View Full Details of Charters Court Care HomeMy wife went to Charter Court for four weeks respite and I cannot praise the home highly enough. I was really pleased with every aspect of her care, the accommodation, how clean everything was and how they attended to all her requirements. She was extremely happy with the quality and quantity of the food - my only issue is that I'm expected to reach that standard now she is home.
In my experience Charters Court Care Home RH19 2GW is on of the best bhomes in this area. The staff are always very pleasant and helpful. The Activities group are excellent and very devoted to the residents and put a lot of effort into what they do. The home is very well run. The Reception staff are always very helpful and pleasant.
I am very pleased with the care that my that my husband is receiving at Charters Court Care Home. Praise is due to all the staff who are always cheerful. helpful and caring.
The care my mother is getting here is second to none. The staff are so loving, caring and always helpful. I'm always welcomed with a smile and my mother is so well cared for. We are very lucky to have such an amazing team of people looking after our loved ones.
My husband was admitted to Charters Court care home in September 2023, he has Alzheimer's. As a family, it was a very difficult decision to make, but we know he is being cared for so well. The staff are so kind and friendly and we are so grateful to them. I must really mention the amazing Wellbeing team who organise wonderful activities for the residents, organising regular musicians, singers, magicians and even small animals that visit, and also the residents are taken on outings in the mini-bus to garden centres etc, this gives so much pleasure. This year my husband and I celebrated our Diamond wedding anniversary (60 years) and after mentioning this, my husband's room was decorated with balloons etc and we had a lovely cake that we were able to cut together, which meant so much. The food is of a very high standard and cleanliness is excellent. As a family we are so pleased that my husband is at Charters Court, we know that he is safe and sound.
I was very concerned when mum went into a home. Charters Court Care Home is mum's home now and she is much happier. Everyone is so lovely, she always seems to be doing one activity or another. I was able to join mum in the zumba class, we had such a good time bumping into each other.
My mother has Alzheimer's and has been living at Charters Court Care Home for almost 6 years now. I cannot express enough my gratitude to the staff and managers at Charters. Their care for my mother is second to none. Mum feels safe and secure. I feel extremely comforted at their level of competence, implementation of standard operating procedures, and regular communication (I live overseas). Additional care is needed for my mother by way of covert medication, assistance with eating/drinking, toileting and now walking. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff at Charters Court. I have personally observed the staff on mum's ward to be very kind and caring. I have known the deputy manager (current acting manager) for several years now. She is dedicated, experienced, kind and compassionate. This culture flows through to everyone. Choosing somewhere for mum to live was very stressful. I consider us to be very fortunate and privileged that mum resides at Charters Court. Highly recommend.
My father has been a resident for more than 5 years and the other reviews I read about Charters Court seem so very different from my own personal experience. While there have been and remain a few truly amazing staff over the years, our experience with management is that they are anything but kind and caring. The care my father has received has fallen short on multiple occasions, but recently it has deteriorated significantly. With the on site managerial role open now for several weeks, it seems that processes are slipping. As a very recent example, my father was left in his room, on his own for Christmas Day, while other residents were treated to an enjoyable lunch, he was left in his bed - he is wheelchair bound and non verbal. Imagine our distress to learn this is how our Father spent his Christmas day! I cannot therefore, in good conscience recommend this home.
My mum couldn't wait to move in! The staff were all lovely and looked after her so well. As a family, we knew that she was safe and was lovingly cared for.
Staff can't do enough for my parents. They are so respectful to all residents.
My mother has late onset dementia. She has lived in the care home for two years now. She has received loving care since the day she arrived. She feels safe which is a great help for me and my family. Mum now needs help with eating and this is done with care, calmly and with patience. All the staff are very friendly from the receptionists to the nurses. My father was also very pleased to see how settled mum is and he often commented about the exceptional care mum received. My father lived nearby and visited mum every day until he died earlier this year. When visiting, I am always made to feel welcome and I do appreciate my cup of tea.
My father in law had the best care and attention that I could have wished for during the 16 months that he resided on Willow Suite. Every single member of the staff were wonderful and really cared about him and his well-being. I seriously can't thank them all enough or praise them more for their genuine concern and desire for his best interest. Your patience and care was so much appreciated. Thank you all
Charters Court has so many qualities that other care homes lack. Management runs a solid team of staff which makes the home run efficiently. Staff take into account the residents needs and do their best to make them feel cared for and at home. The reception staff are always smiling, very friendly and approachable. The food is first class, running a 3 course menu plus the staff adapt to the residents needs where necessary. The rooms and communal areas are spotless and bright with great furnishings. Such a pleasant environment. There are daily activities for residents to attend or even take the mini bus into town. I can't fault Charters in any way and would highly recommend this care home.
Charters Court has a wonderful homely feel. The staff are kind and caring and very knowledgeable. They always keep me informed of any changes. There is a huge range of fun activities constantly taking place and the food is home-cooked and always delicious. The admin and reception team are helpful and the laundry is always clean and fragrant.
The care at Charters Court is excellent, the care staff, nurses, and receptionists are always willing to help. The care given to residents is superb and all my Mum's needs are met.
I can't fault Charters Court in any way at all. The staff are caring and helpful. The food is great and it's always spotless. There are also lots of activities if you want to join in.
My grandad is very happy at Charters Court. The staff are kind and caring and he has a great room. He loves the food especially the fish and chips on Friday! I feel welcome when I visit him and the staff always include me in the conversation.
My mother has been through 3 months of hospital wards and now she is happy and well in Charters Court. She has been extremely well looked after by all the staff. My mother is much healthier now and is coming to terms with the fact of living in a care home. Charters Court is a lovely place and the staff are caring and very good at their job. They are all very nice people. My mother could not be in a better place
My Mother suffers from dementia and has been in the home for 2 years. The staff is extremely kind and caring to my Mother. We visit her every day and are always made very welcome. We've been given good advice for caring for her. We are grateful for the help they gave us in arranging liquid food supplements and liquid medicine rather than pills she had difficulty with. There is an excellent and imaginative well-being team and the carers engage with and lift the spirits of residents above and beyond their routine caring. The management is also very responsive in listening to residents and relatives at regular meetings fixing and improving things.
The staff at Charters Court took care of our mother (aged 97) for 7 weeks, from early February to the end of March when she passed away. My sister and I found that everyone from the receptionist on our first visit to view the home, to the suite manager and team who did the day-to-day care were excellent: calm, reassuring, sensitive, friendly but professional. Even the 'backstage' team (admin, maintenance, cleaning, kitchen etc) were lovely whenever we met them. We felt 100% confident that the staff were experienced, courteous and above all caring in their dealings with our mother in her failing last few weeks. And they were very welcoming and accommodating to us and others who visited. And very supportive and sympathetic to us all (including 2 brothers on video call from the US and Canada) as we spent much of the last 24 hours with Mum. Many, many thanks to everyone at Charters Court!
