View Full Details of Mossvale Care HomeFantastic in all aspects, staff introduced themselves to me and my brother as soon as we arrived. He now thinks he stays in a 5-star hotel which in my opinion tells you how wonderful Mossvale is. So far his care has been exceptional. We had a bad experience in the past with other care homes but now he is happy and content and smiling for the first time in nearly 2 years.
My mum became a resident in June of this year. Our whole experience has been fantastic. All the staff and facilities are excellent. My mum has settled in very well, and I am very thankful for this and the care they give to my mum.
Have nothing but praise for the staff in Mossvale. They do an amazing job and we know our mum is well looked after. There is an excellent activity plan every week and they do their best to get the residents out and about when possible.
Great care home. Staff very friendly. You can visit anytime. They are very transparent. Activities on each day for residents. Felt at ease visiting, and nothing was too much trouble. Very clean and tidy!
Mossvale Care Home has great, friendly, professional staff. It's got a great programme of activities for the residents and is very clean and tidy. The manageress is a lovely, friendly lady and very approachable and gets great respect from her staff and this is important.
Mother settled very well and treated very good. Very safe environment and friendly staff. Food could be better.
The hardest thing we had to do was accept my dad had to go into care. When we were shown around Mossvale Care Home it felt so homely and friendly. We have not been disappointed, my dad has been living here for several months now. Knowing he's happy, safe and well cared for is everything we wanted. The staff are all amazing and nothing is too much, they all go above and beyond. Knowing my dad is part of the Mossvale family makes leaving him there so much easier after every visit, thank you all at Mossvale!
The cafe is a welcome initiative to the home. Lovely decorated and a nice place to sit. It makes for a much more pleasant visit for both residents and visitors. It is also good to meet other residents and their visitors and to hear different voices. Suggest maybe add a small library where visitors can bring books, magazines etc. Also, a good place to have better interaction with the staff on a less formal basis.
My sister is very happy and settled in Mossvale Care Home. I am confident that she is being very well looked after and pleased to be kept informed of any health or other problem that might arise. The one fly in the ointment, for all members of my family, is the two pugs who bark and growl when we enter the building. When this happens, I ask that they be removed, which a member of staff will do.
My aunt, who has dementia, has resided in Mossvale Care Home for 3 months and has received excellent care by the hardworking staff. Our family are provided with constant updates on her ever changing care needs by her carers and the nursing staff. The activities coordinator organises various things for the residents to do to fill their day, from baking, knitting, crafts, singing, etc. My aunt regularly has her hair and nails done. I can honestly say that she is well cared for.
As a family, we are happy to see my brother settled and happy. His carers look after him very well and keep us updated on any issues with him. They also inform us of any activities he has attended or are available to him. The staff in Mossvale Care Home are friendly, caring and welcoming. Thank you for looking after him.
My mum has now been a resident for 4 years and 4 months, the staff are exceptional and make her smile every day, she is settled and loved, even when we can't get close there is always someone that cares for her around. Even during the pandemic, they tried so hard to keep in contact with family which was exceptionally hard for everyone concerned. The activities keep residents motivated and happy they do a fantastic job, and their social media letting you see your loved ones is so good for all family members to see loved ones even when they are not close by. Couldn't think of a better place for my mum, when we take her out and bring her back she smiles and says I'm home. Means the world, knowing loved ones are happy.
Extremely pleased with the care and relationships that all staff and management have with my mother, they go above and beyond their job description. There is always some kind of entertainment/activities for the residents to stimulate them. I have never had many issues with them but any that I have had has been dealt with instantly and efficiently.
Mossvale has been the best move for both my parent's since my dad moved in February this year. He has settled in great with the help of the fantastic team of staff and Mum and the rest of the family have peace of mind that he is well looked after and is happy and safe. Mossvale was highly recommended by my husband's family who also have relatives in the home which was the main reason we chose Mossvale after a bad respite experience in another home. All the staff are so approachable and nothing is a bother or hassle for them. The entertainment that is organised is great and the girls are always encouraging Dad to join in! One member of staff, in particular, has been great at dealing with any problems or questions we have had, he will be a great loss to the home.
I have found management and staff very approachable. I am happy with this home.
Very friendly on arrival, met by staff at the front door who made me feel very welcome and directed me to my friend's room for my visit. Found the care home very clean and staff very nice and chatty.
Absolute best care home hands down, in my opinion! Wouldn’t go anywhere else. The staff are amazing and very very attentive! My gran has settled in so so well and she has become a new woman since being in here. I am so happy she has been getting well taking care of!
Mossvale staff have been amazing in helping my mum settle in the home. She was admitted through Covid and they all did an amazing job. This has continued to date and improvements are still ongoing. Very clean and welcoming home.
I must say that since the new manager has started I have seen a great improvement in the way the care home is moving forward. He is always ready to listen to anything I have concerns about and will sit and talk them over and I come home feeling reassured that my mum is being well cared for. The home has some lovely staff who are truly interested in getting to know their residents. The new chef is also a hit cooking up some lovely meals and cakes for the residents. I know my mum is getting the care she needs at this stage of her life.
Mum has been in the home for four years. It has gone through changes, especially in the past year. Staff are kind. The dementia unit is in dire need of decorating and updating. There were 4 activity coordinators where now there is one, which is a concern. Activities are vitally important and more activities should be a priority. One person is not enough. Overall, Mum is content. However, more staff interaction with clients in the lounge areas would be good. A gardening group has been set up where relatives can come in and do work but the owners need to invest in new garden furniture.
