View Full Details of Glenabbey ManorMy mother-in-law has been in Glenabbey Manor since August 2024 and we have been more than happy with the level of care and attention she has received. Everyone works very hard but always has time to chat and is always helpful and friendly. The home itself is bright, airy and spotless.
Poor ratio of care staff. In the evening it could be there were no staff around. My mother didn't receive enough care, for example cleaning her teeth and making sure she drank enough liquids resulting in the family having to check these basics. My mother eventually fell and had to leave after the fall, surgery. Wasn't able to go back. No follow-up or concern was shown by the staff. It's a beautiful building, with great views. Felt it lacked great care, which is fundamental.
Wonderful staff. Great help. Lovely place. Very clean and caring. 20/10.
Excellent care provider. My mum is happy and content.
Mum has been living at Glenabbey Manor for only a few months but I have been so impressed with our experience so far. Despite being extremely anxious at the move to residential care, the wonderful staff knew exactly how to reassure both Mum and myself and helped her settle in better than I could have anticipated. She is happier now than she has been in years and I no longer have the fear and worry for Mum's safety that was constant when she was living alone. I can't praise Glanabbey Manor staff enough.
Very friendly and pleasant staff. Very clean. My sister seems happy with everyone.
The home is warm and welcoming and the staff are always friendly and helpful. We are grateful to everyone that our relative has settled into the life of the home.
My aunt has settled into Glenabbey Manor. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Thank you to all concerned.
Very accomodating and helpful. Treated with respect and kindness.
We have been delighted with the care Mum has received at Glenabbey Manor. It has put our minds at rest to know she is safe and being well looked after. Thank you.
The Manor provides exceptional support and comfort for its residents. The staff is compassionate, attentive and skilled fostering a warm, welcoming environment. The facility is impeccably maintained, offering a safe and clean space for residents. Activities are diverse and engaging. Overall, Glenabbey Manor excels in delivering top-notch care, creating a nurturing atmosphere that promotes well-being and happiness among its residents.
My nanny has been here since 4th December 2023. From my experience, the care provided for her has been positive and I hope this will continue to exist and progress into the new year.
We as a family could not be happier with Glenabbey. Our mother was a resident in this facility for over six months. There is a lovely busy atmosphere when you enter. The staff work extremely hard. The staff and management team have kept us informed of everything and also feedback on everything you need to know. The food looks and smells delicious but most striking is the cleanliness of Glenabbey. It is a modern unit and it is spotless. We have visited at all times, day and night and it is always immaculate but the real stars are management and staff.
Overall, very pleased with the home and my father's care. Also, the staff are great and always helpful.
Friendly, attentive, efficient staff. Mother couldn't be cared for any better. Glenabbey Manor is a lovely bright clean home. As a family, we are very pleased.
My mum is treated well by all the staff, and she receives excellent care. If we have any concerns, they are addressed immediately by the staff. It is a comfort for my family to know that my mum is safe and comfortable.
I visit the home with a team from my church to lead a service of worship. The management have been really helpful in facilitating this and I've been really impressed by the way that all the staff relate to the residents and also the number of activities organised by the wellbeing coordinator. Talking to the residents I haven't heard a complaint about the place and all the residents seem happy and content here. Having visited parishioners in their rooms, they are all really spacious and the lounges create a sense of community on each floor.
I was worried when my mother had to go into a nursing home, you hear stories. I am so glad she is in Glenabbey, they are brilliant. They speak to every resident by name every time they pass. All staff do this. They are all approachable and have never not had time to listen. My mother was unsettled one evening and they phoned me straight away. I was able to talk to her and settle her. They didn't hesitate, which I liked. The care given is second only to a hotel. The rooms are clean, washing done daily. The choice of menus and quality of food is impressive. My mother is so contented that she often doesn't want to come out with me. There is always something happening and if a resident has a preference to do something, the staff go above and beyond to make it possible. Because of this, I can rest in the knowledge that my mother is in the best place possible and the care given is outstanding.
My mum is very content in Glenabbey Manor and always sings the praises of the staff. She looks very well, has a lovely and well-kept room and is in good hands.
Our main concern is staffing levels. Glenabbey is a lovely home but because of staffing levels, things have gone downhill, especially the cleanliness of the home. The full-time staff are pushed to the max and as far as agency goes, most of them need to be taken by the hand which means not much help. You have very good staff, who are committed to the residents. I know managers' hands are tied, there is only so much they can do. This I know, I worked in care homes for many years. Staff are overworked and underpaid.
