View Full Details of Golden Sands Residential HomeMy husband was in need of respite care and we feel so lucky to have secured a week's vacancy at Golden Sands. From the minute we walked in to 'view' until he came home my husband felt cared for and appreciated in a very personal and professional manner. All the staff were very kind and helpful, the food was excellent and catered for his particular requirements perfectly. When I fetched him home he was sorry to go and was so happy we will be hoping to return. Thank you all!
Golden Sands is a home from home for residents, as far as any residential home can be. My mum (95 and with multiple health issues) has settled in extraordinarily well in just a short time and speaks very highly of the home and its lovely caring staff. They have got her interested in life again, eating with pleasure, better than in years, and enjoying the environment (including the large and lovely garden) and the variety of activities, as well as her friendly fellow residents. The staff are also friendly and responsive towards me and keep me well informed; so I feel completely confident that Mum is in kind, safe hands. We were extremely lucky to get her into Golden Sands and I can’t speak too highly of it. Thank you!
After looking at a number care homes for my mother, Golden Sands stood out from all the rest as the most caring owners and staff. My mother, who was 96, never thought that she would be happy in a home. After a matter of weeks, mother was calling Golden Sands her new home. One staff member in particular along with the rest of the staff made us so welcome from the start. Mother had lovely room which was and airy, at all times the room was spotlessly clean, her clothes were washed and ironed to mother's satisfaction which is something for lady of 96 with very high standards. When ever I visited my mother at least twice a week, she was enjoying the entertainment and joining in. Up to her last days the staff were most caring even sitting with her when she passed away. I would highly recommend Golden Sands as a caring and happy home with some of the best staff I have come across. Thank you all for looking after my mother.
Our mother lived at Golden Sands for two years, ending her life here in May this year. From the beginning of her time, the staff all determined to make her feel at home and comfortable. In the beginning, she found it difficult to adjust, however, every effort was made to work with the family to help Mum make this her new home. She soon began calling Golden Sands 'home' and made many new friends, some residents but also many of the staff also. Some of her family live considerable distances away and yet just a phone call would reassure us that Mum was doing fine, and at all times staff were friendly and welcoming, no matter how busy they were, they too became our friends. Whether calling in to visit as a local or long distant relative we were all always made welcome. In the end, the management and staff at Golden Sands did everything humanly possible to work with Mum's GP, family and her worsening condition through old age, and we all cannot thank Golden Sands enough for Mum's time here.
