There are great activities happening and the residents are encouraged to join in. The home is always clean and tidy and the meals are lovely. We are very happy with this home.
I have been visiting my friend for over a year and have got to know the staff at Grove Park Care Home. Without exception, I cannot criticise or in any way say anything bad. They are all professional in their approach, compassionate and despite difficulties they always treat everyone with dignity. Thanks to all the staff for their care.
Grove Park have given Mum her sparkle back, she's keeping active, enjoying the food, making friends and just generally living her life to the fullest. She was only staying for respite but didn't want to leave, so is staying. The team are kind and supportive, with such a caring nature.
Mum moved into Grove Park nearly 3 years ago. She'd become increasingly lonely following lockdown and felt this was the best place for her and we were right. She has become so happy, content and most importantly she feels safe. She enjoys the food every day and enjoys all the activities provided to her. The home manager and clinical team are visible all the time and approachable with anything.
Grove Park was brilliant in handling my relatives respite stay. She loved her time there and barely could get her back home. The show round with the gentlemen through to the caring woman who did our pre-assessment, and the expert level of care from the care team. I couldn't be happier with her stay there! It was a very fast process, show round on a weekday, pre-assessment the same week and respite booked and sorted the week after! The care team really treated my family with so much dignity and respect, I would recommend to everyone. The only improvement I can think of is changing the activities as it seemed at the time there wasn't many options and the options available was all food related.
Dad's doing amazing at Grove Park. His overall improvement is such a blessing to the family. It feels like Grove Park has given Dad a new lease of life. He gives me nothing but praise for the care team and enjoys his meals every day.
Gran has always been nervous about the prospect of a care home, but since arriving at Grove Parl, she's settled and so happy. She calls me every day to tell me how much of a wonderful time she's having. Gran was originally staying for respite but decided to stay at Grove Park permanently she feels so safe and cared for.
My mum has been with Grove Park over 3 years and is happy, content and safe, which is what we wanted for Mum. The team are responsive to needs and they all care, which makes all the difference. Grove Park returned Mum's spark for life.
I can not thank Grove Park enough for the care and compassion shown towards my mum. She's so happy with her new friends, there are lots of things for her to do and enjoy. The food is delicious and plentiful.
Thank you, the staff were brilliant, everyone was friendly. The cakes were lovely (and the soup).
I would not hesitate to recommend Grove Park at Meanwood. My father was well cared for and enjoyed his 7 months there. I was listened to when I had any concerns and they were dealt with by staff or management promptly. Entertainment was good for those who wished to attend. The cleanliness of the home was amazing. We were always welcomed and in the last few days staff went above and beyond.
I visit my sister weekly and am always impressed by the dedication of the staff. They are always available to answer questions. Many activities are arranged for the residents. My sister is particularly fond of the musical afternoons which happen often. She is also taken out on short visits. She loves mealtimes! The patio is a pleasant area where we can have coffee. There is always a pleasant, welcoming atmosphere at Grove Park Care Home.
Our mum lived happily at Grove Park for the last year of her life. Although medically it's been a difficult time, the staff have ensured that it has been a good year for Mum. Mum's room was a real home from home, with lots of her own stuff making it feel like a good place to be. She enjoyed the facilities, the home and the food, all of which were outstanding. But most of all we have appreciated the quality and care of the staff at Grove Park. Kind, caring, professional and patient to a person. Nothing was too much trouble. We were particularly touched that several members of staff came to Mum's funeral. Thank you.
From the moment I walked into Grove Park it felt friendly, welcoming and just the environment I was looking for to care for my increasingly frail dad. Many of the team here have worked there for years and have other family members working at the home too. The whole place is kept very clean and well-aired. The activities team arrange so many daily activities that residents can choose to join in if they wish. Food is varied and plentiful. The outside patio is a wonderful place to sit when the weather permits. The coffee shop is a popular place for residents to meet and chat or take part in bingo, quizzes and various other activities. Outside entertainers coming into the home regularly - such as singers, piano players - really get the residents engaged. The main difference, for me, with Grove Park is the people who work there. Such a caring, lovely team. I don’t think I’d have found anywhere better in Leeds for Dad’s final months.
The care home is very well-run by a great team of caring staff. Facilities are high quality, staff appear well-trained and caring.
Have done two respite stays with Mum and I've been really impressed with the home. Staff are great and it's a lovely environment with lots for Mum to do. She has been happy here.
The staff are very kind and attentive, though staffing numbers sometimes feel a little stretched. Meals are good and my parent enjoys the food. Housekeeping is generally good and I feel that the overall care is good. Activities are hard to find something that everyone enjoys or can participate in, but residents are encouraged to join in. In terms of value for money, fees have increased massively and I don't consider all of these are justified. Head office don't do a great job of that.
I visited a friend who has been in Grove Park Care Home for a while. What a lovely place it is. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. My friend was telling me about the amazing activities they do. She says she loves being in there, she feels safe and well looked after. The staff are like her family. Everywhere was so clean and bright and the food looked delicious. I'm so pleased I visited my friend and to see her happy and well looked after.
Dad has been at Grove Park for four years now and has never been happier. He's made such an improvement from where he moved in from. He takes regular trips out and has made great companionships. I fell at home when I visit Dad.
Mum is fully enjoying her retirement at Grove Park. She's keeping active, making friends, and even gaining weight. The team are so receptive to us and listens with great empathy. The recent refurb of the foye looks amazing.
