View Full Details of Hallmark Anya CourtMy dad was a resident of Ballard (dementia) community for five months at Anya Court in rugby before falling ill and passing away. During his stay at the home, he was very happy and comfortable there. The staff are lovely, caring and very attentive to everybody's needs, including visitors. They had a lot of activities on every day, were cheerful and the care provided was to an extremely high standard to the residents and any visitors. I cannot fault this home and thank them very much for everything they did to support us and my dad whilst he was in their care. Thank you all at Anya Court.
What a fantastic place, the staff have been amazing throughout our Mother's stay there we have all been made to feel so welcome. The standard of care and attention to the small things has been amazing.
Made the move for my mum very easy for us and Mum. She settled so well and navigated the home well as she has poor vision. She has made friends, the staff are kind and caring towards her and us. Mum loves the food and the choices. Highly recommended.
My aunt has been at Anya Court for 2 months. Both the management and staff have done an incredible job of getting her settled in. We are happy in the knowledge that she is extremely well looked after and cared for. We visit regularly and the fact that everyone we meet, whether staff or residents are happy speaks volumes. The juke box cafe is a fabulous place for residents and visitors to meet. It has a great vibe and a good cup of coffee.
We must express our deepest gratitude to Anya Court and the incredible team there for the compassionate, attentive care they provided for our father. As he journeyed through Alzheimer's, it meant everything to us to know he was in such capable, compassionate hands. He was shown warmth, dignity and love. The team became like a second family, not only for Dad but for all of us. Every time we visited, we were openly welcomed and felt the genuine care you extended to him. Knowing he was surrounded by people who truly cared for him brought us a great sense of relief and peace. Dad enjoyed lots of activities which were frequent and fun, when he could and his time was made very special. In Dad's final days, we were overwhelmed by the support and comfort the team provided. The love and respect you showed him meant so much to us and we can't thank you enough for the dignity and compassion with which you helped us through that difficult time.
After a stay in hospital our Mum (who had dementia) was unable to carry on living at home. We viewed many care homes and Anya Court stood out head and shoulders above the rest. Mum had always been very opposed to moving into a home and this was a difficult decision for us to make. The staff went above and beyond on countless occasions, always with a smile and a lot of patience. Mum quickly formed great relationships with many of the staff and clearly took to them. The way the lead on the dementia community, was across our Mum's medical needs and advocated for her was brilliant and a great weight off our shoulders. The staff encourage independence as much as possible, even when it clearly isn't the easiest option for them. Mum absolutely loved the garden and we were able to spend a lot of time there with her. During her final days, the staff were absolutely incredible in the way that they looked after Mum and also supported us, making a very difficult time a lot more bearable.
I cannot express how wonderful everyone in the Anya Court family has been with my sister and all of our family. You have made a very difficult time in our lives more bearable and taken away some of this strain. You allow us to lose ourselves in our emotions, always ready to lend an ear or shoulder and to give a much-needed hug. Thank you is not enough to express my gratitude. You are all superheroes to me.
My father recently had an incident at Anya Court care home very late in the evening which resulted in some cuts and bruises to his face and a bleeding eye. I was informed immediately by the Senior Nurse of the accident and was told he was being comforted by the team. The Senior Nurse stayed with my father until I arrived to collect him and take him to the local hospital (thankfully he was given the all-clear immediately) but it needs to be pointed out that the Senior Nurse still stayed with my dad over an hour beyond her shift. This shows the love and care that the team give to the residents, and clearly goes above and beyond when it comes to supporting and caring for the residents. Can not thank the Senior Nurse enough for what she did, and myself and family are very appreciative of all the help and support she gave my father. Once again, thank you!
Anya Court is wonderful but my husband is on a dementia floor. He has had a small stroke but he doesn't have dementia. The carers and staff treat him like a dementia patient. My husband has lost the use of his legs. Due to medical neglect, he is dependent on staff to get him to the toilet, into the wheelchair and monitor his exercises. To open his bowels each day, he is not allowed a bedpan. He has to wait until two attendants with a hoist can get him to the toilet, resulting in him messing himself up nearly every day, it's demeaning. My husband needs conversation and two-way interaction with other males. He needs his dignity back. My husband is very unhappy his personal items have been broken or lost. He is a quiet man and will not make a fuss, but I will. Anya Court looked to be just what the doctor ordered, it falls very short. Please see what can be done to rectify my husband's unhappy plight.
My brother moved into Hallmark Anya Court nearly four weeks ago, having been in a care home (not of our choice) in another area for over seven months. He has settled in really well in such a short time and takes part in many of the activities. This is entirely due to the care and the compassion shown by all the staff. We knew Anya Court would provide everything he needed, but the excellent care has gone way beyond our expectations. My brother's progress has been miraculous and we as a family are absolutely delighted.
Very welcoming environment. Guests are very welcome. The lounge areas are very relaxing. The staff are very smiley and full of energy.
My experience has overall been good however there are some changes that could escalate your rating to excellent which I believe can be achieved with little cost to yourselves I have made the suggestions below, staff have been wonderful and knowledgeable, no complaints. Fans in the rooms were safe it’s too hot. Sheets that fit the bed sleeping on a plastic mattress is not nice! Cotton bedding would help with the temperature as well. Hot food cold soup is not appealing and more vegetable choices should be available the menu only has one choice despite main. Instructions on an actual menu that any requests for different dinners should be made to staff at lunchtime. Staff available to take residents to the bathroom it’s not pleasant hearing people distressed waiting for what is a basic need although I appreciate it’s difficult to meet demands at busy times, but this is a Care Home, not a hotel.
From the very first telephone contact, through the assessment and moving-in process, to the current day with my mum as a resident, every member of staff I have encountered at Anya Court has been friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble and you feel a welcome part of the community each time you visit. I especially like the way my mum is enabled to make her own decisions to retain her independence for as long as possible. As a relative of an elderly person living with Dementia, it's such a relief to know that she is being well looked after, that her medication is being monitored and that she is settled and content. It feels like a home away from home. Also, I really can't thank everyone enough for the kindness and consideration they have shown us all after my stepfather passed away recently. It just reinforces the fact that we made the right decision for my mum to move to Anya Court.
I like this care home as my grandad always smiles when I visit him. Everyone is friendly and they care lots for my grandad's needs. Nothing is too much and they are always there to help if we need. Thank you for allowing us to celebrate Christmas with my grandad.
I am so happy that my father is at Anya Court; he is taken care of so much, and everyone who works at Anya is kind and hardworking and looks after all the residents so well. There just couldn't be a better place for my dad to be in.
My first visit alone and I was warmly welcomed at reception and helped with code to enable access. With humour, I was reminded twice of this code! My friend, the resident, is very comfortable and a carer was with her and treated her with gentle respect. We shared a drink in the coffee room on the first floor which was warm and easy to access. I was leaving about 30 minutes later and was unable to get a response to help me return my friend to her room but managed to do this myself. I’m aware that it was a busy time (almost lunchtime) so understand that immediate response may have been difficult. I wondered whether an intercom was available and suggest it may be a useful tool to enable communication in this sort of time.
My mother wouldn't be alive without Anya Court! They picked up something was wrong really quickly and called an ambulance. They kept in touch as she fought for her life, giving us support. Mum was welcomed back like a valued family member, they have made her and us feel loved and cherished, providing all the support she needs whilst maintaining her dignity. Thank goodness we chose them!
We are very pleased with the care provided to my father-in-law. The staff are very hard-working, kind and considerate and nothing is too much trouble. The facilities are excellent and there is a lovely, family atmosphere.
Anya Court Care Home is an excellent care home and from the moment Dad walked through the doors into reception, he felt at home. Right from the amazing reception team, the admin team and the carers, we knew Dad would be happy. He couldn’t have picked a nicer place. He is looked after extremely well. The carers have a wonderful bond with him and he is always happy. There are plenty of activities going on which Dad often attends and he enjoys visiting the garden. The team on Ballard are amazing and hardworking and very welcoming to all the families visiting. We would highly recommend Anya Care Home.
Anya Court does not feel like a care home at all. We enjoy visiting my dad and spending time with him in the garden and cafe. The staff are wonderful and my dad is very happy here.
