The attitude of all the staff is always incredibly positive, friendly and focused on doing everything to make Mum feel loved, cared for, and at home. They are kind, appropriate, respectful and friendly to our mum, and supportive of all her needs. The various activities are excellent, the food is wonderful, and there's a real sense of community. It's a great place.
My father recently had a respite stay at Loxley Park, and I can't speak more highly of it. It is set in the most beautiful surroundings, and Loxley Park itself felt homely, clean and welcoming. My father joined in a number of the activities and particularly enjoyed his trip out on the minibus. Nothing was too much trouble for the manager and her excellent staff; thank you, Loxley Park.
