View Full Details of Montpellier ManorI am extremely pleased with the care my mother receives at Montpellier Manor Care Home. The home itself is very clean and well cared for at all times. The staff are pleasant and courteous no matter what time of day or what circumstances. They are never too busy to deal with any query I may have.
My mum is a long-term resident of Montpellier Manor. In her time at the home, her Alzheimer's has got more pronounced. Throughout Mum's care has been exceptional. Mum is well cared for physically and emotionally and she presents as calm and content even if she is not always able to voice this. I feel the staff that currently care for Mum on the third floor know my mum really well. They know her moods, good and not so good, but especially they know she retains a sense of humour and a degree of mischief. I visit Mum regularly and I am always happy to leave her knowing she will be well cared for always. I wouldn't want my mum to be anywhere else.
Montpelier Manor has been my Mum's home for the last two years, although sadly she has Alzheimer's and is completely bed-bound and therefore does not leave her room, I see and feel the atmosphere of a friendly, caring and active environment that if she was able to access would be a place that she would want to spend her time. The staff treat my mum with great care and dignity as she needs total support with everyday living, they are always smiling and have time to talk to me on my visits about any concerns I may have. Although Mum has no understanding of where she is or who is looking after her I feel that she is happy in her own world with no outward signs of distress seen at any time. I know that this is where my Mum will end her days but feel happy to know that she is in the best possible place. Thank you.
I cannot praise the staff who look after my mother, highly enough. The carers are very welcoming when I visit. They treat my mother with dignity and care, as well as a good dose of humour. The cleaning staff are very hardworking and are very helpful when there is a problem. The overall atmosphere at Montpellier is lovely and I'm very happy with the care my mother receives.
My mother has just completed 2 weeks of respite after a short stay in hospital. Montpellier Manor was a great experience for her and our family. The facilities are first class. Clean, bright and new. Felt more like a lovely hotel than a care home. The staff and carers were the best part. So friendly and helpful. Our mother enjoyed every aspect including the food (even though she's a picky eater). She has left Montpellier in the best of health and we will definitely be returning if and when, it becomes necessary. Thank you to everyone there.
My mother has been a resident for the last 18 months. It became her home and she was very happy there. If she had a fall I got a phone call immediately. If she was unwell, the same. Her final days were treated with respect, dignity and more importantly - love. I can't thank the carers and staff enough. They were just amazing.
My dad was transferred to Montpellier Manor from hospital after being diagnosed with dementia. Montpellier Manor is a beautifully decorated, clean and pleasant home, with very warm, patient and dedicated staff, many of whom have worked for MHA or other care homes for a long time, which is always a good sign. They were brilliant with my Dad, despite a few challenges and he improved dramatically in their care, to the point where he was able to move to somewhere that offered him more independence. The food needs some improvement and was a constant source of frustration for my Dad and other residents and there were no organised trips out while he was there for over a year, which was a shame. Apart from that, we were very happy with his care and would highly recommend Montpellier Manor as a safe and loving place for your loved one.
First time for Mum to have respite care and it couldn't have been any better. Very impressive accommodation together with friendly and caring staff.
I want to add that one of the carers, concurred - in respect of the ingredients of the meal provided. She advised us that she would draw our dissatisfaction to the attention of the catering staff at the earliest opportunity.
My mum was admitted to Montpellier Manor Care Home in May of 2024. The care provided for her from the outset was simply incredible. After only a couple of weeks, Mum was unable to leave her room and also unable to remember to use her call button for help. The staff went above and beyond in caring for her every need and were always on hand, popping in every few minutes and answering her physical calls when she required them at all times. The surroundings are always clean and beautiful as are the gardens and a constant round of activities and/or entertainment is provided for those who wish or are able to participate. The staff were always fully supportive of both Mum and our whole family and also friends who visited at any time. We can not thank them sufficiently for giving us all such peace of mind at such a difficult time. We would have no hesitation in recommending this Care Home for your loved ones.
My mum was taken care of superbly at Montpellier Manor. She suffered with dementia and was very frail at 94 years old. There aren't sufficient words to describe the excellent care, the staff were also very supportive and caring towards me and the other members of our family. This has given not just my dear mum the best possible last few days of her life but also the family great comfort.
Mum and Dad continue to be looked after with love, care and respect. They are valued people, not just "old" people. Staff are friendly and helpful at all times. Mum's room, with her own patio, is an absolute God send. She is free to walk in the garden, which she does daily. A huge "thank you" from us all.
The care my father received while at Montpellier was second to none. Both the care staff and management were excellent, in fact, Dad looked at them as friends.
We are pleased that we chose Montpellier Manor as a care home for my mother. She has been there a year now. We looked at a lot of care homes, Montpellier stands out from the rest. The building is laid out in a good way for the residents. It's bright and beautiful too. What I like about it is there are plenty of staff and activities and in general a good feel in the place. The staff all work hard and help me to feel okay about leaving my mother there. If I have a problem or a concern I can ask the staff for help. Overall happy with this care home. Well done to everyone.
I cannot speak more highly of my mum's care home. Not only is the place beautiful, clean and comfortable, the staff are kind, welcoming and thoughtful. From the administrators, carers, activities and housekeeping and maintenance staff you can see how much they know and care for the residents. My mum is happy and seen. We as a family, enjoy visiting and spending time with her here.
My father has lived here for four years. The staff are fantastic, very adaptable to his needs, polite and always wiling to listen or help family also.
Everyone at Montpellier Manor, management, support staff and care team provide excellent care for my parents. The facilities are always immaculate and the atmosphere is very friendly. Special mention to the activity coordinators who ensure that all residents are included and made to feel welcome.
My husband moved into Montpellier Manor 8 months ago and his care has been so reassuring for me. Everyone involved with the running of the home, management, housekeeping, activities, catering and the carers have been lovely, treating my husband with respect and involving me in any decisions that have been needed.
My dad has resided at Montepellier Manor for a few months now. We dreaded the disruption caused to him moving at such a late stage in life but I can sincerely say that this feeling has now evaporated totally. The environment of the home is indeed lovely including the rooms, decor, food and facilities. However the biggest factor by a mile is the team who work there - I have had nothing but warm, caring and helpful exchanges with everyone including carers, seniors, the housekeeping team, maintenance, reception, catering, activities, and managers - everyone has been amazing and very responsive to any question or request.
Having visited a dear friend for the first time yesterday with my partner, I was impressed on first impressions. The ambience was conducive to calm and tranquillity. Her room was spacious and all facilities were present. When her tablet needed charging, the receptionist was all too ready to accommodate my requests. We only stayed an hour, but intend to visit weekly when I can be more constructive if necessary.
