View Full Details of Mary Rose ManorThe team at the Mary Rose Manor were beyond exceptional with the care they provided to my late Nan. Unfortunately, my Nan was diagnosed with dementia and became very strong-willed at times but the team continued to treat her with dignity, kindness and respect and I as a healthcare professional know how hard this can be at times. Every visit to the manor was always lovely even in recent sad times, the facilities were always clean, staff extremely friendly and all residents were treated with dignity. In my nan's recent last days, she was cared for and the empathy shown to us as a family was incredible I will be forever grateful that she was with the team and the time they took to ensure she was well looked after. Thank you for all you did and continue to do.
My husband was transferred to Mary Rose on the 6th of June and from the first day the staff were amazing with him. Despite his complex needs and initial challenging behaviour, he was treated with care, compassion and dignity. In his last few days, all the carers, nurses and all staff were amazing, looking after both him and myself until he sadly passed away.
This home is amazing. They always offer the best care for the residents. The food is amazing and plentiful. There is always a range of activities happening and during June they included D.DAY which helped residents recall events. The new social media page is wonderful for letting us see what's going on when we are not there, and supporting physical and mental development.
My brother was very fortunate to get a place at Mary Rose Manor a year ago. The whole place is spotlessly clean as are the residents. All the staff from the cleaners and laundry staff to the care assistants, nurses, doctors and management are excellent. There are plenty of staff on who constantly engage with the residents keeping them happy and well cared for. The meals also look amazing and always plenty of food supplied throughout the day. My brother sadly died last month but the palliative care was 2nd to none. The wonderful staff took fantastic care of my nephew and myself as well as my brother. I have so many happy memories of his last year thanks to these brilliant people. A special thank you to the manager who went above and beyond to help my nephew and me throughout the year. I truly believe you will never find another home with such dedication and high standards. Thank you all.
My partner has a severe brain injury and early onset dementia and as she now requires 24/7 one-to-one care, she moved to Mary Rose in August 2023. The manager and her core teams provide a highly professional and genuinely caring level of care. They have enabled her to continue to have quality home visits to see her family and her animals. Losing a loved one to dementia etc. is like a living bereavement and the manager and all of her nursing staff have been amazingly supportive of me, especially as she continues to deteriorate.
When I began looking for Dad's next move to a care home, little did I know that care of the best places was so close to home. I simply can't find any faults or changes I could suggest with how Mary Rose operates. From top to bottom, Mary Rose is just outstanding. From the level of care shown and given to my dad, to the support to me as a son of a resident. I could not have found such an amazing home for Dad and I could not recommend them enough.
The Mary Rose Manor did such an amazing job looking after my dad. The home is very modern and was suitable for all of Dad's needs. All staff were very welcoming and caring and were always there if you needed them. We knew Dad was in safe and capable hands when we weren't there. They would always ring us with any issues or updates. We made some good friends, it was like our second home. A big thank you to all the staff at Mary Rose Manor for all their care and support. We will never forget your kindness.
The care that has been given to my mother is outstanding. She is so happy and most times when I go to see her she has a smile on her face. She is always clean and tidy and the staff are fantastic. If I was asked to give a score of 1-10 for her care, I would give 10 plus.
Always a friendly and welcoming feeling as soon as you enter the home. Husband is happy and relaxed when visited. Nothing negative to say about the home.
My husband is a resident of Mary Rose Manor. He is treated with respect and dignity. The staff are brilliant from the cleaning staff right up to the management. He's very settled and seems happy, his personal care is brilliant and it's lovely to come away and know he's safe and being looked after on a high level. Thank you for caring so well for my husband, it's very much appreciated.
An utterly fantastic home, caring at a new level. Nothing is too much trouble ranging from the housekeeping staff to the most helpful, caring manager, who has her eye on all the residents making sure they are all happy and cared for properly. The Mary Rose Manor really does feel like home.
I cannot recommend Mary Rose Manor enough. They looked after my father right until the end with dignity and care that me and my family are really pleased with. He enjoyed the sing-along events and always wanted to be involved. The Alpaca visit was brilliant. We always noted how the residents were treated with respect and kindness. Well done and thank you.
From day one, the care offered by Mary Rose Manor and the exceptional staff was wonderful. Having transferred my husband from an unsatisfactory placement. I was very worried about how and if he would settle but it was amazing. Mary Rose offers an environment that is happy, loving, caring and like a family. Relatives are welcomed and included. I wish I had moved him there earlier!
The staff are friendly and caring. The manager obviously cares very much about the welfare of the residents. She has always been receptive to queries and is helpful and very professional. The home itself is well-maintained and always clean whenever I visit.
Mum entered the care home after a substantial stay in hospital. She'd spent a year already in another care home and we had seen quite a deterioration with her. She had become quite isolated as she wouldn't get up and wouldn't join in most of the activities. We put it down to the Alzheimer's/dementia so weren't expecting the amazing change in her in such a short time. Within 24 hours she had been showered (hospitals don't do hair washing), smartly dressed, and was sitting in the day room looking out into the lovely garden. She has been in the day room every time we have visited, a feat in itself. A couple of times I have been close to tears watching her take part in activities she hasn't done for years. She can be negative about taking part but the staff are quietly and kindly persistent. The thing I like best though is how proactive the staff are. They are always looking to see who needs attention, which staff suits which patients. They and the management are amazing.
My wife spent just over seven months at Mary Rose Manor after a hip operation. Already suffering with advanced Alzheimer's requiring 1 to 1 supervision the staff made her very welcome from the beginning, so that on 'good' days they were friends rather than carers and nurses. Travelling to make visits presented a problem but I am so glad that I did not persevere with the idea of finding a nursing home closer to home because Mary Rose Manor is so good in so many ways reflected in the stars given, managed by an excellent manager at the top. So, many thanks to all concerned with the care and attention given to my wife up to the end.
Such an amazing care home! Visitors made to feel very welcome and included. Residents treated with the utmost care, compassion and dignity. Everything is focussed on the resident being made to feel completely at home with only their best interests at heart. An amazing team of carers and management with a focus on working as a team for the total benefit of each and every resident treated as an individual. Cannot stress enough how absolutely fantastic this care home is. Thank you.
Mary Rose Manor is an excellent home. Care and support is amazing, second to none! Everyone is treated with such dignity. Every member of staff is friendly and caring. All the rooms are clean, tidy and modern. All meals are so delicious and very high standard. On the King's coronation, every effort was made to make this a special celebration. the buffet was for all residents, family and friends. Everywhere was decorated beautifully. Tea and coffee were always offered when we visited. End-of-life care. Refreshments were supplied. All help and support was given to help us through this sad and difficult time. I would like to say a big thank you to everyone at Mary Rose Manor for their amazing care and support. Such a wonderful home.
This care home has provided my wife with the best care and attention I could possibly imagine during her residency there. Each day they exceeded my expectations. It is friendly and welcoming each and every day and nothing is too much trouble for them. All the staff are very kind and caring professional individuals and work together as a complete team to provide the most fantastic atmosphere. All the support staff do a splendid job and take time to talk to the residents. This situation is generated by the professional management that is in place. I can not speak highly enough of this home or the staff and would recommend it to anyone looking for a placement. It is definitely head and shoulders above anywhere in my opinion. Thank you so very much for caring for my wife and giving me fond memories of our stay with you.
On discharge from the hospital, my wife went to Mary Rose Manor for assessment. From the outset, the staff could not have been more caring or efficient. They sorted the hospital's inefficiencies and made a great effort to make her comfortable and welcome. All the staff - carers, nurses, laundry, cooking, maintenance and managers have been outstanding. Managers were readily available and the support staff in the office have helped with wifi and other admin stuff. Parking on-site is good to allow easy visiting.
