View Full Details of Chapel House Care & Nursing HomeOne staff member and all the staff at Chapel House have been so welcoming of my sister who needed to move due to changing needs. The room is delightful. The food is wonderful and appetising. I haven't yet seen a member of staff not smiling. My sister settled in almost immediately. We are hoping a plan to get my sister more mobile will prove successful.
Not updated with staff changes and turnover seems to have been high in last few months, also admin and management change which I was unaware off. General care is good, dad seems comfortable, sometimes small things seem to be missed but that maybe down to dad being awkward on occasions.
My father was admitted into the care of Chapel House Care & Nursing Home on the 1st August 2024. From the first day, the atmosphere was warm and homely which gave you a feeling of safety. My father was given 24/7 care by people who genuinely loved what they were doing. Nothing was too much trouble and dad never lacked for company. It put the family at ease to know that he was being so well cared for. You couldn't single any one person out as they all worked as a team. The home was cleaned everyday, the laundry usually came back within the day and the variety and quality of meals were first rate. The medical team were always around if you needed to discuss anything or were concerned. Everyone in the home, including the office team worked together to make dads stay as enjoyable as could be expected. Sadly, dad passed away three weeks ago and the care and dignity shown to him can never be repaid by the family. The team were totally respectful and caring to him and to his family. I cannot praise them enough.
My husband is in your care home. Usually, we are very pleased with the care provided but recently it has not been that way. I quite often put him on the toilet as it can take up to half an hour before anyone comes to his call button. The meals are satisfying but often does not look very nice as the food is all the same colour and pushed upon each other and does not smell very nice. I cut food up for him when I am there, as no one offers to cut it up. He also does not get showered as often as I feel he should be, once a week for him is not really acceptable. It could be they are taking on new staff and training them. It is only this past few months it has been like this, but there is three staff that are excellent in their work. It is very clean and the laundry is very well done.
Everyone I had contact with when my father was at Chapel Care and Nursing Home were excellent. My father was not an easy patient to look after but all the staff handled him very well and with care and understanding right till the end. If you are looking for a care home, then I highly recommend you look here.
I am very very pleased to have had my wife placed in such a pleasant nursing home with caring staff on all levels, from management right down to cleaners. I would highly recommend Chapel House to anyone looking for a safe place in pleasant surroundings for a loved one.
As my husband has only been in the care home for just over 3 weeks, my review is I am very pleased with the attention my husband is getting. I hope in the future they will try and get my husband out of the bed into a chair and maybe meet other residents. Can't respond to activities as my husband is bedridden.
This was a very hard and personal transition for both my husband and I. The worry and anxiety were quickly diluted by the warm and caring nature of the manager, reception greeting and all the caring staff. My husband has settled well. The meals are so appetising, and nothing is too much trouble. After each visit, I leave knowing he is safe and happy.
All the staff at Chapel House were incredibly kind to my mum in her last few months. She had very good care 24/7 and it was very reassuring for me knowing she was safe and secure.
I am very grateful to all the staff at Chapel House for their attention to my father. They made his last few months as comfortable as possible, acting kindly and professionally at every stage. They also supported me - always willing to answer questions and provide help and information. Requests we made were listened to and fulfilled where possible.
We, as a family, were very happy with Mum's excellent care at Chapple House Care Centre. From the moment Mum arrived until the day she left, she was treated with every respect of the best care. The staff were kind, thoughtful, caring and made sure Mym was happy and safe. We were kept informed at every stage of assessment and helped through things we didn't understand. We are very grateful to all the staff for making Mum's stay a good and caring experience. Many thanks.
We are very pleased with the care that our mum is receiving. The staff treat the residents with care and dignity. They listen to us and ask us to take in things that she needs. With their help, she is not "bed-bound" but sits out in the lounge and is taking a few assisted steps, knowing the staff give her the opportunities to join in appropriate recreational activities downstairs. Mum is happy and well cared for, and we are happy.
The care my father received at Chapel House Care Centre was top-rate. All the staff from carers, ancillary staff through to management were always friendly, polite, helpful and, above all, caring. My father settled really quickly and it soon felt like home, not only to him but to us too.
Chapel House Care Centre looked after Mum with professionalism and care. The staff were great across the board, from housekeeping to nursing and management. The team were always vigilant and dealt with any potential infections or illness with care and speed. Mum had been very independent and did not want to leave her home but it came to a point where she could not stay at home. Chapel House Care Centre looked after Mum as well as she would allow them to. I would like to that the team at Chapel House Care Centre for their care, kindness and professionalism.
Well-run nursing home. Skilled and caring staff. High standards throughout. Friendly, helpful and professional.
My Dad sadly had just three months at Chapel House, but it was so welcome after six tough months in lockdown hospital care. It was a such a comfort to me to know he was in the best of care, and it clearly showed in how he was in himself. I really looked forward to every visit, even with Covid restrictions and was hoping to many, many more visits. His room was great with his favourite pictures and photos out for him. All of the staff were so kind and very helpful at all times, and I will miss them. Chapel House was recommended to me, and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to others.
Can't thank everyone at Chapel House Care Centre enough for their tender care of my dad during his last three months and their support of his family at his passing. Dad was treated with dignity and respect by all. Dad's room was lovely. Spotless, nicely furnished. A home from home.
My dear Mum spent the last 5 weeks of her life at Chapel House Care Centre and I couldn’t have asked for better care by lovely staff. Mum said that all the staff were very kind and they were very helpful and caring towards me and my family.
I have only praise for the compassionate care provided by Chapel House, first for my mother in her final month with Alzheimer's four years ago, then for my father in the final days of his illness this month. My father told me of the excellent care that Chapel House provided to my mother, which led him to seek admission himself after his diagnosis of terminal cancer. He told me of the reassurance that he received in long conversations with the staff. The experience in Chapel House made his final days much easier to bear.
Visiting my friend in Chapel House is a very happy experience. Phone calls were encouraged when visiting because of restrictions wasn't possible. My friend is always pleased to see me and always seems very happy. Her words are 'everyone is kind to me here, I am well looked after and the food is always lovely'. She always looks well and happy.
