View Full Details of Lincroft Meadow Care HomeMy mother has been struggling with dementia for years and was determined that she would never agree to going into care. We got her to the car park where she refused to get out of the car. The senior team came out to greet her and within minutes had coaxed her inside the doors. We persuaded her to stay for a week. After a day she rang me laughing and saying what a great times she was having, After a week she had already asked the staff if she could stay at the 'hotel' for longer as she was having such a good time! Her dementia is complex and difficult to manage at times, but the staff have managed each situation with care, compassion and dignity. They have responded by creatively modifying her care plan each time to make sure she is as settled, happy and engaged in the programme of activities. It is without a doubt the best care home I have encountered both in my career in the NHS and on a personal level for other family members.
My mum moved to Lincroft Meadow in August from another care home as she needed greater nursing care. I wish we had moved her sooner. Sadly my mum died after only 4 months at Lincroft but the impact on the quality of her final months was huge. Lincroft Meadow is such a wonderful place. The facilities are fantastic and the staff warm, compassionate and caring. My mum loved the varied activities on offer and the wonderfully bustling cafe downstairs and gorgeous gardens which made frequent visits with my young children so easy, allowing my mum to spend precious quality time with her grandchildren (which is not always easy in a care home setting). What made Lincroft Meadow stand out for me though was their holistic approach to care, not only did they look after my mum with compassion and kindness but they also looked after her family, supporting us wonderfully when Mum first arrived and later in her final weeks. I honestly could not recommend Lincroft Meadow highly enough.
When we moved our elderly mother with dementia to be closer to my brother, we were determined to find her a home where she would not just be cared for, we wanted her loved too. We found Lincroft Meadow and knew it was a special place. The staff welcomed her, respected her, cared for and loved her. They took time to understand her likes, dislikes and sense of humour! As a retired nurse she loved to sit with the staff and give out orders as well as her opinions and the staff just went along with her, it was perfect. They are clearly very highly qualified in the care of dementia patients, and they even took the time to teach us about Mum's condition. In addition to the amazing care, the facility is very well kept, always clean and warm, great food choices and very tasty. Mum enjoyed her total experience very much; she often told us how she really liked living in the 5-star hotel! As a senior nursing administrator and a nurse of over 40 years, I assure you this care team is the gold standard.
My mum has been in respite care in Lincroft for the last 3 weeks and right from the start she has received the best care. The staff are so kind and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. She recently celebrated her birthday and they laid on a lovely afternoon tea in the private dining room, including a lovely cake and Prosecco. (Dietary requirements all catered for too). We are all very impressed with Lincroft and would thoroughly recommend them to anyone seeking care for a relative. They go the extra mile to make the residents feel at home. Thank you.
My husband who has advanced Parkinson's has just had a week of respite care at Lincroft Meadow. The staff were all very welcoming and caring. He enjoyed participating in the activities particularly the outing in the minibus to a Palace to see the lights. I was impressed by the fact that the staff took his individual needs into consideration. There is a very nice atmosphere in the home, very welcoming. He would be happy to have a return visit.
From our very first visit to Lincroft Meadow we were given such a warm welcome and were so reassured by the lovely atmosphere and how happy all the residents were. The staff team were so supportive and worked tirelessly to make sure my mum's move to the care home was as smooth as possible in difficult circumstances. The home has beautiful facilities, spacious light rooms and a lovely garden. The staff are friendly, kind and treat the residents with compassion. There is also a fantastic programme of daily activities to keep residents active and stimulated. I would highly recommend Lincroft Meadow.
My Aunt has now been at Lincroft for nearly a month now and so far we have had a superb experience with everything! All of the staff are very friendly and always willing to help with anything that you need. Overall very happy.
Lincroft Meadow Care Home greets you with an open, bright and welcoming sense of homely comfort. The light and airy rooms are matched by the very attentive and kind staff, nothing is too much for them, always willing to help or stop for a chat. It really is a home-from-home. Well done to you all.
This has been life-saving for me. It's wonderful to wake each morning and have kind, caring staff to help me. It's lovely to have all the company. I really enjoy all the activities and can't fault the place. The meals are varied and all excellent. I don't have to worry about anything living here as it's all taken care of.
My husband is in Lincroft for the 5th time to give me the respite I need. I'm so thankful for the welcome he gets each time. The staff are very caring, both of him and me. I'm thankful to have found a home that copes with dementia clients.
After visiting several care homes for my aunt who was in the middle stages of dementia, it was immediately obvious that Lincroft was way superior to any others - with the cafe downstairs, lovely garden, and fantastic staff. My aunt was very happy there, in a room with some of her own furniture and pictures around her. She improved during her stay which was just lovely for all of us, seeing her humour and memory return as she got more stimulation. The staff spent time talking with her and she was certainly very fond of them. When she got ill and had to be hospitalised with an infection antibiotics could not cure, Lincroft welcomed her back to see her through her last few days surrounded by their friendship and care. Being able to spend time with her there in the last few days and hours was so helpful to all of those who wanted her to be at peace in the end. We cannot thank Lincroft and all the staff enough for their sensitivity and care throughout the last months of her life.
Residents can do anything to fill their time and interests and are fully supported by the enthusiasm of the staff.
I have been in Lincroft Meadow for six months. I have found it akin to a 4-star hotel in every way. It has gone out of its way to make me comfortable and settled in. I feel I was very lucky to be a resident at short notice. The accommodation and garden area are first-class and could not be better, also the management and staff are friendly and easy to converse with and communicate with.
We have been delighted with the support and care given by everyone at Lincroft. The support for us as a family has been so appreciated. Learning about dementia and doing the best for my father hasn't been easy but Lincroft has really helped. The care, and support for my father have been of a high standard. It isn't an easy time, but Lincroft has helped us steer our way at such a difficult time.
We decided to move Mum from the care home she was using as we didn’t feel the care was of good standard and after visiting a couple of times prior to her moving we all decided Lincroft was the best choice. We knew it would be a difficult transition but she seems to have settled in well. The staff are absolutely wonderful, it’s clean and doesn’t smell at all, the residents all look beautiful and smart and well cared for. Mum is finding it difficult to complain about anything which is a massive bonus. The coffee area is perfect for both the residents and visitors and there is always something going on for the residents to join in if they choose. Although she has only just begun her stay we are more than happy and it’s a relief to come away knowing she is safe and well looked after.
Lincroft Meadow provided an exemplary care service for my wife who had complex needs following a head injury accident. Since becoming a resident, she has made significant improvements to both her cognitive and physical abilities. The management and staff have been very supportive and have contributed considerably to this success, for which I am extremely grateful. I would therefore recommend Lincroft to anyone wishing to receive the best of care for themselves or their loved ones.
I cannot recommend Lincroft Meadows highly enough. The staff have looked after my mother in an exceptionally caring and kind way and treated her with great warmth and respect. Communication with the team efficient and easy.
From the moment I stepped through the entrance, the feeling was of a 5-star hotel, not a care home. It was the first care home that I looked at for my elderly mother, and put simply, I did not need to look any further. Although sadly, my mother was only there for three weeks before passing, I could not find any fault with all those caring for her. All the staff from senior management down were very attentive to her needs and made her feel very welcome and special. Also, I found them all very quick and easy to contact when I needed to.
I have seen many examples at Lincroft Meadow of humane, compassionate professionalism of the highest quality. I know that my mother has been quite needy in terms of personal contact and that the busy carers have done their very best to occupy her and keep her contented. The care provided has been wonderful. I have the very highest regard for Lincroft Meadow for what, in my experience, Lincroft Meadow achieves on a day-to-day basis.
A lovely facility in a fantastic location for us to regularly visit. You are welcomed with a smile by friendly staff members, and there are always lots of staff and residents to say hello to, especially at the cafe. We have been very impressed by the cleanliness and provisions in the rooms, with the added bonus of being able to add personal touches such as pictures and ornaments. We were treated to a fantastic festive meal with the residents - there was music, lots of Christmas jumpers and a glass of Buck’s Fizz to celebrate. It was a great chance to meet other residents and their families. There are lots of activities and events going on so I don’t think you could get bored. Equally, there are lots of spaces for quiet time to read or watch a movie in the cinema. Lincroft has an amazing team that makes sure every need of the residents is attended to, and it doesn’t feel like your traditional care home. We are so pleased Grandad has moved in! Thank you to the client services manager and the team!
