View Full Details of Claremont HouseMy mum had spent two weeks in hospital recovering from fluid retention as a result of heart failure. She was very poorly so we needed a transitional respite home before she went home as we needed her to feel confident and gain strength. Upon contacting Claremont all staff were incredible. They were wholeheartedly there for my mum and all of us. Their warmth, understanding, support and positivity put us all instantly at ease. We can't thank Claremont enough, the place is magnificent. My mum stayed for two weeks and returned home a stronger, more confident person. Thank you so much.
After a shaky start with mum not wanting to stay, the staff made her feel welcome and relaxed. Offered her a different room to help her settle and then brought in a cup of tea. Staff also made the family feel welcome and always providing us with feedback of mums care. Always reassuring and caring to other service users.
A really pleasant and friendly care home which I came across by chance after my wife was transferred from hospital after a stroke. At the present time she is immobile so needs hoists etc.
My brother and I visited Claremont House at the end of August this year looking for a care home for our mother who had been in hospital for several weeks and had become increasingly frail as she approached her 90th year. Claremont House became our first choice and we are pleased with the care our mother is receiving - she has improved in her wellbeing and seems to be settling in now with the staff who are all very friendly and residents who she has now made friends with. Claremont is a bright, clean, friendly place for our mother and she is made to feel it's her home now, as it is when we visit her. Thank you for the care it gives.
My father has been in Claremont House for six years now. My mum was a resident too, but sadly passed away in May 2023. I cannot speak highly enough of all the staff. The carers, office staff, and management have all been extremely supportive in some very difficult and upsetting situations. Their kindness, even when they're very busy, is faultless. I would highly recommend Claremont House. Many thanks to you all.
Mum has been here since May and has received excellent support from one staff member in particular and her team. Nothing is too much trouble. I can sincerely recommend Claremont to anyone looking for a care home for their loved ones.
The overall care Mum received, has been excellent. Mum was treated and supported with dignity and respect. The kindness Mum and our family received was gratifying and reassuring. Claremont House has such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere that we always felt 'at home' ourselves. The care was tailored to Mim's individual needs and therefore effective. Any concerns about Mum's health were acted upon quickly and medical; assistance was sought when required. I would highly recommend Claremont to anyone considering residential care.
I can highly recommend Claremont House Care Home for the kindness and respect shown to the residents. The times we have asked the staff to make various changes to enhance the comfort and personal needs of my mother have been met with a very prompt and polite response. We are very happy with the professionalism of the staff and their caring attitude towards the residents. It is plain to see that my mother is happy and willing to join in the various daily activities available to her. It is a lovely, bright and homely place, and we are highly delighted.
All the staff was very welcoming to Mum and her family. Claremont is a very clean and tidy home. Mum has settled well and the staff seem to love her. Since being in the home they have managed to get her to have her hair done and have progressed with her personal care.
I can't speak highly enough of Claremont House. The staff and management are lovely and work hard to ensure the needs of residents are met with respect and dignity and always a smile. Due to the changing needs of my mother-in-law, we have had to explore alternate placement options. Claremont House has been so supportive in this process, ensuring both my mother-in-law's welfare is of priority but also that we, as direct family, also feel supported and engaged in the process. Thank you Claremont House.
Mum continues to be very comfortable and well looked after. The staff are quick to respond when there have been any medical issues and follow through with health care professionals. All the staff are professional and more importantly friendly and caring. There are times when the home appears understaffed but those who are in work hard to try to maintain the level of care. I feel that Mum’s room would benefit from a decor update although this is only cosmetic. The recent increase in fees was a bit of a shock - I hope to see that some of this will go towards A) investing in the staff B) upgrading some of the decor C) more social events for the residents Overall Claremont is providing a comfortable and caring environment.
The care my brother is given as a permanent resident is always excellent and the rooms and food are complemented by him on our visits as he can no longer manage much of his basic needs without assistance. The building and facilities are excellent.
I always feel comfortable when visiting my mother. The staff are friendly and cooperative and always greet you with a smile. They give you the choice of taking her to her bedroom or seeing her in the lounge. With her having dementia it is difficult to communicate with my mother but the help of the staff makes the experience far more enjoyable. She always seems happy and well-dressed and is obviously well cared for.
My mother first stayed at Claremont House in October 2022 for two weeks and then became a permanent resident in February 2023. This came about as follows, she lived in another area but was becoming more reliant on my assistance to remain there, not being ready to move into a care home she agreed to move to where my wife and I live. We soon learned of the onset of the early stages of Alzheimer’s and in addition, she deeply missed her circle of long-standing friends which is why she first visited Claremont House. She cannot speak highly enough of Claremont House, the professional care and facilities provide everything she needs and want at this point in her life she is very happy.
Whenever I visit my friend I am greeted by the staff in a warm friendly manner. I can ask questions about any queries I have whether they relate to health or business and I always get a quick satisfactory response. Staff go out of their way to help me.
My dad has lived at Claremont House for two years and I feel that he is very well looked after by the wonderful staff there who work very hard and do an amazing job. His room is very comfortable and he enjoys the food very much.
I have found the staff approachable and helpful when discussing the care of a resident that I have power of attorney for. She is happy and content and has received additional medical care when it recently was needed.
Visiting our friend. She is very happy and content here. Really wonderful place, the staff and facilities are great and can not do enough for residents and guests. Would be happy to recommend this home to anybody.
I continue to witness residents being treated with kindness and dignity. My cousin looks well and confirms that the food is good. My cousin voices her appreciation of the staff's kind treatment. Staff give me prompt feedback on her health and are quick to act when she is unwell and call the GP/ambulance if needed. My cousin is on the memory impairment unit so usually does not remember that she has been hospitalised. The staff show care and empathy when helping her. I observe that when they talk to her it is in a friendly, personalised and interested way. The environment is spotlessly clean, fresh and welcoming. I feel that staff go the extra mile. A good example of this was the first-class Platinum Jubilee decorations. Fortunately, my cousin is still able to enjoy the fact that the environment is well kept and outside plant borders near the entrance are well maintained.
Very pleased with how my mother is looked after despite the problems that covid has impacted on the home. All the staff have treated her very well, even though she is sometimes very strong willed! Always get a warm welcome on arrival and any updates as required. The communication has been excellent.
