View Full Details of Bourne Wood Manor Care HomeI stayed in Bourne Wood Manor for just over 2 weeks for respite whilst my husband was recovering from a knee operation in Farnham Hospital. I thoroughly enjoyed the short stay enjoying the company with other residents and participated in many daily activities. The food was excellent and all the staff were very friendly and helpful in providing help in all activities. My medication is significant and they managed this job well. I would recommend this care home if I needed a longer period of care.
My mum decided she wanted to go into a care home, so we looked at a few. Finally, we chose Bourne Wood Manor. The staff are very helpful and friendly, the food is delicious. My mum loves her spacious bedroom and looking forward to joining in all the activities that are provided. The Bistro is warm and welcoming where you can help yourself to drinks and pastries. You can also have a meal with your relative when visiting, if booked in advance. I cannot recommend this home highly enough. The staff who helped us with arrangements were very helpful and thought of every little detail. I loved the welcome gift left in Mum's room for her arrival. Mum arrived in Bourne Wood Manor Care Home in November after seven weeks in hospital. Staff have been very friendly. From doing nothing in hospital, the entertainment team have encouraged Mum to join in all the activities. The bistro is an excellent place to meet and greet.
Mum did two weeks of respite care here and has thoroughly enjoyed herself on the whole.
All of the staff are extremely helpful and able to put my mind at ease. All of the team know my wife's name, are always positive and caring. Any question or concern I may have is immediately answered and I can visit any time. The facilities are excellent and the selection of meals, really good. I am grateful to the staff at Bourne Wood Manor Care Home for taking good care of my wife.
Very light, airy, modern and clean. Staff are very kind and attentive. My sister's second visit for respite for her following a stay in hospital and she would not go anywhere else, why should she? It is very good.
This was the first time I had sought respite and the experience has been very good. Caring, responsive with a genuine feeling of compassion. My wife has benefitted from her stay.
My mother has been a resident of Bourne Wood Manor for more than two years and, despite advanced years and failing health continues to enjoy life and participates fully in activities and events in the home. She has always been very well looked after and definitely feels at home. As a family, we are thankful that we found the perfect care home for Mum where she is so comfortable and so well cared for.
My mother was due to be discharged from hospital but we had not had time to arrange a live-in carer, so we approached Bourne Wood. They were very helpful and quickly arranged respite care for a period of 4 weeks for my mother. Throughout her stay, the staff were very friendly and helpful. I noticed a positive change in my mother's physical appearance and they tried their hardest to get her to join in the numerous events they do every day, throughout the day. It was a huge relief knowing she was safe and being well looked after. She has now moved back home with a full-time live-in carer. I highly recommend Bourne Wood to anyone looking for a safe and caring place for their loved ones.
Since transferring to Bourne Wood Manor Mum has been looked after Incredibly well. All needs are met, the quality and choice of food on offer is fantastic, the staff are very friendly and know how to help Mum, no matter what her mood may be. The Bistro is a perfect location to take Mum where she can have a pastry whilst looking out over the gardens. We as a family are very happy with all at Bourne Wood Manor.
My dad moved into Bourne Wood Manor Care Home in September 2022 and has vascular dementia. From day one, all of the staff, whether that be the nurses, carers, chefs, maintenance and the management team, have shown sincere care, kindliness and compassion in the well-being of Dad. As Dad's dementia has progressed, they have shown dedicated commitment in supporting him and have a deep understanding of his mental and physical changes. Parallel to this, their continuing and increasing support to me when visits are emotionally tough is something that I am incredibly grateful for. Thank you to everyone.
All staff at the home are very kind and caring and do everything possible to make Mum’s stay a happy one. She has been there a little over a year and is now very happy and doesn’t have many down days. She knows everyone and joins in many activities if she is able.
We find Bourne Wood Manor Care Home very welcoming and the staff go the extra mile for residents. They also are sincere in their care and make the world of difference to my father-in-law's day. The building is bright and clean, recently refurbished when we thought it was looking great before. Beautiful outside space. I love the bistro and the way the restaurant is set up every day. Fabulous entertainment and activities along with visits. We feel very lucky that we are part of this lovely care home.
I actually can’t fault the care home. It really is everything you could wish for in a home. The staff are truly caring and experienced. The food and hospitality is top rate and the activities are wide-ranging. I looked at around 15 or more care homes to find Bourne Wood and it really is the best around by a mile.
My mum has settled in very well considering her reluctance to go into a care home, but the staff have been extremely welcoming, kind, caring and helpful to her. She has become more involved in the activities and even ones I thought she would never do. She absolutely loves the food and enjoys chatting with the staff as well as the residents. Everyone is very helpful, polite and caring. Whenever I visit the staff are very friendly and always helpful. It has taken the worry away of her being at home on her own knowing that she always has staff on hand to help her. She suffers from Parkinsons and they are with her every step of the way and treat her with dignity.
From the start, the experience with Bourne Wood has been excellent. This has included the support from the team getting my mother here, getting her settled in and the support that is needed to enable Mum to live comfortably. The staff are always happy and can be seen to treat residents with great care and respect. Having been to see a large amount of care homes, it was very pleasing to see the decor of the dementia floor is at the same level as the rest of the building. Based on my experience, I would definitely recommend Bourne Wood Manor Care Home.
My dad has only been a resident at Bourne Wood Manor Care Home for the last three weeks but in this time, he now seems to be thriving under the nursing care, he is no longer in the pain he seemed to be in at hospital or when he lived at home. He has begun to join in activities in the day room and eat his lunch in the dining room - I never expected him to leave his room! He always seems clean and well-presented when I visit and any issues have been quickly picked up and dealt with via the team on the reception on the dementia wing. So far, all so good!
