View Full Details of Elliott HouseOverall, we found the car given to my brother at Elliott House very good. His Alzheimers has got worse during the last three years and his behaviour can be very challenging. Staff were good to let us know when there was a problem, when he was admitted to hospital etc. My only criticism is that on several occasions we would phone to speak to someone and calls were not always returned.
As a family, we were stressed and saddened when we had to put our dad into a care home. Thank goodness it was this care home he came to. We can't rate the staff highly enough. They are friendly and welcoming and clearly care very much about the residents. The level of care is very high. The little events they put on are fabulous. It's a very calm, welcoming and happy atmosphere. I can't rate this care home highly enough.
My sister has been a resident at this home since 2020. It's always a pleasure to visit, the home is clean, fresh smelling and the staff are great. Residents have lots of activities and it's always decorated to reflect the current season. Food is freely available with regular rounds of the tea trolley, plus biscuits, crisps, fresh fruit etc. A credit to the management.
My mom spent almost 3 years at Elliott House. She has recently passed and the care from the carers was fantastic. You all became part of her family. Special thanks to four staff members in particular along with everyone else. The kindness you’ve shown my mom will stay with me forever. You all played a part in making her last years of life special. I know Mom would like me along with all her family to say Thank you for the best care and for making us all welcome into your special home.
Mum has been a resident at Elliott House for over a year. I have always found the care excellent. She’s happy and relaxed and the carers are warm and helpful. I feel much happier knowing she’s there and she’s ok. There’s always something happening too, singers, activities and events. It’s nice they have the garden and allow the local cat in too!
On my first visit, I found Elliott House to be very clean. The staff are very friendly and efficient and caring. Would highly recommend it.
The care staff at Elliott House are second to none, nothing is too much trouble and they are friendly and polite. They look after my sister really well and care for her. My sister would not be with us today if it wasn't for the care and attention Elliott House give her. All the staff are compassionate and professional.
We love to come and visit our friend, as we are made so welcome and always offered a drink. We love to see her happy and content. Can't fault anything. Well done to all the staff for their care and commitment.
I am extremely happy with my friend's treatment at Elliott House. She is very happy here. It is lovely to see how the staff interact with the residents, and there are always some activities for them to do. It's lovely to see her happy.
The staff at the home are totally awesome. My mom is a resident, and her only granddaughter graduated on Tuesday 25th, and she wasn't able to attend. The staff made the front lounge up with banners and a cake, and tea. I made up for my mom not being able to go and made her a big part of my daughter's day. It was over and above what they needed to do, but nothing is ever too much trouble. They are all so fantastic.
Bringing Mum to Elliott House fifteen months ago has brought peace of mind to the whole family. She is well cared for and loved. Mum, herself, frequently expresses her appreciation of the staff and the care she receives. Her physical needs have become more challenging since she arrived, but Elliott House have continued to provide the best possible care and we truly hope that this is now his 'home for life'. Communication with the home is excellent and visitors are always afforded a warm welcome. The building is open, light, clean and spacious, with a lovely patio and garden area. Residents are always treated with kindness and respect and provided with a wonderful programme of activities to meet all interests. Would highly recommend Elliott House.
My father was taken in by Elliott House just prior to the pandemic. As we were unable to visit, the staff enabled us to facetime regularly. He looked happy and comfortable in his new home. As lockdown ended, a pod was created enabling us to visit one to one. They made so much effort to allow us contact with him. The care my dad has received is excellent. There are lots of activities for all residents and regular parties for us to enjoy seeing them all. We are so pleased to have found such a caring and safe environment for him. We cannot thank all the staff enough.
I am so pleased Dad has moved to this home. He is no longer overmedicated with antipsychotic medication, only having low PRN usage. He is always up and dressed. He has personal care baths, showers and etc. despite behaviour that challenges. Carers are aware of Dad's care plan. The team are always a step ahead when multidisciplinary care required. Excellent activity schedule. Approachable management team, able to share their theoretical approach to dementia care. I am able to relax at last.
I couldn't be happier with the care my nan receives at Elliott House. She is so happy there and now happily calls it home. The staff are wonderful with her and so welcoming to me and the rest of the family.
The care my father has received at Elliott House has been exceptional. He has been treated with respect, kindness and dignity. Residents have a choice of menu at mealtimes in a bright and airy setting. The daily activities are varied and fun. It's so reassuring to know that my father is in a safe and caring place. Thank you.
Elliot House is amazing! Mom has improved massively since moving here. The staff are all lovely and make sure Mom is involved in the activities with the other residents. I would recommend Elliot House to everyone!
My aunt has been in care for just over a year. Her sister and my brother are more than pleased with the care she has. Every time we go there is always a smiling face to welcome and a cup of tea and biscuits if we wish. My aunt is always happy, even though she's not too sure where she is. Thank you for your care in looking after her.
My sister-in-law was clean and tidy, waiting in the dining room for her lunch. She looks happy and content. I noticed on my visit the rooms looked clean and today and Easter decorations were well presented. Staff seem very friendly, helpful and polite, nothing was too much trouble. The home is well-managed and staff respect each other.
Mom is settled and happy. The staff are always helpful and are happy to discuss any concerns. I am kept updated on any problems that occur so that we can discuss the best care for Mom.
My Dad has been at Elliott House for nearly two years, having moved here after a really poor experience with another care home. Whilst Dads dementia has obviously deteriorated, it’s a testament to the love and care he receives from the Care Team that he seems happy and settled in his environment. There is a genuine desire to ensure the residents have their best day every day, with varied activities, entertainment and social interaction with each other. There is open communication with the relatives, menus are published, and family meetings are held. Like all Care Homes, there has been a pressure on resourcing and funding, but the team have not let this impact the quality of care given. If you are looking for a plush hotel like care home, this isn’t it, but if you are looking for a care home full of employees who are employed because they genuinely want to care for someone, and they understand dementia, then I would definitely recommend Elliott House.
