View Full Details of Hallmark Maycroft ManorMy father spent the last year of his life at Maycroft Manor. The care and support he received from the team was exemplary, from the very first contact to his last days everyone showed such amazing kindness and attentiveness to his every need. He enjoyed his time there, making positive relationships and taking part in a range of interesting entertainments. I am also very grateful for the kindness and support I received from the wonderful team, thank you.
I was transferred from hospital by ambulance for rehab. I fractured my spine. This establishment is amazing in every way. Run by a young, dynamic team, the staff are very special and seem carefully chosen "hand picked". They are truly top quality, working 24/7 with true dedication, love, passion and a gift for their job. Some individuals I would like to name and have to management, as they have gone the extra mile for me and beyond. It has been a real feel good factor, that of being in a family, yet a 6* hotel. The food is amazing, gluten free is not issue at all. The facilities and activities are amazing, every answer is a yes with a smile and hug. Truly awesome! Maycroft Manor should receive an award!
The most lovely staff. Full of respect, kindness and a sense of humour.. Everybody friendly. Extremely clean and fragrant. Christmas was like a fairy tale - so happy with it all.
I have nothing but thanks and praise for the wonderful care team who cared for my precious husband to the end. He was treated with such kindness and respect and I couldn't have chosen a better place. Management were always approachable and committed to the resident's and families wellbeing.
Mum is very happy in Hallmark Maycroft. The accommodation is very modern which Mum loves and the activities that they put on suit my mum down to the ground. She enjoys the bistro as she can socialise with the other residents while eating lovely food.
My mother-in-law is 96 and has been in Maycroft Manor for two years. Her health has improved significantly and she is happier than she has been for many years. When my own mother became poorly and confused it was an easy decision to choose Maycroft. The staff are everything, truly wonderful, and they have nursed my mother back to full health. She is living her best life - happier and fitter than she has been for a long time. She says that everybody loves her - more could you ask for!
Lovely care home for my nan. Meets her needs well! Nan is very happy here and she loves the people. My nan enjoys the entertainment they provide and, of course, all of the delicious food and meals! The customer relationship manager and another staff member work incredibly hard and are always so supportive of us as a family. One member of the bistro staff in particular works so hard to keep not only my nan, but others happy, by keeping the bistro stocked up with delicious treats. So thank you to all for continually going above and beyond to make the residents happy.
When my brother was diagnosed with dementia and we were luckily able to secure a place at Maycroft Manor Care Home, I was extremely worried. I need not have been. His care has always been of the highest order and every single staff member here has been exceptional. He has been so happy here, feels totally at home and is given exceptional care by everyone with whom he comes into contact.
My sister and I are so happy with Maycroft Manor Care Home. They have supported all of Mum's needs so well. Thank you.
What a fantastic place!
My mother was admitted to Maycroft following the death of my father as she had Dementia and needed 24-hour care. The staff were amazing, kind, considerate and caring. Mum's room and the whole care home were immaculate, the food was lovely, carers were cheerful and enthusiastic at all times. Sadly mums condition deteriorated and she passed away recently. The end-of-life care, love and support we received was gold standard which gave us comfort during a sad time. We were able to visit anytime, supported emotionally and physically with food and drinks. Thank you so much to the management and all members of staff, this has given our family so much comfort knowing our mum had the best care at the end of her life.
There is one word that sums up Maycroft Manor Care Home, the care for my dad, the staff are friendly and very efficient, and that's outstanding. Thank you very much.
Maycroft Manor Care Home is a lovely carer home, the staff are all very friendly and very efficient, it has a nice atmosphere, the rooms and decor are light and airy. My husband is very happy and relaxed. What more can I say except a big thank you to everyone.
My mother was in Maycroft Manor for about nine months. She moved there from a place where she’d been unhappy. What made all the difference was having devoted and caring staff. The facilities were great, always clean and comfortable but it was the staff that made a difference. She really felt she was cared for. They have lots of organised activities there which I’m sure are great for many of the residents but not my mum's thing. It was the genuine interest and individual concern from the staff that she enjoyed.
My mum has been in Maycroft Manor for about three months now, and I can honestly say that she is receiving excellent care from all members of the team. She has opportunities every single day to attend organised activities, which stimulate her and give her purpose. The personal care is discreet and gives Mum the dignity that she deserves. When visiting, you are made to feel part of the community from the moment you enter the building, with big smiles and as many updates about your loved one as you could wish for. Mum has her hair done every week by the onsite hairdressers, her nails done and other beauty treatments. The food is excellent, and Mum is as happy and well looked after as we could ever wish for. Visiting is not restricted in any way, and we are always offered a drink and chatted when we arrive. Mum has a lovely ensuite room with all the necessary equipment she needs, but it feels more like a Hotel than a Care Home. Outstanding in every way; thank you.
My mother, who was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, was scared and frightened at the thought of being ‘abandoned’ in a care home, and to be fair, we had major concerns that she wouldn’t settle and be very unhappy. However, from the moment we met the team and reviewed the facilities and accommodation, we knew that this place was special and couldn’t be beaten for its quality of care and provision. My mum has been a resident for only one month, and she no longer wishes to go home; she loves the ‘really friendly people' who look after her, and her diet is so much better than we are sure her memory functioning has improved and her overall health is so much better. Most importantly, she is smiling again, enjoying life and now sees Maycroft as her new home to be enjoyed. As a family, we couldn’t be happier; it feels like this is our happy ending too.
A huge thank you to all the staff who made sure my mother had the best time she could during the last four months of her life in the Clement wing (for people with dementia). The friendliness, the commitment and the willingness of the staff was great to see. No one was left on their own for long and the staff really had the numbers and the interest to listen and spend time with the residents. Maycroft is purpose-built so the lounges, cafe, television and dining rooms are spacious and bright. That really helps produce a good atmosphere. Rooms were kept very clean and tidy and the activity programme means there was something on at least once every day. Having tried several other care homes, none of which were happy experiences, thank goodness we found Maycroft Manor.
We chose Maycroft Manor for my aunt last April when it was confirmed that she needed 24-hour care. She has received excellent care. Everything is very well organised - the rooms, the laundry, the food and the activities. Their knowledge, experience and professionalism has been excellent. This was especially apparent as she approached the end of her life. Her carers identified when a chest infection was not getting better, made contact with the NHS, liaised with the hospital and provided great care when she returned and became increasingly frail. They changed her mattress to reduce the risk of bed sores. They obtained dietary advice and liaised with her GP over palliative care. They requested further medical help when a new complication arose. As a result of their efforts, her final days were peaceful. And three weeks before she left us, they provided tea and cake so we could celebrate her 90th birthday with her. Thank you all staff at Maycoft Manor, you did a grand job.
Maycroft Manor really know how to put on a great party. Their recent barn dance was brilliant! Amazing food, the singer was really entertaining and it was so inclusive. The residents had a great time and the staff created a real party atmosphere. Can't wait until the next event!
Maycroft Manor is such a wonderful place in all aspects. The staff are incredible and treat residents and visitors exceptionally well. The activities are varied and plentiful and the food is of a very high standard. In my opinion, this care home sets a standard that all others should aspire to.
