View Full Details of Oak HouseIt was a difficult time for our family. Mom had deteriorated so rapidly going into hospital and subsequently being transferred to Oak House under the care of the team. The care and attention our mother received were exemplary. The support given to the family in explaining what was happening gave us great reassurance that she was receiving the best care possible, and as the end neared with the family staying through the night, the team supported the family throughout. One member of staff (the little gem), could have been considered as a member of our family in the way he used his experience to get us through the most difficult time. We are indebted to the whole of the Oak House team that gave our mother/grandmother/great-grandmother lasting dignity.
Everyone at the care home where great welcoming and compassionate during my Nans stay . They made what was a different time for the whole family earlier knowing that my nan was never on her own. We are all thankful for the staff's support and love shown throughout our visits and to the care of my nan. Many thanks.
I can't recommend this care home enough. The owners took it upon themselves to take on our very poorly Nan to nurse her during her last weeks of life. The staff at Oak House worked around the clock to make sure she was lovingly cared for. We were also treated with such kindness and it was like we were a part of their big happy family. The staff couldn't do enough for us. The professionalism and the way they dealt with the passing of our Nan was truly remarkable, their attention to detail and always thinking two steps ahead. Special mention to the one staff member, what a little gem he is, and an absolute credit to Oak House. He spent extra time at the home outside his working hours to sit with Nan, together with the owners. Also Thank you to two staff members for being there for us too, and the rest of the team, each and every one of you are amazing. If you ever need somewhere special for your loved one to go to, this really is the place. A big shout out to Lee for keeping us all going.
I don't post much, however I have to say the team that make up this care facility are truly great, thoughtful and sincere. They supported all of our family during the passing of our dear Nan till the very last minute. Such kind people and to be honoured by us all. Thank you all and bless you.
My great grandmother spent her last few weeks at this beautiful care home. I couldn't have chosen a better care home for her, and would recommend the home to anyone. The staff were all so loving and caring towards my great Grandma and we're so respectful. We were also treated so well and could visit any time we needed too, which is what we needed to fit in with our jobs. Thank you so much to all the staff all of you are amazing.
What a wonderful care home this was for my Great Grandmother who was tenderly cared for, was a hard time for all our family as our great grandmother was here for her last few weeks of her life, and passed away at the home. The carers would sit with her whilst we were at work and we were welcomed into the home from day one. A great place. if you need somewhere for your loved ones to be cared for then you will not be disappointed.
My mother could not have been looked after any better anywhere else this care home gave 24-hour care to my mother the staff were brilliant and they made everybody welcome. It was like a family home all the Hill family cannot thank all the staff for looking after Mom.
Where to start with this amazing safe haven of a place! I could not think of a better place for my beautiful nan to have spent her last days! Owners are nothing but superheroes! Equipped a room to accommodate my nans needs so she could leave hospital, to giving her 24-hour care, nothing was too much for them, they were there every hour of the day! All the carers are just amazing, so kind and thoughtful! Special thanks to the staff and manager. Not only did they treat my nan like the queen she is, they supported us family members through a very tough time, working over their contracted hours to ensure nan and we were ok! It wasn't like visiting a care facility, it was like visiting a big happy home, all the residents looked so happy and content there, the house is spotless and so homely. Please continue doing the fantastic job you are doing! From the bottom of our hearts - thank you! We will always remember what you did for us!
I would recommend Oak House care home. My sister has Down's Syndrome and is very happy to attend for respite. The staff are wonderful and caring, the manager goes out his way to make sure she gets the right kind of care. I can go on holiday and have no worries. Now I've found this care home, I wouldn't know what to do without you.
My brother has been a resident here for a few weeks now and I cannot recommend them enough. He is a vulnerable adult who had been exploited by others and was generally struggling with life. It breaks my heart to admit it but he was a broken man. The support he has received has been amazing. They are slowly building him back again and it's amazing to see. For the first time in years, he is happy, settled and safe. The manager and the team assist with everything, from liaising with social services (a godsend as I live so far away) to helping my brother learn the basics of taking care of himself. They're always there to talk if you need anything and very knowledgeable, but most of all, they really do care. You can see it clearly that the residents aren't just residents, they have a great relationship with them and are so close, they're practically an extension of our family. I cannot recommend them enough for the first time in years I can see hope, not fear for my brothers future and for that I'm grateful.
Absolutely cannot fault the care that these men give to my uncle. He has dementia and challenging behaviour and these people know how to control the situation. They sit down and listen to what the users have to say. The food is lovely and they also give the relatives a drink for not only the service user but their family as well. The manager who runs the house is very friendly and will go out of his way to do what is needed from the family as well as the person staying at the house. Nothing is ever too much trouble. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs to go into full-time care especially those with challenging behaviour.
