View Full Details of Hartford CourtWe had a lovely afternoon with Mum and Dad today. It is great for them to be able to see a lot of each other as they are on the same floor. We used the drinks machine in reception which was useful during our stay. All staff were helpful, as usual, and seemed to have a good rapport with them both.
I have visited many care homes visiting elderly Christian friends and family. I have never found one like Hartford Court where all the staff are so warm and friendly. Two people I could mention at Hartford Court is the entertainment staff and the reception staff. Both these staff members exude care and compassion to residents and visitors alike. However, I could not exclude other members of staff for also showing empathy. The home is always warm and welcoming. It is clean and friendly. Thank you for your care provided.
Hard to find fault with the quality of the care provided. All staff are happy to help and always give the impression of enjoying working at the home. The review would have been a negative one if completed last month, however an ongoing issue was finally resolved by the ingenuity of the staff. Shame the company didn't step in quicker to sort given the cost of staying there.
My mother's health has deteriorated over the past couple of months and she has been quite mentally distressed too. The staff at Hartford Court have been very attentive and have the necessary medical help when needed. They have made it plain to me that they will make her as comfortable as possible.
My mum is in a lovely care home with extremely hard-working staff. The facilities are always clean and bright, the garden is beautiful and having access to the outdoors on a balcony on the first floor is a great addition. The two staff who provide entertainment are always smiling which helps the resident's happiness. All the staff are helpful and very caring and interested in how my mum is and work hard to help my mum where they can. Thank you.
I would have loved to care for my Nan myself 24/7 but her needs were too great, Hartford has been the next best thing and taken a weight off my mind knowing she is cared for so well with genuine care and compassion.
Mum came to Hartford Court around six weeks ago. She's definitely in the right place, physically she looks better, with rosy cheeks, clean! Weight gain (necessary) and also stimulated by seeing more people, interacting and taking part in activities, particularly musical ones! The facilities are excellent and her room is lovely. Staff are friendly and the activity coordinated knows what activities Mum likes. Management and reception are great, really friendly and helpful. Mum is completely safe, I'm so glad she's here.
Overall the activities throughout the year are good, but at Christmas, the effort the staff put in is great, with the highlight for our mother being a trip to a carol service, which my brothers and I know was fantastic for her.
It gives me great Peace of Mind to know that Mum has 24-hour care and that staff will contact me if there are any changes in Mum's condition. I appreciate having the freedom to come and see Mum whenever I want to.
Caring and responsive staff. Always happy to help with a smile. Constant communication via phone and email. I am very satisfied with the care my mum receives.
Attractive exterior and reception. Same for communal rooms. Bathrooms good, bedroom bare but realise can be enhanced by relatives. My dear wife is also blind, and needs two carers for toileting and transition. My only concern, being blind she is often just staring into darkness for hours. I note she often responds to other nearby people in error thinking they are talking to her, sad. Appears to lack a friend. I appreciate it's not easy to solve. We both love the staff and kindness.
It is always a pleasure to walk into Hartford Court, the staff are always happy, helpful and cheerful. They treat all residents with loving, friendly care.
Every single person I have encountered while visiting my mother has been warm, friendly and caring. From the manager and office staff to the young lad who cleaned the rooms and brought the laundry everyone showed they cared. Any issues that may have arisen have been dealt with kindly and promptly.
My mum has been at Hartford Court since November 2021 and we feel that the home offers a high standard of care. The staff are wonderful and Mum seems very happy and content, although she has had Alzheimer's (for 9 years), therefore she finds it difficult to express how she is feeling. The activities are very varied and well thought-out.
My cousin needs help and encouragement to cope with everyday tasks and staff at all levels try to motivate her. They have also worked hard to enable her to prepare for and keep three recent hospital appointments.
Friend in March from a male voice choir. I visit most days as I have known my friend for many years. I am very impressed by the care he is being given by all the staff. He could not be better looked after.
My mother-in-law was taken to Hartford Court from hospital at the beginning of December. We as a family were a little concerned about her and how she would settle in. We did not need to worry, the staff, caring, reception and cleaning staff are friendly work incredibly hard but always with a smile and are very welcoming, nothing is too much trouble and both my mother-in-law and the other residents always look clean and very presentable. The premises are spotless and clean. When speaking with my mother-in-law she always seems happy and enjoyed her Christmas with lots of activities ranging from panto to singers to arts and crafts. We are totally happy with Hartford Court and so is our mother-in-law.
The love and care Mum receives every day makes my heart full. Not only is she safe and healthy but every staff member - including carers, admin, kitchen, maintenance, and housekeeping teams - know her and greet her like family. Hartford Court is truly a “home”. All the residents are interacted with individually, and there are activities every day. The home and grounds are beautifully maintained and the rooms all reflect the residents’ uniqueness. I’m free to visit any time and I am kept fully involved in Mum’s life, and care plan. I could not imagine a better place for Mum to live her full potential at this stage in her life.
My husband came into the care home in September 2021. He has been well cared for by all the staff across the board, he has had a spell in hospital, and the staff at the home kept in touch and supported me with what was going on and what would be possible when he came back to the home. I feel very confident my husband has the very best of care and support.
I came into Hartford Court in September 2021 after a long spell in hospital. I had lost much weight and the ability to walk without the aid of a walking frame and a carer to walk with me to encourage me to become more independent again. I have received marvellous care and support. I am very happy with the home and all its staff and facilities.
