View Full Details of The Davers ClubMy father attends the care centre twice a week. The staff are fantastic, if Dad is running late or not 100% they always contact me. They have given me so much help and advice on how to ensure that my dad gets the best care and fulfilment from life. I would highly recommend Davers Court.
My wife, who has dementia, attends the day centre for three days a week. I have been impressed with the way the centre staff 'embraced' her, welcoming her by name and settling her down. The range of activities is wide and varied, providing a stimulating environment. She clearly enjoys her time at the centre and is encouraged to fully participate. From my perspective, I am happy leaving my wife at the centre, knowing she is well looked after.
Mum was concerned about going the first time but when it was time to go the next time she didn't say she didn't want to go! Mum settled so quickly and asks about going every day. Such kind and caring and supportive staff makes her day pass happily, along with the company of others and so many activities in such wonderful surroundings, there isn't anywhere better for mum to be left while I have a break myself.
My mother-in-law has been attending daycare 3 days a week for the last 5 months. It has been a godsend to us. We know she is safe and being well cared for. The staff are friendly and caring and go out of their way to make her welcome. They provide a nutritional lunch and activities. I cannot recommend them enough.
My dad has dementia and attends the daycare centre twice weekly for respite for mum. I can not praise the staff enough for their kindness, support and compassion. They are empathetic, respectful and sensitive to their clients' needs. The environment is homely, friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend this daycare centre. Dad smiles every time he is there. Well done ladies.
I have only recently discovered The Davers Club day centre, mum has been on 4 occasions, and when I pick her up she's always very happy and tells me that she's enjoyed every minute. The staff are extremely caring and considerate and even treated mum to a birthday cake and gift last week. Cannot recommend highly enough.
My husband has attended Davers Club, or his lunch club as he calls it, for nearly a year. The care he has received is outstanding and he looks forward to going. The staff are professional and caring and know everyone by name, going out of their way to provide individual attention as needed. I don't know what I would have done without them over the last six weeks, whilst my husband had been going through a bad patch. I have been able to get some respite, certain that he was being cared for with respect and compassion.
My husband attends the day centre, the staff are all very kind and friendly, the times are to suit, and there are many different activities, along with a three-course lunch. They also have musical afternoons, which they all seem to really enjoy.
Very welcoming and caring, The Savers Club provides a perfect environment for my elderly mother to enjoy a day out from her home. Providing her with interaction with others and involvement with a wide range of activities. It also means I can have complete peace of mind, knowing she is being well looked after and enabling me to get on with other things.
Mum attended the daycare at Davers Court once a week to give my stepfather some well-needed respite. Mum has vascular dementia and my stepfather was her full-time carer. It was often difficult to get her out of the house but as soon as I got her there and to the main door, she was greeted by name and as a well-known friend. She absolutely loved her time there and barely said goodbye to me as I left. She enjoyed stimulating activities throughout the day, such as cooking, painting, carpet bowls, quizzes and walks around the lovely garden. There was plenty of tea and coffee throughout the day. (Mum is a real coffee addict) and a nutritious, tasty three-course lunch. Mum was always smiling and relaxed when I picked her up in the afternoon. Staff showed a natural empathy and professionalism with all clients present. I would like to say a huge thank you.
I am very happy with Davers Court Daycare and know that my mother is happy to be left there. She always comes home happy, saying she has enjoyed herself and how much she likes the staff. I am constantly amazed at the variety of activities the staff put on for the users. I feel it is doing my mother a power of good as it gets her out of the house and meeting other people and it helps me and my sisters as we are safe in the knowledge that she will be looked after.
The Davers Care Day Centre came with a recommendation from a friend and we also used the facility when my late mother-in-law needed respite care following a stay in hospital. All the staff are extremely welcoming. On our first visit we stayed for lunch and on arrival had a cup of tea and joined in the organised activity with the other users. My mother, who was diagnosed with vascular dementia earlier this year, visits the centre twice a week and will always come home having had a really stimulating and enjoyable visit, unfortunately with her dementia she often forgets what she has done, but we know she has really enjoyed herself and been able to interact with all the staff and other carers. The centre has a very full activity list throughout December which is wonderful and I am sure my mother will continue to enjoy her time. We too feel confident that she is in a safe and caring environment and getting the most out of her time with you. Wonderful place, with wonderful staff thank you
My mum looks forward to attending the Davers club. She says the staff are very kind and helpful. Each week there are different activities available. Mum has enjoyed cooking, flower arranging, singing and exercising. She also enjoys home-cooked meals with other clients. The atmosphere is always warm and friendly. A happy place.
We were delighted to hear The Davers Day Club had started up again after lockdown. The team bring variety, laughter and kindness to our mum's visits each week. We have firmly marked all the festive activities in her calendar as something to really look forward to. Would highly recommend.
We love using Davers Court Day Care. The staff are so caring, friendly and welcoming. We always try and attend any events that they hold in connection with the home, and they are always very enjoyable. Dad calls Davers Court his home from home. I am satisfied to leave him there as I know he will always be taken good care of.
