View Full Details of Sandiacre Court Care CentreWhilst in my short stay in the home, I have met a lot of lovely residents with whom I chat a lot with and would like to keep in touch. I would definitely come back here to stay. Staff are friendly and kind. The home is spotless and my room is first class. My short stay here has been a memorable, great experience.
Being here is very comfortable and I am quite happy and contented. The staff are lovely and cannot do enough for us all. Care is the most important word here. The carers are or must have been handpicked. We have a manager who seems to care too, she is around to make sure we are okay. We all have a lovely TV and a comfortable bed. What could we wish for any more than what we have? Oh! We have our own ensuite.
The emotions we experienced as a family when knowing we needed a nursing home for our mother were daunting, scary and overwhelming. When we visited Sandiacre Court, the initial interaction with admin staff to the walk-a-round and seeing staff with residents compacted to others we had visited, we felt we had found the place for our loved one. Our mother has resided here for four months, and the dignity she has been awarded in her time of need, as well as the support shown by staff to us her family, has been exemplary. We would highly recommend this care home.
My partner has lived at Sandiacre Court Care Centre for over two years. I visit several times a week. He is very well cared for and has good friends there. They go on outings. The activities are great. The care he receives is outstanding. All staff are attentive caring people. Nothing is too much trouble.
Mum came here in March 2024 from the hospital where her care was absolutely fantastic. The staff were very friendly and caring even when Mum couldn't hear or talk they communicated with flash cards and she didn't want for anything. They also were very caring with family and friends. I will be forever grateful for the outstanding care.
My mother was admitted to Sandiacre Care Home in early May of this year for respite care. The manager and all the staff were really friendly and welcoming and most of all caring from the moment we were there. The home itself was very modern, with light and airy rooms more like a hotel than a home. There seem to be lots of organised activities throughout the day and the residents seem happy and content. Everywhere was clean and tidy. The home itself was quite safe and secure. We would definitely recommend this home to anyone and if we need a home ourselves I hope this one is available!
All the staff, carers, nurses, administration and management treated my father with care, dignity and respect and with a healthy dose of humour. When we would visit Dad we were made to feel like family. We felt like family. Rooms are spacious and clean with beautiful outlooks onto the luscious private grounds.
Management and staff have been very caring and dignity in their care to my husband.
My mum was with these lovely people for almost 2 and a half years until her passing. Originally there for a second bout of respite care, COVID at home (we lived together) caused her stay to be extended. After that Sandiacre Court was closed to people in and out, again due to COVID. Mum stayed on from then as she had settled in. The staff are lovely and very caring so we had no problem with her living there.
My wife was discharged from the hospital with Lewy Body Dementia, needing dementia with nursing. I found there are very few care facilities within 30 minutes of my home that are able to offer dementia with nursing, and the ones I visited could not provide three categories that were important - social, space (to walk) and activities. On my first visit to Sandiacre, I was immediately impressed with the enthusiasm of the relationship manager, and although the home manager was at the point of change, I briefly met both the outgoing and incoming manager, enough to fill me with confidence that the home was well led. It is now almost four months since my wife became a resident at Sandiacre, and I am pleased with her care. Because of her condition, she can be difficult to engage with and struggles with group activities, but the staff do their best to include her and ensure she joins in communal meal times to help her social activity. When I visit, the care staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful. Excellent team.
Totally happy with the care Mum was given over 18 months. I will miss the staff who are totally dedicated. Whenever I went to see Mum I was surrounded by support from reception to all areas. Towards the end of Mum's life, it was like being with family. I will treasure this forever.
Professional, caring, helpful, empathetic staff. Home from home, welcoming. Respect residents and family. Listen to concerns and try to resolve issues if arise and nice atmosphere. Lovely clean place. Happy residents.
Mum recently moved into Sandiacre after a bad experience at another home. Sandiacre staff were so supportive not just of Mum but of us too. They made Mum feel so welcome and safe. The managers, seniors and carers have all spent time with Mum getting to know her and assuring her that she is in good, safe hands now. Mum is already more settled than we have seen her for 3 months. Thank you.
I cannot fault Sandiacre Court in any way whatever. The care and kindness the staff show is faultless. Always treated with respect and dignity. I would not hesitate in recommending Sandiacre Court to anyone. Thanks to all the staff.
My mum moved into the home last October (2022), and I have nothing but amazing things to say about Sandiacre Court Care Centre. Not only is my mum participating in activities now and socialising more, but she is a lot happier in herself; the staff are amazing and so friendly and caring and always have time for her and me as a relative. The home itself is beautiful, and so glad that I moved her to Sandiacre Court from where she was before.
Mom enjoyed her stay very much. The carers are very hard-working and very attentive. She loved the activities. Her room was big and bright, with ensuite facilities. Enjoyed it so much that she asked to go back.
Very pleased with everything from the initial visit on day one. Welcomed and introduced to staff as we did the walk around. The home is well presented, nicely decorated and smelling fresh. My best impression was they have carpets fitted! Mother seems very happy here.
This was my third stay at Sandiacre, and it was like returning home. Many staff had been met before, and the new members were exceptional. I would consider using the home again. Thank you to everyone.
Mum stayed in the Sandiacre residence for a respite whilst a shower room was converted. She thought the staff and management were great. The senior staff was able to put a TV in her room, which she used a lot. When I go away, she will happily go and stay there again. The rooms we were shown on a tour were on the top floor and had apparently been freshly decorated. The room she was put in had a few issues but told that the floor she was on was getting decorated soon. As she was only supposed to stay eight days but stayed thirteen, she was happy enough and had a good relationship with the staff. The only downside I found was when they quoted a price, it did not include the VAT, which made a big difference, and there was also a mix-up with the length of stay, but eventually put right.
Recently visited my elderly relative who has moved to Sandiacre from another home. All I can say is wow, what a difference in her physical/mental condition. She has gone from a lady who sat in a chair with no interaction with anyone apart from the member of staff allocated to her. To somebody who spends her days interacting with other residents, trying crafts and meeting pets bought into the home. She has gone from eating virtually nothing to eating all the food put in front of her. The staff care and understand the needs of each individual resident.
