My mum has lived at the care home for nearly 2 1/2 years. The carers always make sure mum's needs are met in a caring and respectful way. Her room is kept clean and tidy as is the rest of the home. The new activity leader is excellent and makes sure the residents do stimulating activities. My only criticism would be the head office speed of organising repairs. My mum's toilet broke and it took 2 weeks to repair and only after I had complained.

This review is based on my initial visit & subsequent admission day. Staff were very welcoming & helpful. Common areas were clean & tidy with residents appearing settled & content. My brothers room is spacious & pleasantly decorated with everything he needs.

The staff try hard to look after the residents in a caring way. Sometimes when there is a shortage of staff it can be difficult for them to cover patients needs quickly. The new activities worker has lots of passion and enthusiasm to make each day has stimulating events for all. She is also keen to raise funds for more activities.

It's always very sad when your loved one needs to move into the care system. My dad moved into Augustus Court just over a year ago. I can honestly say the care he has received has been exceptional. A very calm, caring environment.

Veyr caring home. My father is well looked after. Staff are kind and always have time to spend with him. It is a very calm place to visit.

Pleased with the way my mother in law is being looked after. The appointment of the new entertainment representative has made is making a real difference. She has some really good ideas but will need some financial support to carry some of them out!

Mum is a character who does not always agree to do the things that will help her. The care staff in AC have recognised this v. quickly and are extremely patient and caring despite the challenge. Mum says they are caring and kind 'lovely people' Praise indeed! Mum has not been well enough to join the activities but they look good.

Mum and dad have moved into Augustus Court this month and we are all very happy with the care. It is more like a hotel than a care home with very high standards. Food is excellent, carers are all brilliant with my parents. Mum is loving getting involved in all the activities. There is always something going on for them.

We have nothing to judge Augustus Court against but all the staff are very friendly and patient with Dad. The food is good. The room is very clean and homely. All in all a good experience.

Augustus Court staff are always extra helpful, they genuinely care about their residents and family. Activities are excellent with every attempt made to include everyone no matter what their abilities.

Augustus Court is a very pleasant, comfortable, clean and friendly care home. The carers are fantastic with the residents and treat them with respect and dignity. The activities are varied and engaging for the residents. The food is also of a very high standard. I cannot recommend Augustus Court enough.

Mum's experience is generally good, the staff are very good and helpful, management can let themselves down at times, a lack of procedures is worrying - eg no booking in, booking out of residents for appointments etc. Communication between staff is sometimes worrying with requests, needs or questions not being passed on. Maybe a daily 'huddle' would assist.

I'm happy my mum is safe and well cared for. Carers are all lovely and friendly.

Mum was in Augustus Court from December 2022 until May 2024. My sister and I have nothing but praise for the care given to her. We could visit at any time. Whenever we arrived Mum was showered and beautifully dressed and her room was spotless. She was extremely well fed and she was totally content and well looked after. I remember her singing along when there was a concert downstairs, but the two things that stand out, were when Mum was 90 the home put on a little party for her and all her grandsons came to see her. The chef had put on a buffet and made her a fresh cream and strawberry birthday cake, her favourite. And once when we turned up to see Mum, she was being showered by one of the lovely carers. She didn't know we were there but the door was slightly ajar and she was singing to Mum while she was washing her hair and getting her ready. Thank you to all the staff for the care and love that was given, especially the upstairs staff, who always made us feel welcome.

Kind, caring staff who are highly compassionate and professional. My mother is loved and cared for by the entire Augustus Court Care Home team and we, as a family, couldn't be happier.
