View Full Details of Wiltshire Heights Care HomeI visited the home and everyone was so welcoming and friendly. It was a lovely room and the staff were very helpful, I would definitely recommend. The weekly activities are great. Only wish they had made the move sooner!
My mother was a resident at Wiltshire Heights for nearly 2 years and recently passed away. Wiltshire Heights was a perfect place for my mum. She received excellent attention from a loving and caring team of nurses and other staff. Her room was light and bright and had a beautiful outlook into the courtyard where mum could see birds and squirrels. You made my mum's last few years as comfortable as possible, and we will be forever grateful for that. I would not hesitate to recommend Wiltshire Heights to anyone looking for a long term care home for their loved one.
I cannot fault the care given to my mother during the last couple of months of her life. The staff from very department were thoughtful and very often members of the care team would sit and read to her and have a chat. Overall, excellent. However, with regard to value for money, I feel that services such as hairdressing and chiropody should be included and a weekly physio visit.
The staff and facilities at Wiltshire Heights are both excellent. The staff are so kind and caring, yet diligent too. Everyone is easy to approach and all go above and beyond. They are worth their weight in gold. The facilities are like a hotel! Very comfortable, well equipped rooms and lovely, comfortable lounges around the building for time away from your bedroom, a private dining room so you can enjoy a meal with family, a hair salon etc. They also arrange and lay-on a vast array of activities including walks out for those that are able. The food was also excellent, a great choice at meal times and tea, cake, refreshments available all the time!
The house manager was very responsive from the time I enquired about the care home. My father is well looked after at the home and his care needs are being met. Whenever the family have a query about my father's care, we can always approach the care staff or the manager directly which is great. Keep up the good work!
Wiltshire Heights took our parents in at short notice for respite care following hospital stays. Wiltshire Heights was extremely accommodating, flexible and caring from the start. Every one of the staff works together very well as a most caring and cheerful team. The communal rooms are beautifully designed and decorated and while spacious enough seem homely too. A lovely range of trips and activities.
My mother has been looked after with considerable kindness and consideration. The staff are aware of her foibles and her somewhat cantankerous manner but are always understanding and keen to find solutions. I believe that Wiltshire Heights is well run and managed with a firm but light touch. I recommend anyone looking for a caring environment for their relatives to take a look at Wiltshire Heights; you will not be disappointed.
My sister and I viewed several care homes in the local area when looking for a care home for our father and Wiltshire Heights was far the best by a long way of the ones we visited. Everyone from the time you step into the home makes you feel welcome. The home is beautifully decorated, clean and warm, the food is excellent too with lots of activities going on to suit all the interests of the residents. Dad is extremely well cared for and the nursing staff are very kind, respectful and caring towards him. The team on Poppy Ward are always happy and cheerful and nothing is too much for them when you ask them for something on a visit. I am very pleased with the care my dad is receiving from Wiltshire Heights.
My father was admitted to Wiltshire Heights 4 months ago and our experience has been excellent from the start. The home is beautifully decorated, spacious and light. Food is excellent, with a good choice for every meal. Staff are very supportive of the service user and family during the initial admission period which we found to be very emotional due to the huge change of circumstances that we were experiencing. The support is ongoing. The staff are kind, caring and friendly, treat my father with dignity and respect - he is very comfortable with all his team. The nurses are proactive in their care, and communication is excellent on all aspects of my father's care. Social needs are met by the activity ladies and the minibus team. Both teams are wonderful as they enable activities appropriate to my father's interests, having taken the time to get to know him and his interests. I can only praise and thank Wiltshire Heights for all that the staff do for us.
I cannot stress how much care was taken of my mother in the lead-up to admission to Wiltshire Heights Care Home and during her stay. Every member of staff tried their utmost to make my Mother comfortable and attend to her needs. The nursing staff in particular made sure the best care was available, organising a special mattress when needed, and being diligent in their care. My regret is that my mother should have come into the care home earlier so that she could have enjoyed the full facilities. She did enjoy the in-house hairdressing salon which made a big difference to her. The rooms are very nice and have a pleasant outlook onto well-maintained patios and gardens and the food choice is along the lines of an expensive hotel. Security is top-notch, there was always parking for visitors available on the adjacent road close by. I would recommend Wiltshire Heights with complete confidence of care.
Mum (92) has now been in Wiltshire Heights for about a year after it became clear that Dad (95) was not able to care for her any longer as she had been in hospital and has mild dementia. From the day she moved in we felt a great sense of relief that she was now well cared for. As we are very local we pop in frequently and have got to know the staff, and I have to say that they are fantastic, her care has been brilliant even as she declines and needs more attention. The atmosphere is lovely, there is always someone to have a laugh with, and it really does feel like a "home". Last September when we were in need of a holiday, Dad came in for respite for 3 weeks and he enjoyed it, and I am sure that when he can no longer cope in his flat he will move to Wiltshire Heights as well.
Making the decision to move Mum to a care home wasn't an easy one. As soon as I visited Wiltshire Heights I knew that it was going to be the right place. From the first phone contact to initial visits and moving in, my Mum and I were treated with kindness, care, respect and understanding. All the staff are welcoming, skilled, extremely professional and have gone above and beyond to accommodate and meet Mum's needs. Her room is very clean and homely and it is a huge benefit having access to the garden to watch the birds and squirrels. Attention to detail is meticulous with regard to health care and medication and Mum is always shown the utmost respect and treated with dignity. Mealtimes give the day structure and social interaction as well as delicious and varied food! The programme of activities is comprehensive and delivered in a stimulating way by a talented team. There are not enough superlatives to describe the experience my family is having at Wiltshire Heights!
I moved my parents into Wiltshire Heights in Bradford-on-Avon last August. They had been living with me but they were struggling with stairs and using the shower room. It was my father who suggested moving into a care home. We saw a number of homes but Wiltshire Heights was by far the best. The team was so supportive and accommodating at the viewings that it showed the home was the right fit for my dear parents. Mum and Dad fell in love with the house and were happy to move in. Wiltshire Heights is like a home and not a facility, all the staff from management to the housekeeping team are friendly and respectful of the needs of my parents. There are also a lot of varied activities which they join in with and a lot of trips and I feel confidence and assured that my dear parents are being looked after by a professional and supportive team.
We had to organise respite care for my mum at very short notice after she had a fall. All the staff at Wiltshire Heights were very helpful and efficient. They arranged a place very quickly and took all the stress out of the situation. The care Mum received was excellent and with great dignity and compassion. I would definitely come back to Wiltshire Heights if required and highly recommend the home and their staff.
We all need to be loved and cared for in our later years and this I have found. A lovely feeling of warmth, caring and fun in our everyday life, so our days are meaningful and have joy in them. A real sense of coming home and being part of a community and not isolated as we progress in years. Thanks all around.
On visiting my friend again I found the staff to be patient and attentive to those in their care.
My father stayed here for a few weeks respite care after breaking his leg and coming out of hospital. The care we received was wonderful and he was given nursing care as well as companionship. Originally he was due to stay for 2 weeks but we extended his stay for an extra week to get him mobilized and back to feeling that he would be able to cope back at his retirement village. A routine of good care, excellent food at regular times and an adjustment to his medication worked wonders.
Wiltshire Heights is a godsend. A wonderful home where my aunt has been welcomed and cared for appropriately and with great kindness. The room is spacious and clean. The food is varied, delicious and plentiful. After a slightly wobbly start, my aunt is now pleased to call it home.
Since my husband's move to Wiltshire Heights, I feel such a relief that he is now receiving excellent care in a comfortable and pleasant environment. I cannot speak highly enough of all the staff at all levels, but it must be hats off to the very kind and courteous care personnel for their respectful and compassionate interactions with my husband. I must also praise the kitchen staff for making meal times a delight, and for catering for the particular dietary requirements of my husband. Devastating as it is, I am content that he is in the best care environment.
My mother who has Parkinson's and dementia has received a very top quality of care at this home on her final days with us. We cannot thank the staff enough for their kindness and love for our mother and the level of care has been very professional and so kind. I highly recommend this care home and can't thank everybody enough. The manager is fantastic, kind and very welcoming. A great job and top quality level of service. All residents met so far in this home are very happy and always smiling. All cleaning staff are an asset to the company, this place is 5 star. Thank you all so much for caring for my mum and looking after my dad!
