View Full Details of Oak Springs Care HomeAmazing staff. Friendly and go out of their way to support residents and family alike. As a family, we feel that Mum has settled in remarkably well and all her needs are catered for. You can't put a value on leaving mum after every visit and reassured she is safe.
Oak Springs has been a game-changer for my dad. He was in a different home before and had deteriorated quite quickly. The change I've seen in my Dad since coming here is unbelievable. He is always happy and so content now and the staff go above and beyond. The daily activities are amazing and everything feels very much personable. My dad doesn't feel like just a number. They know him, his likes, his dislikes and it feels like a 'family' when visiting. Thank you so much for taking good care of him!
Mum was a resident of Oak Springs for over two years. At 91 she became ill and was taken to hospital and then released back to the care home on end-of-life care. I was privileged to stay with Mum in the care home for the last couple of days of her life. I cannot praise the staff enough. She was treated with so much kindness and care. The staff were wonderful with Mum and myself. I am so grateful for everything they did for Mum and myself. Nothing was too much trouble. They made a horrible event a lot easier. Mum was kept comfortable to the end and treated with dignity and respect.
My Father was a resident at Oak Springs from early in 2023. He had dementia and it was a difficult decision for him to be placed in care. He passed away early this month. The staff and care of Dad was wonderful. He was content, happy and so well loved by the staff. My family will always be grateful.
I wish to thank all the staff at Oak Springs for the wonderful care given to my husband during his time as a resident with O.S. He was admitted as a full-time resident in March 2023. From the time of his admission he was treated with great care, respect, and understanding myself and my family are full of gratitude for those who looked after my husband so well. We cannot thank the carers and all those in Oak Springs enough. My husband was content and calm throughout his time with O.S. and even though he was unable to communicate efficiently the staff met his needs with care and dignity. It gave me great peace of mind to know that we the right decision. Sincere thanks.
My Mother recently passed away. The care my Mother received was very good. My Mum was treated as one of the family. Thank you for all your support.
My Nan moved into Oak Springs in July. To say every single expectation of ours has been surpassed is an understatement. Nan has been treated with so much dignity and respect. The staff are truly amazing! Nan has done more in the 4 weeks living at Oak Springs than in the last 10 years living independently. She has had her hair cut and styled, her nails painted she has even been to the cinema. Her room is perfect with a lovely courtyard view. The sense of community is outstanding, I could literally list all staff members' names for special recognition as all have played such an important part in nans adjustment to her new life! Many thanks! truly!
My wife has been in Oak Springs for five years. Although a terrible illness, Alzheimer's, she is well looked after and seems reasonably happy.
My sister and I were extremely pleased with the care and support my mother received at Oak Springs. The staff were always kind and engaging. Our mother reported the food was delicious. We would happily recommend Oak Springs to families looking for extra care for their loved ones.
My friend was a resident of Oak Springs for over 6 years. The care provided has been exemplary. She was cared for during the very difficult period of Covid. Inevitably time was a number of challenges. The manager and her staff always met these challenges in a positive and caring way. They responded to my friend's needs in an imaginative and creative way. I have always found the staff to be approachable, supportive and caring. I am so grateful for all the care they have provided. Thank you.
Highly recommend, this care home has made an astounding difference to my dad in such a short time. The team here are angels, so caring dedicated and attentive. Highly focused on what is best for my dad, his care and safety. Instead of being left to his own devices in his room, with little personal care, which has happened in other homes, he is gently encouraged into communal areas and engaged and conversed with. His personal care has also increased and he has never looked better. I cannot thank the team enough, four members of staff in particular. My dad is happy, settled, cared for, and safe. I visited and assessed a lot of homes in my search for the right one for Dad. I'm so happy we chose Oak Springs.
Went to see a lady we used to look after out in the community. She looked well. Loved her room. The en-suite was amazing. She was sat in the lounge. The lounge looked clean. And well kept. Staff were pleasant. Thank you.
My mum died on the 26th of January 2024 after spending 2 years at Oak Springs. Throughout her stay and especially towards her dentist she was treated with love, her dignity was preserved, her care exemplary. My family and I cannot express sufficiently our thanks to all the staff. We certainly could not have coped. Oak Springs took care of us too and this holistic approach is often overlooked. Thank you once again.
I cannot thank the care and love shown to my mum over the past two and half years. She sadly passed earlier this month. She had a lot of physical needs, which were met to a very high standard. All the carers give their best and this is helped by the two lead carers on the ground floor who work so hard and care so much - they are amazing. All the staff including the activities team, cleaners reception should be very proud of their work as they are all amazing. Thank you.
My brother lives at Oak Springs Care Home and he couldn't be better looked after. The home is bright and spotless, with a comfortable communal lounge on each floor. He has his own spacious ensuite room, which gives him independence and dignity. All the staff are amazing; they are friendly, caring, full of fun, and my brother adores them. The food is top class, plentiful, and there is a choice of menu. There are regular and varied activities e.g. bingo, knit and natter, chair exercises (which includes boxing!), craft activities and trips to the local pub.
Lovely care home staff go above and beyond to look after the residents and support the families. I can relax knowing my mum is in a loving care environment receiving the care that caters for her needs.
Have visited a relative for her first month as a resident. I have been impressed by the standard of care, cheerful and attentive staff and how clean the care home is. Very pleased that she seems to be settling down very well. Security is first class.
My mum is always well cared for and treated with warmth, dignity and compassion.
We always enjoy visiting Aunty at Oak Springs. Her room and the lounge are always warm and cosy, and the staff are all so helpful and friendly. Many thanks to all at Oak Springs for looking after our aunt so well.
My dad was kept reasonably safe here and the care staff were extremely kind and very helpful, although not paid sufficiently. There are several areas for improvement - mostly related to culture/leadership. My dad was given incontinence pads on admission, even though he was not incontinent. When we asked why, we were told it was for his own dignity. Oral health was neglected. My dad needed help to brush his teeth but didn’t get it regularly enough. Oak Springs asked for his medication to be reviewed shortly after his admission and he was prescribed benzodiazepines. He became zombie-like. After a number of falls and after we sought support from the visiting geriatrician, it was agreed to take him off it. My dad rarely had his hearing aids in as staff said there was a risk of swallowing. The geriatrician thankfully intervened. Access to fresh air was limited to the patio unless we took him out. When we raised a complaint, the manager struggled to take responsibility and often blamed staff.
