View Full Details of Edgbaston ManorVery friendly and willing to go the extra mile for their residents. Everyone knows the residents by name. They are very helpful if any questions or needs. You can visit at any time with no restrictions which to me means 'nothing to hide'.
The genuine care and professional manner to which both my aunt and uncle have received since both became residents has been impeccable. There is a wonderful home feel. A sense of belonging that not only residents are given but the relatives and friends too. Nothing asked is ever responded to as a chore, but with a really supportive and determined person whoever that person is, to help and make things better. This place, the staff, with the best chance of happiness!
Totally dissatisfied experience. On attendance to the home all things were good. Once arrived inside the home we experienced a resident defecating in my uncle's room. No staff were about and we had to raise concerns with the carers who finally appeared some minutes later. Human excrement was smeared all over the entrance to 22, the room my uncle is in and the resident was covered in excrement. Not a good experience. My uncle's personal space and dignity were breached and insulted, and it left us very unhappy.
My friend is very comfortable in this care home. She tells me how helpful three particular members of staff are. She loves the food especially the sausage baps. Reception staff always give visitors a really good welcome and are very happy to talk a little before you leave. Fantastic!
All of the staff we met when we came to sort out the resident's belonging after he sadly passed away were so supportive and helpful. They make a very difficult task easier to manage especially the reception staff. It was very clear that all of the staff knew him well, and had really cared for him. Certainly in conversation he was always very complimentary about everyone who helped care for him.
My father was incredibly well looked after during his time at Edgbaston Manor and upon his passing the staff have been outstanding, showing the utmost care and empathy with the situation. I am very grateful for the support that the staff have given to me whilst sorting out his affairs and belongings, they have made the process as painless as possible and been so understanding. The receptionists that have greeted me have been very welcoming and made sure that all my needs were catered for. I would definitely recommend Edgbaston manor to anyone looking for a residential home, you'll be in great hands.
Thanks to you all.
My sister-in-law and I visited this care home as we were looking for a care home for our brother, we had three care homes to view that day and Edgbaston Manor was the first, upon entering we were made to feel very welcome by the receptionists, then the lady that showed us around was very helpful and friendly, the whole atmosphere of the place felt really good and we decided there and then that this was the place we wanted for our brother and we didn't bother viewing the other care homes.
My friend has been helped by the staff to accept the move into full-time care. The building is well-kept, clean and well-appointed. All the staff are helpful cheerful and eager to help residents and visitors. The food looks appetising and there is a good choice with an opportunity for special requests.
Moving to a new place can be a challenging experience, but thanks to your dedicated and compassionate team, my dear friend is settling in. The welcome we receive on arrival from the receptionists sets the whole tone for the Manor. Warm, friendly and an exemplar of customer service. It is a great comfort to know my friend is being cared for so well, and that my visiting experiences are so pleasurable. Thank you to the team.
This home has put care into a care home. It is its priority for both patients and visitors what a fantastic place - keep it up.
Just admitted my father's cousin to Edgbaston Manor this week and I'm absolutely thrilled with the reception, care, accommodation and overall facilities and particularly the lovely staff in every part of the home.
My sister now living at Edgbaston Manor wanted to throw a party to thank friends for their kind support following her stroke in April. Edgbaston Manor staff stepped up to this very well. Before the day the Chef and the team worked thoughtfully with my sister to find her preferences for the menu and setting. An attractive menu was created, with care taken over dietary requirements for the 20 guests. They even offered a backup system to play the exact music that my sister wanted. On the day, the Receptionist made all her guests feel welcome. My sister's carer had come in on one of her days off to help her get ready to enjoy the event, which was much appreciated. Edgbaston Manor benefits from a delightful rooftop terrace and adjoining lounge, which provides a relaxing and spacious venue. The quality of the food was, as always there, first-class. The party was a great success and gave great pleasure to us all. An excellent event thanks in great part to the staff.
