View Full Details of Lydia Eva CourtMy auntie has been in the Lydia Eva Court since early January, she has settled in well and is very comfortable. The staff at Lydia Eva are fantastic and this is to include all staff front of house and behind the scenes backstage, they are all brilliant caring and full of compassion. They take pride in everything they do for the residents and visiting friends and family. All the rooms are fantastic large and very well kept and clean, the communal areas for gatherings and activities are very good with regular daily activities which the residents take part in. The food is excellent with different choices available. We have supported several of our family members throughout several years in care homes and I must say this is the sixth care we have been associated with and by far the very best. When and if my time comes to needing a residential care home I want to be in the Lydia Eva Court Residential Care Home.
To begin with, my mum found it very hard to settle in and now after 3-4 months of being there, she has settled in a bit more, but not completely. She is receiving exceptionally good care and the staff are exceptionally polite, friendly and very good at their jobs. They are also very helpful too. My mum tends not to join in activities until I visit her when the activities are on. I visit her 3 or 4 times a week along with my dad. Sometimes I visit her on my own. I am hoping in the next 6 months or so, she will start to get more involved, including gardening activities in the summer.
I have my mother-in-law living in Cornfield and find the staff working in Lydia Eva are caring and would go the extra mile to make the service users' lives better. One of the staff took my mother-in-law shopping for clothes in her own time, this allowed my mother-in-law to pick her own clothes, enjoy a cup of tea too. I find the management always listens to me, this helped me through my wife's death last year. Thank you.
From the start of August 2023, my husband has been a resident of Lydia Eva Court. The accommodation from the kitchen staff and meals, to the staff who do the washing, this is all fabulous. The wonderful staff that have been there to look after my husband, to bathe home, dress home and talk to him, these are his angels and mine. He is happy to stay in the home, he is happy to see me and when I go in the afternoon he knows that I will see him again, very soon.
Mum came into Lydia Eva Court at the beginning of October 2024, I must say we are so pleased with everything. There are activities seven days a week for the residents and the staff are totally involved making sure they are well supported. Communications between us and the staff are well implemented, if there are any issues they are followed up very quickly and sorted. The staff have so much care for mum and all the other residents as well. The food is lovely and the cleanliness is 100%. I would highly recommend Lydia Eva Court to anyone.
My mother has very great needs and I am very content that the staff at Lydia Eva Court do all in their power to provide her with assistance. On many occasions, I have watched as they persisted until Mum accepted some drink but always kindly and with good intentions. The move from another care home was a severe shock to Mum's system and the responsibility for that lies with them, not Lydia Eva Court.
Following our mother falling and breaking her hip, we needed urgent respite care for our father. We contacted Lydia Eva Court on a Wednesday morning at the end of August and they couldn't have been more helpful. They jumped straight on to getting a room ready for him to go into that evening, which was such a massive relief. The care he received was fantastic. They sorted all his medication and daily needs. The food provided is of an exceptional standard all day. The room was very comfortable and gardens lovely to walk around. We were very impressed and so pleased they could help us at such short notice. We'd have no hesitation in using them again or recommending them. A huge THANK YOU to everyone who looked after our dad.
The kindness and care given to my late mother-in-law by the staff at Lydia Eva during her 4 years there was amazing and will be remembered forever. We cannot thank you enough. The staff always made us feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them. At times they were stretched but they carried on and never failed to be anything other than patient and kind.
My wife moved into the Lydia Eve Court in May 2024 on a full-time basis and has been made to feel welcome. The premises are very spacious, light and airy with good and easy access throughout. My wife immediately took to the staff who are caring, attentive and respectful of her needs. She enjoys her stay and always tells me she is happy, warm, comfortable and well-fed. Minor problems have quickly been resolved by the staff and I feel that my wife is being well cared for.
What a lovely party to celebrate your 10th anniversary. I'm sure a lot of hard work and planning went into making this a special occasion. It was a joy to see the residents enjoying themselves with those that could up and dancing. So a big thank you to all the hardworking carers, activity girls, management and those who work behind the scenes and probably don't realise how much we appreciate you. Last but not least the fabulous singers, isn't it great how everyone lets their hair down to Sweet Caroline. You are all stars thank you.
I would like to thank Lydia Eva Court for the constant care and love they show my mum. All the staff are amazing, having a Mum with dementia is heartbreaking and the only peace we have as a family is that she is in Lydia Eva Court. I would not have found anywhere better! From the staff to the daily activities and the genuine love the girls show my mum. A big fat thank you!
My nanny is in this home, and they’ve been nothing but brilliant with her, she isn’t used to being apart from her husband who sadly passed a short while after she arrived in the home, they’ve supported her and they’ve also been a great support for us as a family too, she is very happy with all staff in the unit she’s on, as are we as a family, we are very happy knowing that she’s being taken care off in a safe and comfortable environment for her!
Lovely care home. Staff have been amazing, so kind and caring and can't do enough for my mother. All areas are clean and tidy. Lots of activities. Nothing is ever too much for the staff. As a family, we have felt fully supported. Food is always hot and fresh and a lot of selection. My mother's room is lovely, bright, spacious and extremely clean. Fully secure home. Overall, a fantastic home that I would highly recommend.
The staff provide excellent care. I was kept well informed at all times of my aunt's progress and of any incidents. The medical practice who visit the home were very responsive to medical requests from Lydia Eva and also kept me informed as necessary. It is a very comfortable, clean place and the catering is excellent. I was content in the knowledge that my aunt was well looked after.
Sadly I have now lost my Mother but while in residence, there were many issues with her care with very little support from Management. They seemed to be unwilling to face problems as they arrived, their way of dealing with a problem was to not believe the families and simply to cover up the downfalls of incompetent staff, dealing with the Head Office was exactly the same, all in denial of bad care. My Mother was totally reliant on the care, she couldn't eat/drink on her own and had to be assisted, she was left most of the time waiting for staff to assist her and many times food was cold and rushed causing fears of her choking. She was moved around the bed many times like a sack of potatoes, which was a concern with her massive weight loss, she was left one day 14 hours without a drink which led to the family ending up taking over assisting her. I do not recommend placing a loved one in this home, it's stressful enough to have a loved one in a home let alone the concerns of the Care.
Arrived to be met immediately by the lead carer with a smile, who told me Dad was having his personal care needs met in his private bathroom. The carer was speaking to Dad very kindly, and it was nice to hear Dad laughing and joking with them. He was soon dressed and comfortable again, coming out with a big smile and very calm, immaculate and obviously happy with his carers. He was then offered a warm drink. Unfortunately, Dad needed changing again shortly afterwards; it was absolutely no problem when I asked the carer to assist him, and she came straight to the room and once again changed Dad and ensured he was comfortable. I am not allowed to mention names here, but can't praise this lady enough.
Visited my dad at the home and was very impressed with everything. All the staff were amazing, and the home was lovely. My dad is well looked after and is happy there. The food is lovely, and there are activities if he wants to join in too. Thank you.
I cannot begin to say how happy I am with the level of care being given to my mother at Lydia Eva Court. She is 110% looked after better than I could have imagined. Staff are wonderful with her and go out of their way to help her with whatever she needs, they are also very welcoming to myself when I visit and constantly keep me informed of everything connected with Mum. Mum has settled in lovely and has company from other residents when she wants and takes part in the various activities available daily. The food for her meals is wonderful and plenty of it too. In my opinion she really is in the best care home.
Thanks to the wonderful team who took such great care of my mum, while in respite. The staff were amazing, thanks to the lady, who cut and permed my mum's hair (she looked amazing). Mum's looking forward to her stay in August, thanks to the manager who was very supportive, five stars plus from me. Many thanks, team Lydia Eva Court.
My husband has been very well cared for at Lydia Eva Court. The staff are very caring and keep him safe and happy. It was recommended to me when he developed Alzheimer's and we had to wait for a vacancy. Well worth the wait. We are always made welcome on visits which give me peace of mind. Thank you all.
