View Full Details of Pemberley Manor Care HomeMy mum has been in Pemberley Manor's care since December 2024, At Pemberley Manor mum has blossomed, she has the confidence and a new found strength to walk, with aid. She couldn't do this before, she was alone and scared and the carers couldn't give her the time she needed. She now has a couple of friends, the staff arranged for them to meet, they have things in common and look out for each other, my mum has needed this so much. Pemberley Manor hold many functions for the residents and their families, it has a very homely feel and as a relative you are made to feel included and welcome. The staff can never do enough, very helpful and understanding. I appreciate this sounds too good to be true, and that's exactly how I thought at first, but it really has been like this and to know my mum is impressed with herself in walking to see her friends, makes my heart swell with happiness. Mum has finally got some normality and independence in her life.
First of all, I want to appreciate the admin office of the home. The office works fantastically because there are no "no's" in that office. They are always supportive, there are some select carers who have a passion for this work. You will always see it in them that they care. Medical team are also trying their best but no one can get 100%. Kitchen are good in the area of their specialisation but not in all dishes such as African dishes. The new manager has really made so much impact since she assumed office. There are tremendous changes. The cleaners are also working so hard.
Staff are always welcoming and friendly, the home is always clean and tidy, safe spaces and plenty of things always going on. Can already see an improvement in my mother and very happy we chose this care home. Rooms are all very new looking and kept very clean, rest areas and day rooms are always friendly with staff and happy clients.
I was recommended by a friend whose mum is in this care home when I was looking for respite for my mum while I was away for a 2-week holiday. Everyone is so friendly and the Customer Relations Manager made the whole process smooth and easy. Mum said she was looked after so well by all the staff and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for outstanding care. I can't thank you all enough.
My mum has been at Pemberley Manor for around 6 weeks, both management and staff have been amazing from the start, any questions are answered promptly, a few little issues mum was having were resolved almost immediately, I have noticed the change in her already, she seems a lot happier, which in turn gives us peace of mind.
I cannot express how grateful I am to have found Pemberley Manor for my mother. After some difficult experiences with other care facilities, I was naturally apprehensive, but from the moment we stepped into Pemberley, all my concerns were put to rest. The staff are nothing short of amazing. They go above and beyond to ensure my mother is comfortable and well looked after, it truly feels like a home, not just a care facility. Pemberley Manor has a variety of activities and social events available. She has never been more content, and it's wonderful to see her so active and happy. I finally feel at ease knowing she is in such capable hands. Pemberley Manor has been a blessing, and I couldn't recommend it more highly for anyone looking for a safe, clean, and loving environment for their loved ones.
Within moments of viewing Pemberley Manor we knew it was the place to send my Mum for respite. The good feeling we got from all the staff we met on the first visit was so genuine and caring and it stood out way above the other care homes we had viewed. They have activities every morning and afternoon that are accessible and adapted for all. The food is all home-cooked, delicious and large portions and you are able to book to have a meal with your relative/friend. Rooms are modern and welcoming for residents and are well-positioned close to dining halls and lounge areas. My Mum had a really good, well-needed stay at Pemberley Manor and this would be the place for her long term if the need arises.
My Dad has recently moved into Pemberley Manor after a long spell in hospital and a temporary stay at another care home whilst being assessed. It is a very traumatic experience for family members when they have to make the decision that their loved ones can no longer be cared for in their own homes. From the first time we visited Pemberley, we knew it would be the place where we wanted our Dad to spend the rest of his days. The Customer Relations Manager was warm, friendly, honest and so helpful in her knowledge and how we could best navigate the complex system. Their support never waivered and it is with their help that Dad is now a permanent resident of Pemberley Manor. All the staff that we have encountered have been equally as supportive and friendly and we are so grateful for the care they show to our Dad. It feels more like a retirement hotel than a care home. Can't recommend this highly enough.
My mum went into Baycroft after being in hospital and became a permanent resident. She has dementia/Alzheimer’s. She did not want to leave her home but it was clear that although she had carers three times a day she needed a bit more support and mostly company. The manager was there every step of the way and made the transition easy and nothing was too much for her, always at the end of the phone answering my questions and concerns. Mum has now settled in well and Baycroft keep the residents busy with activities twice a day. The staff have been very kind and caring and show Mum kindness and respect. The facilities are excellent kept clean and tidy. Mum has a lovely room which is clean and tidy whenever I visit as are all the communal areas. The restaurant and food facilities are excellent. Now two months in I am glad I took the decision to place Mum at Baycroft and have even recommended to friends for their parents.
I brought my uncle who is suffering from Alzheimer’s disease into Baycroft for respite at the beginning of February. He realises he is unwell and unable to cope at home but really didn’t want to leave his home, even for a period of respite. He was greeted with a warm welcome on our arrival at Baycroft and he was again impressed by the look and feel of the home, which was a relief to me. All the staff we came into contact with had smiling faces and treated him with kindness and respect. He took a good week to settle down and caused the staff some problems in doing so. I was kept informed and reassured that for some new residents, this was normal. I am pleased to say that he has settled, and I think relieved, that he is now being looked after in a caring home. He now has other people to chat with and recently became a permanent resident. The staff on the dementia floor are amazing with him. After months of concern, I now have reassurance.
My nan went into respite at Baycroft in February for 2 weeks. The whole process; making the first phone call to enquire, through to dropping Nan off was faultless. The staff could not do enough for Nan (or us), and everyone was so welcoming and friendly. Anything we asked for was provided, the atmosphere was always happy, and we were able to speak with other residents (and their relatives) during Nan's stay, who all gave good reviews of living (and visiting) there. The staff were very involved with ensuring each and every resident's needs were catered for and no one was ever left out or ignored. Nan's room was pristinely cleaned with fresh linens and towels. The food menu was delicious and varied, Nan even put on some weight! The range of activities was brilliant. Nan was made to feel included (despite her illness) and treated with kindness and respect. They even allow dogs to visit! Thank you so much to all of the staff for caring for Nan and loving her like we do, highly recommend.
My wife who is bedbound, went to Baycroft Grays Farm Road care home for four weeks for respite care over Christmas and New Year of 2023. I would class Baycroft care home as good as a five-star hotel, all the staff were kind and caring and always willing to assist.
My father went to Baycroft Grays Farm Road in September 2023. From the moment he arrived, he was treated with dignity and respect and made to feel part of the family. My family and I are so happy that my father is in such good hands as the quality of care is second to none.
Our experience at Bancroft Care Home was very good all round. The staff are very caring and always available to assist with any of our needs or questions. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated with modern facilities. Many activities were organised. Can’t fault anything.
My friend stayed in Baycroft Care Home for 4 weeks due to a flood in his property, the care he got was exceptional, the staff were fantastic, he enjoyed the company, the catering was outstanding.
The thought of even considering a care home for your loved one can be daunting and distressing. I had no idea what to expect and was apprehensive. My first interaction with the management team at Baycroft was whilst Mum was in hospital. They made me feel relieved and reassured that I was doing the right thing for her. I can honestly say, hand on heart that Baycroft is a caring, welcoming home with a family atmosphere at its heart. Everyone whom I have had the pleasure to interact with has been amazing, the senior care team have been wonderful with Mum's transition, and they continue to support her at all times. Baycroft has truly turned my preconceived thoughts of a care home on its head. It’s lovely, clean, spacious and looks/feels like a hotel. The care provided is outstanding, as everyone matters at Baycroft. Homes such as Baycroft can really make a difference. They have put my mind at rest, knowing that the person I love the most is being looked after with dignity and respect.
I cannot thank enough the team at Baycroft Grays Farm Road. Living abroad and trying to do everything on a weekend visit to the UK is not the easiest of tasks but I knew as soon as I walked in the door it was the right place for Dad. The staff member on the emails and phone prior to me landing in the UK and another staff member on the viewing day was so helpful and kind and continues to be. They are the kindest most caring people that has made a really difficult time a lot easier. They have supported me so much and spent a lot of time helping me and have really taken good care of my Dad. Baycroft is beautifully decorated has great amenities and is extremely clean. The rooms are nice and spacious and Dad is enjoying the meals and eating well. Staff have been so helpful with Dad, emailing me updates and putting me through on calls I couldn't ask for more. Thank you all so very much you really are the best! I hope to fly back soon to visit and thank you all in person.
I first visited Baycroft Grays Farm Road in April, in search for respite care for my mum who suffers from dementia. When you first step into the entrance hall, it has the feel of a boutique hotel. The staff were friendly and the rooms clean and stylish. Baycroft were extremely efficient in dealing with all assessments and paperwork prior to Mum's respite. Mum settled in really well as she loves being with people and enjoyed all the activities provided. On the day I collected her, she was very emotional about leaving and wanted to stay! I would not hesitate to contact Baycroft again for Mum's care. Thank you.
Generally, my mother was very happy at the care home and well looked after by the staff. However, the phone in her room rang too quietly (even on maximum sound) and being the opposite side of the room was not ideal or easily accessible for someone with mobility issues. Not only were the staff caring and compassionate, other residents were friendly and my mother felt very comfortable and relaxed at the home.
My mother has been in Baycroft for 6 weeks and is receiving wonderful and professional 24/7 care from the friendly and caring staff. Baycroft is a lovely care home, with very comfortable rooms and excellent facilities. The catering is super and there are activities on each day for the residents. Relatives and friends are always made welcome as well. We knew it was the right place for my mother as soon as we walked through the door with a lovely atmosphere! Baycroft certainly deserves its Care Quality Commission 5 star rating! Would certainly recommend.
