My Mother moved into Millcroft in December 2018 soon after her husband past away. At this time she was not only very upset but also unsure as to whether this was the right move for her. I can honestly say that all staff have been amazing and after making her so welcome, that now nearly 18 months on I think the home has been a godsend and has given her a number of great memories. The staff can't do enough and a number of them I know my Mum would call friends. Thank you all so much, I can honestly say I don't think my mum would still be with us without all your caring and support. I'm indebted to you all!
Excellent care and staff are extremely kind and very caring.
The management and care staff all very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere very happy.
Very comfortable accommodation.
Since mum moved into Millcroft, the change in her is amazing. She was quite depressed prior to the move and now she is bright, happy, chatty and loving it. I often ask her if she is ok and she constantly tells me she is so happy and can't believe it. The staff are amazing, so caring, thoughtful and happy. Thank you Millcroft. The family appreciate you all.
I was not sure I wanted to come but have been made very welcome with all the staff.
I am recovering the side effects of radiotherapy. It is hard, long, drawn-out, difficult and this is agreeable to be independent.
I have lived here for 16 months and although I kicked up a fuss at first I cannot think of living elsewhere. The staff are very efficient and I Feel really safe but this does not mean that they don't laugh with us all as well. Overall a grand bunch of carers and nothing is too much trouble for them.
My sister moved into Millcroft just over a year ago and was immediately nurtured and welcomed. At the time she was very independent and self-sufficient, despite having MS and diabetes. She values having her own front door. In August 2018 she was diagnosed with bowel cancer and has been extremely ill at times. When it was imperative that she be hospitalised quickly, they were supportive, caring and kind. I know she is in good hands when I am not there.
From the moment of picking up the phone to inquire about Millcroft, to my mum becoming a member of the Millcroft community, the process has been outstanding. Although the accommodation and facilities are wonderful, without a doubt what makes this a special place is the way it's managed. The high expectations of all the staff envisaged by the settings leadership team are met, safeguarding mums physical and emotional safety. This is beautifully balanced between independence and assistance, helping her feel in control. Previously living in isolation, resulted in mum's physical health declining, more concerningly her mental health, since the move to Millcroft mums zest for life is returning. Thank you.
My nephew was fortunate enough to gain occupancy of a flat in this wonderful establishment. With excellent facilities and a truly dedicated staff, he is very well cared for. I am kept informed of any problems or needs that require my attention. This is a home where you can be confident that it’s residents are in a safe and caring environment. I would not hesitate in recommending this wonderful modern establishment to anyone considering Millcroft; a suitable home that offers care and facilities of an exceedingly high standard.
When I first came to Millcroft I found both the staff and the residents to be warm, kind and friendly. I bless my stars that I had the good fortune to come here to Millcroft.
We moved here in February 2018 bringing lots of things with us, not knowing exactly what we needed. Not completely unpacked, no cupboards in living room and bedrooms. Kitchen cupboards too high.
I am pleased with the care provided. I still keep my independence. Some issues with the meals hoping to get it sorted.
Staff are very friendly but professional nothing is too much trouble if you have problems/illness they are very prompt in dealing with it. I have no regrets in moving to Millcroft.
Millcroft is not yet fully occupied so it is difficult to give a comprehensive review. The flats are spacious and the communal areas very pleasant to congregate in, particularly at lunchtime, where a meal is available for less than £5 for two courses. The staff are friendly and caring but activities are limited at the moment - hopefully, this will improve once Millcroft is at full capacity.
Pleasant greeting. First impression, friendly and good communication, cheerful staff, pleasant atmosphere. Overall excellent.
The staff are all very friendly and helpful. I can rest assured my Mother is being well cared for and is really happy being here. Thank you all.
