View Full Details of Kiwi House Care HomeVery successful stay, comfortable and well look after good food.
I found the staff of Kiwi House to be very professional. The whole process of arranging care for my relative was efficient and easy to manage. The home is very clean and I have full confidence in the safety and security of my aunt while in residence.
Entering Kiwi House you immediately feel the warm and friendly atmosphere. Kiwi House is a relatively new building with wide corridors and plush carpets. The staff are loving and caring and do their utmost to make their residents comfortable and content. I highly recommend Kiwi House Care Home.
This place and staff are 5-star. Couldn't do enough for us. Brilliant.
Kiwi ran a bus trip to a dementia singing event. Members of our family joined in with the staff and other residents. We had a fun-filled time of singing, dancing, and a lovely lunch. Thanks to the staff who provided excellent care on the day. The activities put on at Kiwi are excellent.
When I describe Kiwi House to people I say it's "like a cruise ship on land". The facilities, care, atmosphere, food, and entertainment are all excellent. The whole team at Kiwi House have been incredibly caring and supportive during this significant change.
My Dad has now been a resident at Kiwi House for 18 months. He is well looked after by caring and hard-working staff throughout the home, who go above and beyond to make sure the residents are happy and comfortable. The team work hard to get to know the residents, and appreciate that they all have different needs and likes. They make Kiwi feel homely and safe and, therefore, give me peace of mind that Dad is getting the best care. I struggled with Dad moving into a home, but the support I've also received, and continue to receive, has been amazing.
My mother-in-law visited Kiwi House for two weeks of respite care. The staff were extremely welcoming and made her feel at home straight away. What really singles the home out is the excellent activities programme and the thought and imagination that is put into this! She really enjoyed taking part. The rooms and garden are all lovely and allow residents to have their own space, particularly when they have visitors. My grandchildren loved the garden. She will be back!
My mum is very happy here. Thoroughly enjoying the food and likes her room.
It is hard to find the words to express our gratitude to the team at Kiwi House. As a family, we struggled with the concept of moving Dad into care, it's never an easy decision, but we knew it was in his best interest. Dad settled in so quickly because the staff did make it home from home, making the transition into care so much easier. Over the last 2+ years, the care Dad received was amazing, nothing was too much trouble, and we always felt fully informed and consulted. The biggest indicator was that Dad always had a cheeky smile because he was genuinely happy and felt cared for. Thank you feels inadequate when I think of the connection that the team had with Dad. They genuinely shared our grief and loss because, yes he was our Dad, but he was clearly a big part of the Kiwi family. Forever grateful - thank you.
The best decision we ever made was putting our Dad into Kiwi house. It was worth every penny spent and Dad was happy there from day one. The care he received we cannot fault, even though his deteriorating health came needing more and more care and help from the staff and team. The team kept us fully informed on everything, if there was any minor issue it was sorted and feedback given. The staff were so caring, especially towards the end of his life and his passing. Our family were so deeply moved that three of Dad's main carers came in on their day off to say their last goodbyes to him and another turned up after hearing of his passing it says an awful lot about the staff employed at the home. As Dad was so happy there we have actually decided his funeral should leave from Kiwi House as that was his home for the past 2 years it will also give the incredible team a chance to say goodbye to him. I cannot thank the care home enough for all the care they gave our Dad.
Kiwi House staff are all hard-working and caring people. My mum is 89 years old and loves it at Kiwi House, She is really well looked after and has all the care and support she needs. They treat her with all her needs in a very kind way. I would recommend this home as it has value in every area. This is my mum's forever home.
The staff are all very lovely and friendly. There are always activities for the residents to do where they can interact together. My dad is very happy at the home (Kiwi House). Thank you everyone.
After a difficult settling-in period, which I feel staff, care and management dealt with well, Mum, who has advanced dementia, relaxed a bit and settled in. This was due to kind, thoughtful care staff who listened to her and respected her. She was in respite care for two weeks and ultimately I feel she had a good experience. The care home is well run and the staff are caring. We will be back.
Staff on reception are a pleasure to greet when we come to visit my mum. She is well cared for and has her hair done weekly by the lovely hairdresser. Food-wise Mum is quite finicky, but nothing is too much trouble, and she has always been catered for. We can relax because Mum is in a safe, caring environment. She doesn’t want for anything as all her needs are met, and she enjoys the outings and activities and is blossoming. It is unfortunate that Mum couldn’t look after herself at home anymore, but we couldn’t have picked a better place for her to be than Kiwi House - thank you all.
First time visiting the home, easy to find and park. I was welcomed at the door by friendly staff. Was shown to the couple that I was visiting in their room. Throughout my visit I found the home welcoming and friendly.
My mum continually receives the time, care, help and support she needs to help her live to the maximum of her capabilities. We take great comfort knowing that Mum is being so well cared for. Thank you!
What a lovely place and atmosphere. The staff are so lovely, welcoming and go above and beyond for each resident and visitor. Nothing is too much to ask for. When my nanna needed somewhere to go the whole process from looking around to settling them in was brilliant. They made my nanna feel the centre of their choices. My nanna always mentions how all the staff are always cheerful and I've experienced that myself when visiting Kiwi House. My nanna always informs me of the many different activities they do like the arts and crafts with scrapbooks. Kiwi House is always bright, clean and welcoming. I highly recommend Kiwi House.
I visit the care home for two people, although my sister-in-law uses the facility twice weekly I have a childhood friend who is now a resident. The staff have always been attentive, polite and caring at all times. I have been concerned about my friend but the staff have put me at ease because they have been helpful to my friend. My sister-in-law goes through a routine of not being sure of going into the main room but the staff have been helpful and she has been able to overcome this hurdle. The home has always been clean and does not have the stale smell of nursing homes. I have been a nurse and understand the importance of working in a caring and understanding facility.
Dad has recently been admitted to the home and received a very warm welcome. The staff I spoke to enjoy working in the home and this showed with their tremendous attitude.
