View Full Details of Priors HouseWe moved both of my parents in to Priors House in December 2024. Mum needed end-of-life care for her cancer and Dad needed more day-to-day care for his dementia. I just have no words to describe how amazing this care home (and it's staff) are. They rescued us in our hour of need and showed unbelievable care, professionalism and love from the moment that we walked in the door.
My mother was a resident for just over a year. The care she received during this period was excellent, particularly in her last few weeks. The whole team showed good understanding and empathy as well as working together as a team with utmost team spirit. At all times they made family members most welcome and could not do enough for Mum or us.
Having my Father put in two previous Care Homes receiving very poor care. I moved him to Priors House, Leamington, yes a lot of money but the value was extreme. All aspects of care, entertainment, medical care, reception, and office admin were 300%. I could not say enough to praise the carers. One carer in particular was a diamond and worked well with my Dad who was causing trouble constantly with dementia. Already recommended Priors House to others.
During my mother's two years at Priors House, we were always very impressed with the care provided. All staff took the time to get to know her as an individual and she was looked after with professionalism, dignity and friendliness. We visited frequently and always found my mother calm, contented and happy. Thank you to all the team.
Have had excellent experience with this home since 2016 when my father was here. Now my mother is here permanently and is receiving 5-star treatment.
My father, father-in-law and now my mother-in-law have all received excellent care whilst in Priors house.
The word which we would use to describe Priors House is 'kind'. All the staff, whether carers, nursing, maintenance, reception or admin, all extended a tremendous kindness to Mum and also to her family from the moment she came into the home until the day she died. From the beginning we were struck by the sense of community that was established in the home by the staff and residents alike. We were made to feel very welcome, with cakes and drinks available at all times of day and night; in addition, space was created for us to be with Mum both day and night when we most needed it. Regardless of position, all the staff demonstrated great kindness to Mum, and also to us, caring for us as we cared for her. The home is bright, warm and welcoming. There are numerous activities to choose from, and also quiet spaces and a pleasant garden if that's more appropriate. We have no hesitation in recommending Priors House most highly.
My father has settled in really well. Both admin, management, nurses and carers have been wonderful. I am happy that Dad at the age of 92 is in the best possible place.
A very caring home with lots of great activities happening each day. All the staff are warm, friendly and caring towards residents and their families.
On the occasions that I have been to see my nan, the care I have seen her receive has been to an excellent standard.
Since my mother moved into Priors House in the summer, we have been very happy with the warm, welcoming environment and high standard of care. We have been particularly struck by the kindness and patience shown by all staff. Everyone with whom we've come into contact has been friendly and helpful, and we are always greeted at reception by name and with a smile. The rooms could be a little larger, but the ensuite bathrooms are a good size. Everywhere is very clean. There are regular meals and snacks on offer throughout the day, and my mother particularly likes the hot chocolate in the free cafe downstairs. Various activities are available every day, and there is a well-maintained and very pleasant garden. We hope that there will be an opportunity for outings when the weather improves. We have no hesitation in recommending Prior House and are glad that my mother is living in such a safe and supportive home.
Our mum was given a terminal diagnosis and came to spend her last few months at Priors House. We were apprehensive about her going into a home but very quickly knew we had absolutely made the right choice. Mum was really happy there. She formed good connections with the staff, and they looked after her well. In Mum's final days, the staff not only cared for her, they looked after us as well. We can not speak highly enough about Priors House. We would recommend them to anyone and feel they totally deserve their “outstanding” CQC achievement.
My father has been given a warm welcome and is being treated for all his various ailments. Staff are all friendly and welcoming and treat the residents as individuals, with respect.
Excellent care was given to my mother, especially at the end of her life.
My mum gets excellent care in the home and the staff and carers are always welcoming.
I am completely happy with every aspect of the care my mother-in-law receives.
My wife and I were looking for a care home for my mother-in-law. After visiting quite a few we selected Priors House. It’s a lovely and welcoming building with a wonderful cafe on site. My mother-in-law has been in since August and is loving it. It’s more like a hotel than a care home. The rooms are spacious, extremely clean with an ensuite bathroom. It’s close to the town centre of the local town but surrounded by fields with lovely views. What makes Priors House stand out is the team they have there. One of your managers was so welcoming to us and helped with all our queries. From the reception staff to all the carers they are so friendly, caring, and treat my mother-in-law with respect and kindness. Anyone considering a care home for their loved one should take a look at Priors and I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. Mother-in-law thinks she is in a 5-star hotel and it certainly feels like it.
My mum has recently gone into Priory Care Home in Leamington. After only two weeks she is so much happier and has settled in really well. The home is in an ideal location, surrounded by countryside but only minutes from the town centre. It is spotless and the bedrooms are spacious and immaculate with all rooms having en suites. There are daily activities plus a cinema, shop and hairdressers. It doesn’t feel like a care home, more like a hotel with welcoming staff and a really pleasant cafe where we can sit and chat. What makes this care home special though are the people who work there and look after my mum. They are so caring and friendly and cannot do enough for her. After looking around a few care homes, this one came out top. I know my mum is being cared for and I really enjoy visiting her.
My husband was in a hospice, extremely ill with cancer. The hospice was wonderful and had achieved pain control, but for good reasons felt he would be better in a quiet atmosphere to receive end of life care. He was assessed and it was agreed my husband would move to Priors House. Next day, once installed in a delightful room, with a view of the countryside, he soon felt secure and at home. Priors has a hugely experienced team of nurses and their care is outstanding. The carers are equally good and quickly get to know their patient. But all the staff also look after the patient's family. Nothing was too much trouble. My husband died after only five days. My comfort is that he died peacefully with family with him. We are indebted to such support and professionalism. Thank you Priors House.
Priors House is exceptional. The staff, the culture and the facilities are just what we were looking for. The welcome Mum received when she arrived was very warm. Within moments of her arrival, several staff members had welcomed her and let her know how they could help her. My experiences of other care homes varied from indifference (being made to wait up to 20 minutes after calling for staff) to moribund with closed doors, invisible staff and uncleaned carpets – places that make you want to turn and run. Priors House is entirely different. It’s light and spotless and the communal areas are comfortable and inviting. The staff are, without exception, responsive, friendly and kind. Mum enjoys the perfect mix of a cosy yet spacious, private space in her room and the connectedness of the noise and bustle of a place that has life just outside her door. She is happily living in this home where people are treated like adults; quite unlike the infantilism that feels ubiquitous elsewhere.
