The home is warm, welcoming, and clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful with any questions I ask in relation to my Mother.

The senior managers are friendly and knowledgeable. There are enough carers for the work involved. They are conscientious and patient. Each resident has a care plan, overseen by a key carer, care plans are reviewed regularly, relatives consulted and any concerns raised are acted on. Cleanliness of rooms and laundry is very good. The food is good and care is taken over dietary needs. The activities leader has organised a range of activities to appeal to all tastes eg: quizzes, bingo, cooking and flower arranging. Musical entertainers and a petting dog visit regularly. District nurses visit daily to provide care e.g: insulin injections for diabetes, end of life care is provided by district nurses, the carers and the hospice at home services, directed by a doctor.

My mother has been resident at Westerfield House for coming up to two years now. The staff are kind, caring and always keen to help. I often visit unannounced. Mum is always well-presented and as happy as she could be. I could not wish for more.

My Mum has been living at Westerfield House for three years now and is very happy and cannot praise the staff highly enough. They are all so helpful and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. If we have any queries or would like something done with regards to Mum's care it is always sorted quickly and with kindness. The catering staff are a great team and always deliver tasty and nutritious meals. All in all we are very happy with all aspects of Westerfield House.

I can honestly say that I am extremely happy with the care, support, and compassion that takes place at Westerfield House. It is evident in everything they do. They are understanding to both their resident and to myself as Power of Attorney and friend. I would not want my friend anywhere else, they take great care with residents' health and well-being including dietary requirements. There is a variety of food to meet all tastes. Their care planning is proactive with a commitment to getting to know their residents. They are patient and have made my friend so comfortable. Thank you My mother-in-law was also in Westerfield House for end of life which was excellent we were so grateful. Thank you Westerfield House

My mum has been at Westerfield Care Home for over a year due to her Alzheimer's. Initially, it was hard for my dad to adjust, but the staff have been incredibly supportive, working with him, my brother, and sister to address any concerns and ensure we feel heard. My sister and I have met with the team to discuss her care, appreciating their understanding that each family's needs are unique. Their insights have given us a balanced perspective. We hold meetings to review her care plan, and the staff allow an outside stylist to braid her hair, respecting her specific needs. While no care environment is perfect, we're especially grateful that my dad-who had preconceived ideas about her care-has found comfort in the staff's open-door policy. As a Black family, it's reassuring to see the staff's openness, which helps dispel common concerns in our community. Thank you to the team at Westerfield for making this journey easier for us all.

The kindly staff at Westerfield House take excellent care of dear my wife, her every need is catered for 24/7. I cannot thank them enough for their care and kindness, and the peace of mind I have knowing that she is in safe hands.

My mother has been a resident at Westerfield House since April 2022 and I can definitely say she has improved so much since she has been in there especially with her eating and walking. The home is very well managed and I am always kept informed if she is poorly, also all the staff are very caring and have time for the residents. She is very happy there.

My mother and father joined Westerfield House in late November 2023. I can not praise the staff enough. They are treated with dignity and respect at all times and are extremely well cared for. They had not been in the best health for a while and were worried about going into a care home. When I visited the other day I was amazed at the difference in them. They had so much colour in their faces, rather than looking grey, it looked like they had a sun tan and had been on a holiday. They are now eating and drinking a lot better and the main thing is they feel safe. They have nothing but praise for the team at Westerfield House. Thank you so much, team Westerfield. You are amazing

My mother was discharged from the hospital and was transferred to Westerfield House Residential Care Home. We the family discovered that Westerfield Residential Care Home is one of the most secure, nurturing, hardworking wonderful staff who put their hearts and love into nursing care. Am so blessed that my mother is a resident at Westerfield Residential Care Home. Even though Mum is no longer at home she is at her new home with the abundance of love, warmth and efficient nursing care.

My wonderful Mum and Dad went about their lives, enjoying their tranquil environment so many miles from their children. We visited when we could, checking they were safe and well. Then the time came when they required help and support, with fears of leaving their safe, happy home. My dad frequently expressed fears of having to go into a care environment. That was until they moved into Westerfield House Care Home. A few months passed I visited them recently and cannot express the joy in their transformation. They are glowing with wellness. My parents expressed how happy and safe they feel and the team are outstanding, nothing is too much trouble. I truly want to thank Westerfield Care Home for making my parents look forward to each and every day together and certainly quashing their fears of a care environment. My dad's words were, 'we love it here and this is now our forever home'. Thank you all staff at Westerfield Care Home.

My husband was a resident at Westerfield from 2022-2023, he received excellent care throughout this time. Kindness and thoughtfulness was at the centre of our experience. It really became a 'home' to us both and an 'extended family'. The final end-of-life care was a comfort to him and to me. I thank sincerely all members of staff for this and remember you all with the warmest of regards.

My mother moved to Westerfield House in October 2019 with some trepidation about living in a care home. However, I am pleased to say that due to the kindness shown by the Westerfield team, my mother enjoyed her new abode until she sadly passed in December 2022. In those three-plus years, my mother's care was excellent. The team were always helpful and kept me well informed as to how she was, even more so during lockdown. The attention, love and care she received during her last days was second to none and I am also extremely grateful to the team for the support and compassion shown to me in dealing with her loss. Friends who visited my mother thought that Westerfield House was lovely. It is fortunate that there are care homes like this which are well kept and clean with good, attentive staff and a good variety of food. Visitors always receive a very warm welcome.

My mother has been a resident here for nearly one year. She has been cared for with kindness and compassion, nothing is too much trouble. The staff are always friendly and happy to include the family in all aspects of Mum's care. The food is good and varied, especially the full English breakfast, a daily treat. I would not hesitate in recommending Westerfield House to friends and family.

Amazing care home - mum arrived just days before Christmas but was treated like she had been there forever. With personalised care, friendly staff, all Mum's needs are being met. Couldn't ask for more. It's a wonderful home.

My aunt has been at Westerfield House since March 2022. I was initially concerned about her going into care but have been completely won over by the brilliant and compassionate staff, amazing and safe environment, and outstanding ethos and service from everyone at Westerfield House. For anyone like me who has heard only horror stories about care homes the experience of reality with Westerfield House staff, facilities, amenities, professionalism etc. could not be more reassuring, and my aunt absolutely loves it there and couldn't conceive of being anywhere else now. The rooms are well cared for, and feel like the resident's home, not some institution. I haven't eaten there, of course, but my aunt adores the food and the menu seems well thought out and moderated to high nutritional standards. The staff are wonderful. All of them. Auntie has just celebrated her first Christmas there and continues to thoroughly enjoy her new home and friends (guests and staff).

The resident to which this review relates has been living in Westerfield House Care Home for approximately three and a half years. Since moving in she has always found the staff to be very caring and helpful to her and is very grateful to them for the way they look after her. The Care Home is very clean and well maintained and is very ably managed by the Manager and her Staff who are always readily available should the Resident or their next of kin need to discuss anything with them at all.

Westerfield House was a wonderful place to stay. The care staff and management were very helpful, polite and friendly when I stayed there for respite care. The housekeeping staff kept my room clean and tidy.

After careful consideration, we had to make the difficult decision to place Dad in full-time care. Lots of research later lead us to Westerfield House. The staff are friendly and sympathetic to the needs of the whole family and professional. Dad spent his final days here and the care he received was so kind I knew we made the right decision sending him here and I would recommend to anyone to do the same should the need arise. The care is personal to the individual - days and trips out to suit every interest, the food was of a very high standard and the rooms airy and clean, but it is the staff and their caring attitude which shines through the most.
