View Full Details of Rose Lodge Care HomeI always have a wonderful experience at this care home. The staff are exceptionally nice and friendly, creating a warm atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. The home is impeccably clean, reflecting a commitment to maintain a comfortable environment. The presence of a multidisciplinary team ensures comprehensive care and support, making of an ideal place for anyone in need of care & support.
A 100% 'can do' attitude from every member of staff. A real gem where, despite what must be incredibly busy behind the scenes, time, care, and kindness are given willingly to everyone - residents and visitors alike.
Mum received quality and professional care from the team at Rose Lodge. She was treated with care and compassion. Mum felt part of the Rose Lodge family and saw the care home as her home. The team also looked after us as a family. I will always be appreciative that Mum was happy and found peace because of her experience.
I've always said I wouldn't send Dad to a care home, but when we couldn't cope anymore we had to. As soon as we walked into Rose Lodge, I felt so at ease. It's a lovely place and staff were great. There was a good variety of food and if you didn't want what was on the menu, they would always offer something else. I can't fault them at all. Dad was happy there.
Our first time in Rose Lodge for respite and it was a revelation. I didn't know what to expect as it was my husband's first time. The management and staff are amazing, so kind and patient. Your catering team produce some delicious meals that would shame some hotels and restaurants, the food was hot and no soggy vegetables! Would certainly recommend it!
A clean and beautifully decorated care home with excellent food. However, its greatest asset is the staff; management and all. As a family, we have been so touched by the care and professionalism of everyone who works at Rose Lodge. They go above and beyond for residents and their families. During Mum's last days, I can't thank them enough for the care and support we were given. Nothing was ever too much.
Have only good things to say about the home. My mother was there for seven years before recently passing. I have had a good relationship with all the staff who treated Mum with kindness and great love. They made her passing less stressful than it could have been.
My mum was in the home for seven years. All the staff treated her at all times with nothing but kindness. Nothing was too much trouble for them. In the last days of her life, they made sure they supported us by bringing us tea and food. Nothing was too much trouble for them. My mum was very happy in Rose Lodge Care Home.
Excellent care for my mum. All staff were friendly, cheerful and caring. My mum had the best of care.
Like many people, I felt guilty placing Mum in a care home, but with two young children and work, I could not look after her myself. She was also uprooted from her home in Yorkshire and lost her husband. It was a very difficult time for all. She was recovering from pneumonia when she went into Rose Lodge, was struggling to feed herself and had poor mobility. The improvement she has made since being at Rose Lodge is truly amazing. It really is down to the fabulous staff. They are so genuinely caring towards the residents. I visited every day for the first few weeks and witnessed first-hand the superb care Mum was receiving. The activity leaders are absolute gems, and it is so wonderful to know that Mum is getting out and about. She enjoys a laugh with the staff and has really come out of her shell. She also loves the routine of going to church. I like the flexibility that I can visit or take Mum out at times that fit with our family life. I would not hesitate to recommend Rose Lodge!
I often pop in to see my husband unannounced, and everybody is very welcoming. All the meals look good. Everywhere is love and clean. I am so pleased I chose Rose Lodge - it's home-from-home.
As a family, we have been made very welcome and the staff are wonderfully helpful and considerate. There is always a friendly face to ask if you need help or advice. The home is well-run, clean and nicely decorated so it does feel homely. The kindness and enthusiasm of the staff is a constant reassurance.
I have found the staff to be very friendly towards my mum and also to the family when we visit. Nothing is too much trouble. She likes to get out and about and has been on some days out, which she has thoroughly enjoyed. Rose Lodge has a good reputation locally and continues to uphold it's values.
My stay has been exceptional. Everyone has treated me very kindly and, in fact, there is nothing that I can criticise at all.
What first struck me about Rose Lodge was the welcoming atmosphere and person-centred focus, always done with dignity and kindness. They just seem to 'get' it. Someone always answers the phone, suggestions are taken seriously and there is a sense of comfort, knowing Mum is being really well looked after. There are plenty of great activities available and residents seem to have a lovely time (as can be seen from the photos). There are so many events and delicious-looking cakes. It's a good life for some! But for me, the best reflection of how well this home has performed is that when Mum went in she was really not in a very good state at all, but now she is simply flourishing. I would credit Rose Lodge (plus my sister of course) for much of the improvement.
My brother-in-law has been in Rose Lodge for the past six months. Everyone there is very friendly towards him and help him all they can. The manager has gone over and above her duties to help us all. He has enjoyed some very nice trips out to different places and overall is very happy there. Would thoroughly recommend if you are looking for a homely, loving residence for your relative.
Excellent. My mother, after a shaky start, enjoyed being in the home. She loved the outings. She liked the other residents and made friends. She enjoyed the food. She always felt cared for and spoke highly of her carers. She loved the hairdressers and the cafe. It felt like we were going on a little trip. Many thanks.
Every time I visit I am impressed by the care and dignity given to my relatives by all members of the staff. I find the care home to be a friendly, warm and welcoming place and always look forward to visiting.
My parents have really settled well at Rose Lodge, and the staff have made them really welcome. They are both really well cared for and all the staff have been very patient with them and are really lovely. It was a huge upheaval moving them to Rose Lodge but we are so pleased we made the decision as they are so happy here.
My mother has been in Rose Lodge for around fourteen months initially for respite care. Since day 1 we have felt so welcome in Rose Lodge. There is always a member of staff on hand to offer help where needed. You are always treated with a smile and a "hello" by the staff. All the staff care so much for mothers' needs. They do so much above their basic needs to ensure she is happy and well cared for. We are so glad we found Rose Lodge as they have taken away so much of the worry about mum's care and needs as her dementia progresses.
