View Full Details of Rosebery Manor Care Home - Avery CollectionI have been visiting a friend since she moved into Rosebery Manor Care Home nearly ten years ago. I have always found it to be a very caring and happy home with a lovely, warm atmosphere. Lately, I have been visiting more regularly and am always greeted with smiling, helpful, and attentive staff. My friend is also very happy with the high standard of care that she receives. Thank you very much to everyone involved at Rosebery Manor.
My Mother moved to RM 3 months ago and has settled in very well. The staff are always cheerful and helpful and make her feel as ease. My Mother had a serious health scare soon after arriving which resulted in a hospital admission which set her back in terms of her cognition and mobility. The staff have encouraged her to regain her previous levels of mobility and have been very attuned to any slight deterioration so that her health remains on a positive track. As a family, we are delighted with the care room at RM.
We're very happy with the level of care that is provided at all levels. All the staff are friendly and courteous, including cleaners, housekeeping, the 'activists' as Dad loves to call the activities team, the carers and nurses, reception, catering, management, and the team behind the scenes. If Dad has any issues, we can be certain he will be listened to and his views considered. The ambience and quality of the Care Home is akin to a smart, comfortable hotel. The gardens at the back of the home are nicely arranged with ample seating in good weather and a well-stocked, eye-catching pond. Our experience is that residents' family members and friends are welcome to visit. Coffee and tea are almost always available with fruit, biscuits, cakes or pastries and maybe wrapped sweets. There can sometimes be odd niggles. Providing this level of care to elderly loved ones is never straightforward. With Dad, we are confident that he is in the best place we could want for him. He is happy there too.
My aunt has just moved and she was met with a warm welcome. The staff have been kind to her and pop in to see her regularly making sure she has everything she needs. Her room is lovely with a great outlook over the garden. We were pleased that we could surround her with her own furniture and belongings. The home is spotlessly clean. It really is a home-from-home. Thank you.
Recently arranged for a close neighbour to take residency at Roseberry Manor. Very impressed by the empathy, professionalism, friendliness, and patience of the staff, nothing is too much trouble for them to ensure a comfortable and positive stay for their residents. Would recommend friends and family.
What a fabulous home! Mum went to stay there straight from hospital 2 weeks ago following a nasty fall at home, complicated leg fracture surgery, and 2 month hospital stay, unable to stand with 2 nurses fully hoisting from bed to chair, today I saw her stand! Apparently has done it several times now, obviously with help. Hospital had given up on her. That's dedication for you. The kindness and level of care she has been shown, along with the compassion for the family and friends visiting by all the staff is second to none. Beautifully clean, bright and airy. I doubt there is another home to match this. Plenty of activities if you wish (a tap dancer this afternoon!).
Rosebery Manor is a class apart from other care homes. We visited many homes for Dad and nothing came close to Rosebery. Every visitor, Dad has quite a few, has said that they would move in 'tomorrow', that even includes my children. Rosebery feels like a 5-star hotel, not a care home. The staff are all amazing. The activities every day are amazing too. Highly recommend a visit if you are looking or potentially going to be looking for care.
Having transferred to Rosebery Manor care home from hospital my Dad's mobility and mental capacity have improved quickly and greatly. This is thanks to the care and patience of the staff and beautiful facility. The home has been an absolute god send at a very traumatic time and I can't express my gratitude enough.
1. The staff were excellent, there quickly when needed. 2. His room was large enough for him to move around with either a rollator or a wheelchair. 3. The activities that he was able to attend suited him well, especially the films of the evening. 4. The other residents were very friendly. 5. The gardens were lovely, even in October. 6. The view of the gardens from his room was enjoyed by my husband. 7. Lovely to either get a coffee from the coffee bar or make one in my husband's room.
My mum went into the home for respite care after a fall. She was badly shaken by the fall and had become very dispirited and a little confused. It took a couple of weeks, but gradually we began to see her old self again. After 3 weeks at Rosebery, she was able to return home with a live-in carer. By the end of her respite stay, she was appreciating the love and kindness shown by the Rosebery staff.
Rosebery Manor is a beautiful care home, very well run by friendly and caring staff. My mother was there for respite for three weeks and felt very well looked after. There are always lots of activities, we had a good singing session one afternoon and even just sitting in the garden or looking at the fishpond gave my mum happy times. It's a relaxing place and the staff all work together so well to ensure all needs are catered for, whether medically or emotionally. I really appreciated the time they took to talk to my mum and really listen to how she was feeling. It is clear that the permanent residents are happy there, there is a friendly vibe and mealtimes are a place of much social interaction. Thank you for looking after her so well!
I have been living at Rosebery Manor for almost two years now. In that time I found the staff to be friendly and efficient. When they say things will get done, they usually do. The food is good and my suite is well-maintained. My move here has worked out well.
We shall remain forever grateful that Rosebery Manor was the care home we chose for my mother. After a stroke at the age of 104, we knew that she needed dedicated care. It is an exceptional care home. Residents live in beautiful, tasteful surroundings that resemble those of a high-quality hotel. The well-designed garden and fountain offer the residents the opportunity of fresh air, a short walk and the pleasure of looking at the plants. Rosebery Manor has a family atmosphere making residents as well as visitors feel at home. The staff - whether managerial, nursing, receptionists, housekeepers, or activity staff work very effectively as a team and are always on hand to assist residents. After a second major stroke, my mother received palliative care that was outstanding. Her dignity and comfort were maintained throughout four days. The staff looked after my husband and me alongside my mother. How I wish she could have enjoyed more than three months at Rosebery Manor.
My mother moved into Rosebery Manor in February 2024 having had a far from satisfactory experience residing at another home. She is loving it at Rosebery as is her family. Her care is excellent and she engages with the staff, joins in with the activities that interest her and enjoys having her hair done regularly. Would thoroughly recommend.
I spoke to virtually all the staff during my 2-week stay and thanked them. Individually.
My mother has been a resident of Rosebery Manor for nearly three weeks now. She has settled in so well. All the staff have been wonderful. Before my mother came to Rosebery, I met with their client liaison manager, who put me and my family at ease and made the move from the hospital so smooth. Their nursing care is excellent. The healthcare workers have all been so wonderful and caring to my mother. We are confident that our mother is in very safe hands and is being well cared for.
I stayed at Rosebery Manor for 2 weeks respite care after spinal surgery in March 2024. I felt totally safe and the environment enabled me to take the necessary rest required to go home and live independently. Medical cover from a qualified nurse 24 hours was important and Rosebery provide that. Accommodation, food, activities are excellent. Staff at all levels are well-trained and have the skills to handle issues diplomatically and sensitively. Rosebery Manor is a model of how a Care Home should be encouraging freedom of choice and assisting living to the highest degree possible within the limits of individual limitations. I would have no hesitation in recommending Rosebery Manor for long or short-term care.
My Mum wanted to stay independent in her own home (with in-home carers) for as long as possible, which she achieved but did then make the move to residential care quite stressful and rushed. Rosebery Manor however was clean, beautifully decorated (comparable to a high-end hotel), had excellent facilities and really most important of all my mum's care needs were carefully discussed with her and clearly understood. It was clear that my mum's needs and wellbeing were of paramount importance at Rosebery and we were given plenty of time to get our financial arrangements in place which was much appreciated. It took a few weeks to settle in (be prepared for this wherever you go) but once she had, she rapidly started making new friends with the other residents and staff. Sadly for my mum, her stay was all too short but I honestly cannot think of anywhere better for her to have been than Rosebery Manor. All of the staff are amazing. friendly, genuine,
We have been extremely satisfied with the help and friendliness of the staff at Rosebery Manor and would highly recommend it. The staff are all very helpful and make my Mother's stay as pleasant as possible. Food and rooms all excellent and overall very pleasant surroundings.
My father was very well cared for in Rosebery Manor - initially in the main part of the home and then in The Oaks, which is their dementia wing. I was particularly pleased with the way the staff all related to him. There was a lot of smiling and enthusiasm and I believe they were genuinely fond of him. I have to say that the first time I visited the dementia wing I felt a little bit intimidated. I didn't really know how to relate to people at various stages in the gentle slide downwards but after a few weeks it just seemed normal. The patience, warmth and cheerfulness from all the staff, whether carers or in other roles, made my dad feel comfortable and loved. I guess you can tell from a quick look round that the surroundings are lovely, but I was really pleased to discover that the staff are too.
