View Full Details of Friends of the Elderly Kidderminster Day CareVery friendly staff. They looked after my mom to the highest of standards. Mom had all her needs met with she attended her session. Very professional and empathetic to all service users and their family members. Lovely bunch of angels who do an amazing job. "Keep up the good work ladies"
My husband has been attending the day centre for nearly 12 months. The care he receives is excellent. The staff are warm and friendly and treat him and other service users with the upmost respect and dignity. I can't thank and praise them enough for the work they do.
"Dementia" - the loneliest, unsupported disease overlooked by an allegedly civilised country. We found F of the Elderly at Kidderminster 12 months ago. Our taster session - sufferer walked in and immediately even with severe mixed Alzheimer's settled in. Without a doubt I was comfortable he'd found his second home. He was happy and I was not least relieved to find respite. We have never looked back and happy in the knowledge he is safe, fed, watered and looks forward to his visit.
It is so nice and refreshing to drop my friend of at this day centre. The staff are all so kind and caring and my friend who has Dementia looks forward to going. They make me feel included as well and I always get a run down of the daily activities she has engaged in. I would highly recommend this day centre and the attentive staff. How lovely for the people of Kidderminster to have this on their doorstep.
The staff here are really nice, patient and kind. The facilities are very clean, conveniently located and functional. The activities they offer are very engaging and realistic to the person using this service. They always provide feedback on how the day has gone and they are always very understanding. They always go above and beyond for the client. I have had clients who had used different services over the years and this one is an exceptional day service, which I would highly recommend.
We are always confident Dad will be looked after in a caring and professional manner. There is a great sense of fun between the staff and the clients which makes it an enjoyable experience for both clients and carers. The activities provided offer stimulation to the clients and I have personally witnessed my dad's involvement. Staff monitor clients during the day reporting back any concerns to the camera in respect of behaviour comma eating concerns and health issues full stop we feel that staff always go the extra mile.
I have found the staff very helpful and understanding of my husband's deteriorating health condition; they have always been supportive of my own health needs. They have always been cheerful and provided a variety of entertainment for the residents. My husband has always appeared settled during his time there and enjoys the entertainment and food provided. This period has given me a little more time before he needs full-time care.
The staff are always happy and cheery with service users as well as with those who bring them. I feel that the best testament to service that can be given is that my wife couldn't wait to go and was always happy and smiling on arrival there.
When my husband went to the Friends of the Elderly in Kidderminster, he was met with smiles and kind greetings and this has continued daily. He is looked after by a caring, committed team of staff. This gives his wife time to herself to do jobs that need doing without any worry about him.
My husband has been attending the care centre for the last four years. He loves it and the staff. They have plenty of activities. They are kind, and caring and treat him with dignity. I would definitely recommend this daycare centre.
Great team at Friends of the Elderly Kidderminster. My mum is 90 with dementia and loves it there. When we arrive on Tuesday mornings, they treat her like their own mother. Lots of love but, just as importantly, dignity.
My mum used this service before going into a care home. I found the staff wonderful with both myself and the care of my mum. My mum loved coming here and looked forward to her daycare which she didn't see as care but rather a social club. It was a sad day when I could no longer use the service for mum and myself. Would recommend to anyone who is struggling to find somewhere where their loved ones enjoy daily life and feel protected and safe.
I find the overall care given to the elderly using the day care is second to none. The rooms are very clean and welcoming. The food provided is very good. If you want to talk about the care given, it is excellent. I would recommend this service to anybody who needs this service.
My ex-husband has attended Friends of the Elderly regularly since April 17 (after previously attending various other day centres and care homes). It is our opinion that the standards of service and care exceed anything that could be reasonably expected of them, in fact, the service has been "second to none". Staff are consistently friendly, patient and attentive even when tried to the absolute limits (which is very frequent). The centre is very professionally run in my opinion. He loves attending Friends of the Elderly and hopes to continue to do so. (Neither of us has a reason to change this.) As his carer, I have absolute confidence each time I deliver him to the centre that he will be well looked after whatever difficulties may arise on that particular day. Quite a tall order bearing in mind that almost all attendees suffer from dementia.
My mother has been going to Friends of the Elderly for the past 18 months. She settled straight away. She loves to go, they do lots of activities as a group, they have entertainment, lots of different visitors bringing a variety of different items to interact with everyone there. The staff are all very professional, dedicated, committed, caring, thoughtful, considerate and kind people who go above and beyond to care for my mom. She is extremely happy there and always safe.
My husband attended two days a week for two years and loved every minute of his time there. There was a happy caring atmosphere and clients and visitors were always made welcome. There were varied activities, singing, quizzes and other activities. The food was very good and I can genuinely recommend Kidderminster Day Care in every respect.
