View Full Details of Seacroft GrangeFollowing on from my previous review I am still a great supporter of Seacroft Grange Care Home and the care they provide for my wife. Whilst nothing is absolutely perfect, so there have been small issues that I feel could have been dealt with in a faster time.
Mum has been a resident since July 2023 with Dementia. This is a well run Care Home and Mum settled in well most of the time. Reception are excellent, so helpful and great first point of contact if I have any questions or need assistance. Mum lives in Courtyard and has a comfortable, clean sunny room. Seniors and all staff are brilliant, treating residents with kindness, care, dignity and respect. After a short period of withdrawal and weight loss last year when Mum wouldn't come out of her room and lost her appetite. Home Manager solved the issue and Mum has now gained weight and is sitting back in communal areas so thank you. Activities available to residents are excellent with a lot of energy put in to entertainment, making a happy home for all who live there. The Bistro Cafe is a lovely place to take Mum during visiting and I would highly recommend The Grange to anyone who maybe looking for a safe, happy and caring environment for a loved one.
The Care my mother receives is excellent. All the teams are very attentive and approachable. The activities are well organised and I know my mum enjoys it most when the activity involves music and dancing.
Always helpful, friendly staff on duty, and many activities for my brother to enjoy along with various health services available in the home. My brother is a long-term resident and is very happy living in the home, I believe that he gets on well with all the staff and other residents.
My sister has been a resident at Seacroft Grange since the beginning of Lock-Down. She has always been treated with the utmost loving-kindness and respect. I am confident that she is well cared for and that her health, safety, and wellbeing are catered for.
I can't talk highly enough of the care they give to my (not always an easy lady) sister, there are always lots of activities to keep them entertained. The staff are just great with her. I would certainly recommend Seacroft Grange Care Village.
The staff are friendly and take great care of my mum. I don't live near the home so the staff always make sure I get a video call from my mum once a week. Mum feels safe and looked after in the home and her family are happy that she is able to enjoy her remaining years.
My mother has been a resident for more than 5 years and as I live far away and can’t visit regularly, I gain comfort that my mother is well cared for and her needs met on a daily basis. There is genuine affection from the carers and her dignity is respected as her dependency increases. The management team are very approachable and work hard to keep residents engaged with a programme of daily activities, as well as arranging regular video calls to keep relatives and friends who wish to participate informed of such topics as the status of staff recruitment, planned activities, care home upkeep etc.
My ma is slipping deeply into her dementia. We are working together with the home to ensure she is safe and as independent as she can be. She tends to clutter her room up, so we've together removed some items. She is now under DOL which is great, as I know she's safe. The staff are excellent, patient-centred, and genuinely care about the residents
My mum became a resident a few months ago and is very happy at Seacroft Grange. The staff are truly exceptional, providing an outstanding level of care. Nothing is too much trouble. Mum’s room is cosy, inviting, comfortable and clean, just like the rest of the surroundings. It’s a bonus to have a comfortable electric armchair in her room, which means she can elevate her legs. My mum feels secure, valued, and respected. My family and I are always made to feel very welcome whenever we visit.
My 92-year-old father has never looked better and he’s never felt more comfortable and cared for. Care workers, including kitchen staff and reception are just brilliant. Everyone is so friendly, helpful and approachable. The most important thing about the staff on the Wilson unit is that they care and that gives me and families peace of mind. I have never had any issues concerning my father’s care and would highly recommend Seacroft Grange Care Home.
A married couple moved into The Grange Care Village in urgent circumstances, moving from North Yorkshire to be closer to their special needs daughter. The care and support for their daughter offered by the home has been excellent, kind and warm. Sadly the wife died leaving her husband who was sensitively moved to a less secure part of the home. Attention to well-being is exceptional with activities provided during the day, 7 days a week with priority given to encourage residents to socialise together whilst allowing them to develop new skills. Their spiritual care is also catered for with visits to the local church weekly. I would have no hesitation in recommending The Grange Care Village.
The staff at Seacroft Grange are fabulous. They really care about the residents and interact well. I would have given five stars, but the things that let it down slightly are that faults seem to take a long time to fix (think they're short on maintenance staff), value for money and some of the food.
Throughout the time my husband has been resident in Seacroft Grange the care he has received has been excellent. He took a while to settle and accept that this was now to be his home but with patient care and understanding he is now at ease. He is grateful for his care and has a good, friendly relationship with all of the girls. Apart from some confusion over personal items being misplaced despite everything being named and some items put in his room which were not his we have had no issues at all. As a visitor I always receive a warm welcome and people mostly are readily available for a chat and an update. Thank you for your care.
Once again, I had a cracking week at the Grange. From the wonderful manager to the fantastic receptionist, they all welcome me into their 'family' at the Grange. They put up with my shenanigans and my cheekiness. The great well-being team help make the days go with fun and laughter. Thank you all for a great week.
Such a warm welcoming home. Every time we arrive, the staff at the desk always know us; they greet us with a smile and always mention how my mum has been. You really get a feeling that they know her; she's not just a number. The carers and nurses are always upbeat and cheery. They are happy to chat and discuss how Mum has been and ask if we have any concerns. The place is filled with laughter and familiarity. We tried a different home before finding Seacroft, and we felt the staff didn't want to get to know the residents and certainly wouldn't speak to us about Mum. Seacroft Grange is a wonderful care home, and we are so glad our mum is there.
This nursing home is very welcoming. All the staff are very caring and help both my sister and myself if I need anything. I would recommend it to anyone who is needing care.
My mum has been in Seacroft Grange since February. Mum loves it there, and all the staff go above and beyond - nothing is too much trouble, and they are so friendly. My dad's so happy when he visits Mum; she is always clean and tidy and so happy. Thank you so much - we really are so happy with all of Mum's care.
My mum spent just short of eight weeks on a hospital ward with complications relating to a sudden UTI. During her stay, she was largely bed-bound and lost her mobility and independence. She moved to Seacroft Grange to rehabilitate for a few weeks. Her room is beautiful, as are the communal areas. The staff are exceptional, professional, caring, kind and personable. She loves the food, and the activities are fabulous. She has made many friends, they support her, and the progress she has made is great!
My husband moved to Seacroft Grange in March this year. Unfortunately, he is still not settled. The carers are wonderful, patient and kind. The food is reasonable, and my husband has no complaints. The carers struggle fir to shortages of staff but still manage to put residents at ease and well cared for.
