View Full Details of Lakeside ViewMy husband was admitted in 2018 with complex nursing needs and has lived here since. The manager, nursing team, administration and team leaders are exceptional in their care for residents and their families. They are very able to facilitate continuing NHS funding for residents with complex care needs, getting one-to-one funding when needed and their terminal care is above and beyond the standard anticipated in a hospice. I cannot recommend them highly enough. The social activities organisers work really hard to ensure good quality activities both inside and outside the home. The catering is excellent and the rooms are very homely and comfortable; my husband's room was personalised to reflect his love of a football club. When there are problems they are investigated and remedied promptly and the attention to safeguarding and quality is exemplary. Most of all, the carers, the leadership team and staff are kind, genuinely invested in the residents and caring, and very approachable- highly recommend.
My aunt has now been at Lakeside View for just over a year. The staff have taken the time to get to know her and it was clear when she was recently unwell that they are all genuinely fond of her. Communication is great and I am routinely kept up to date - someone is also always available to discuss any concerns. As there is no family nearby, it has been reassuring to know she is well looked after, that staff are spending time with her and that all her needs are being met.
My relative has been in Lakeside since September 2019. I have had no problems for either myself or my relative. All through the pandemic, their first concern was for her and her safety although not being able to visit in person was hard they offered zoom visits. The home is also clean and odourless, the staff are helpful and are on top of any medical issues with good communication with the family.
My dad has been at Lakeside for two years now. He loves it there. We have always found the staff to be very caring and friendly. I am always updated if my dad is unwell. I receive regular phone calls from the nurse about his care plan, and if I need anything to ass or am concerned about/ My dad enjoys the entertainment and activities. He also loves the variety of food. Thank you all.
Lakeside View Care Home is caring, supportive to relatives as well as residents. The home is spotlessly clean. The manager does the utmost best to make sure your loved one is happy and settled. The admin team is very helpful. There is a warmth feel about the home when you walk in. The activity person is very bubbly and takes pride in her job. All in all, I am happy with this home I would recommend Lakeside View. I can't comment on the food as my husband doesn't eat. The roast dinner on a Sunday smells good though.
My wife has been in Lakeside View Care Home since October 2021. She had previously been in a nursing home and developed serious bedsores over a very short time and ended up in hospital. After a spell in hospital she was transferred to Lakeside where they nursed her back to health. They keep me fully informed of her condition, in fact I got a call this morning about a review into her condition that they had carried out today.
Whenever we visit Dad, the staff are always very welcoming. The appropriate checks are made as regards Covid and we are shown to a room to visit him. We can spend as much time as we like with him. His carers are always updating us as to his well-being, mood and health and he always appears smart and well looked after. The home appears well run and it is always clean. We are very happy with Dad being here. I recommend this home.
Everyone I've come across is friendly, pleasant and supportive. Particularly the admin person, she's very efficient in giving you the information you need. She remembers things you tell her and asks after family members. As a visitor, you feel quite valued.
My husband has been at Lakeside View for almost five years, during which time, he has been cared for with great dignity and kindness. As his condition has deteriorated, his care has been adjusted accordingly. The staff are excellent and have been very supportive to me also, and the home is generally managed very well.
My father has been a resident here for almost three years. As expected, his dementia has become worse. His continued care and support at Lakeside has been wonderful. As a family, we have been welcomed anytime for visits and always contacted with updates on his health and well being and recommendations of ways to improve his quality of life. The caregivers never cease to amaze us with their kind and upbeat attitude when dealing with him. He is living in a secure and happy environment.
Viewed home Wednesday, very impressed with staff and the look of the home. Very homely. Took room straight away. My brother is very happy there.
This lady was released after 4 1/2 months on section 2/3 of the mental health act. On the advice of the consultant, she was placed at Lakeside View 10 months ago. Recently one to one funding was requested by Lakeside View - result pending. The likely prognosis is that she is in the last 12 months or so of her life. Now aged 72. For the first 3 months, I visited every afternoon to take this lady into town. During the next 2 months, her condition deteriorated. For the last 5 months, I now visit every lunchtime for 2 1/2 hours. During December 2018 spoon feeding stated due to weight loss - at 51kg there is little room for this. During the last 10 months, I have never observed any mistreatment of residents - only kindness,m caring and compassion. Lunch is served with beer or wine. This Sunday being Easter, we have an Easter Bonnet parade and singalong. I have only the highest praise for Lakeside View Nursing Home.
Lakeside is an excellent nursing home, my dad receives the very best of care, love and attention there. I would not want him anywhere else. My dad has Alzheimer's with challenging behaviour which is why my mum and me were not able to care for him. The Lakeside, staff are amazing at judging and distracting my dad in a loving and respectful way so he stays calm and happy. The home is always clean and provides lots of stimulation for all residents. The chefs and catering staff provide an abundance of yummy healthy nutritionally balanced food, my dad's belly and the amount of energy he has at his age shows how well fed he is. I would not hesitate to recommend the Lakeside, to anyone who is searching for a good home for their loved one.
Lakeside View is ideally located with pleasant views and spacious rooms. The mental health nurses do an excellent job supervising my mother's care and medication. The staff are kindly but somewhat overworked, so do not always provide an excellent standard of personal care for my absent-minded mother. Mother is happier here than in either of the other two homes she has used but the fees are very high.
After visiting several care homes in the area I was pleased to find Lakeside View Care Home in Southport. It's position, facilities and spaciousness are admirable and my father has settled well. On the first day my father arrived his needs were assessed and they have been addressed since, he has received first class care.
I have found all staff to be open, friendly, helpful, professional and caring. My husband is cared for much better than in his previous care home and while he is difficult progress is continually being made.
