View Full Details of Balquhidder HouseMy dad has been in McGregor Lane in Balquhidder House for nearly 2 years. At first I was worried about how hed settle in but he's fine & settled & the care & genuine love for my dad from staff is second to none. My only complaint would be, lack of decent outdoor chairs & tables so that residents & families can sit outside in the warmer weather on the patio area outside the dining room. But overall I'm happy with his care & that gives me peace of mind.
Despite the staff having to carry out a difficult and responsible task in looking after their residents they always have a cheerful and welcoming disposition towards those who they care for and to the visiting relatives and friends.
My husband was only in Balquhidder Care Home for a few weeks after a long spell in hospital. Sadly he died after a long illness. From the day he was admitted till the day he died, I have nothing but good to say about the home. His room was clean and comfortable. He was freshly dressed each day. He told me often that most of the food was very nice. But most importantly in his unit, the staff were all lovely. Everyone had a kind word for him including the laundry lady to the domestic. Leaving a loved one in a care home is a major decision with such bad press at times but I'm most grateful that our family experience was so positive. It all helped to ease the sadness of losing him.
my gran was in Balquhidder House, they took amazing care of her and my family when visiting I can never thank the staff enough. The home was always so clean and taken care of and the rooms were cosy and clean.
An exceptional care home, with a management team and staff that care passionately about what they do and the care offered to the residents. My mother was fortunate enough to be in the care of Balquhidder House for the last 7 years until her passing earlier this month. During this time they not only looked after my mum, but they paid attention to my dad who visited each and every week, so to make sure he could see mum was looked after and receiving the care and attention she deserved. Our family totally appreciate all that was done during the care of our mum and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
What a wonderful care home and care staff in this facility. My brother entered in September 2021 and did take a while to settle, however, the care staff were so patient, kind and accommodating to him and did everything in their powers to assist him due to a life-changing condition that came on very rapidly. The communication between the care home and myself (as his closest relative) was exceptional. Likewise, if I had any concerns, they were dealt with and reported on immediately. I have no words to express my appreciation of the staff in Lomond House in the care of my brother. He was there until January this year and even at the very end, their compassion was second to none. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts... you made his last days very comfortable.
