View Full Details of Snowdrop HouseMy mother initially went into Snowdrop House for a 2 week respite period for back pains. Her initial settling in period was extremely difficult for her, but with the wonderful help of the staff and management she quickly began to find her feet and enjoy living there. In fact her two week respite has turned into her new full time home. I can't speak highly enough of Snowdrop House, it really is a wonderful place for my mum to live. I would say she's done more living in Snowdrop House than she did in the last 5-10 years of living in her own home.
Dad had to come into care at very short notice 23rd December 2024. A traumatic time for Dad and us as a family - but the absolute kindness, care and respect for Dad has and continues and to be faultless. We are so very grateful to every member of the staffing team - and Dad tells me how very kind everyone is to him.
Thank you for looking after my dad during his respite stay with you in Jan 2025. Your staff are friendly and professional and your purpose-built care home is well designed with an open and airy feel to it. There's a lovely warm and caring atmosphere throughout Snowdrop House from the cafe on the ground floor up to the cosy seating areas, dining rooms and bedrooms on the other floors. My dad regained strength during his stay and was able to return home after 2 weeks of care.
My late husband was a resident at Snowdrop House for 18 months. I cannot praise the staff enough for how well they looked after him especially during his last few days. In the early stages he loved sitting in the cafe having a homemade cake and cup of tea. It is such a homely and welcoming care home which we will be ever grateful for.
I was seeking a local nursing home for my Dad, one which could provide the 24-hour care that he required, for the final few weeks of his life. The Snowdrop customer care team visited his home first and was exceptional, he was treated kindly and he was put at ease immediately. They offered a room the very next day and made all the arrangements, making it a very easy decision for me and the rest of our family. Once at the Home, their ethos to care and attention was seen throughout all members of staff, whether the care team, nurses, management, catering, cleaning team, or groundsmen, every single person had a smile, would say hello to you every time you visited, every person knew Dad by name too. Their activities are endless and exciting, quickly put not only me at ease, with the expert care 24 hours a day, but most importantly, he was so comfortable there and it allowed him to be himself. Amazing team, you would be very welcome if you chose Snowdrop for the care of a loved one
Such a beautiful, welcoming care home. You are welcomed by a friendly face, management always says hello and asks me how I am. The cafe has homemade cakes and I've noticed the ambulance crews also pop by. My friend loves being here and calls the carers her family, they are so kind and thoughtful. There is always something to do, I love visiting I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
You have looked after Mum so well in her final days. You have been supportive of us and Mum and treated her with dignity and compassion. All of the staff on the second floor are fantastic, so kind, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you.
Snowdrop House has exceeded my and my family's expectations. This was Mum's second care home and this was obvious this was the place for her. She is very happy and I genuinely feel she is loved and treated with so much dignity. It breaks my heart that she is no longer at home but I truly feel she now feels at home there.
Friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Cafe in the entrance area very helpful as self-service and a quiet place to bring my husband down to from the dementia floor above. Stop. Very attentive and reassuring. Garden is lovely with different areas to visit. Phone sometimes not answered as maybe staff low at times.
Snowdrop House was so lovely in my mum’s last two weeks. The care was so lovely and thoughtful to keep her comfortable. Thank you for your kindness and humility. It was really appreciated by all the family. I shall miss the staff and the hospitality.
I visited twice to see my aunt. I was so impressed with the facilities, care and dignity in the way she is being cared for. She is in her last days, I leave this weekend to return to Canada knowing she is in such wonderful hands. Thank you.
We found all the staff very kind and helpful. Going out of their way to assist us in every way.
My partner was admitted to Snowdrop House in an emergency from the hospital on the 15th of February and stayed until the 12th of April 2024. She was treated very well by all the staff, I feel she was happy there. However, the cost was very high and I had to move her to another home.
Absolutely awful. Institutional, residents all packed into the small lounge, near the office, often no music on, no TV, no activities. I'm so glad my mums not there any more. Dementia residents are put on the middle floor with no access to gardens. It's very overpriced and when the resident runs out of money they have to leave. The food is very modern, not traditional.
My mother-in-law is very happy in the home and although she is terminally ill, her health and well-being have improved since she has been staying at Snowdrop House. The staff are very good at talking to her and engaging with her and are very kind in taking her out to smoke as she is a life-long smoker. The staff are very kind to me and my partner and always make us feel very welcome and involved. I can't recommend this home highly enough.
A wonderful experience, probably best ever home visited.
Snowdrop House treated my father with kindness and respect during his time there. He recently passed after a short illness, and I cannot fault the care he received. He passed with dignity, and that was a great comfort to the family. The staff were supportive and helpful during this difficult time.
Even though my mother only stayed for a month, I would highly recommend Snowdrop House. All staff were kind, polite and always greeted you with a smile.
We're so glad we chose Snowdrop House. They all look after my husband very well. The food is exceptional, always very tasty. Activities are very good. Nursing staff have not got my husband's diabetes under control, the first time for many years. All in all, Snowdrop House was definitely the right care home for my husband. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for 24-hour care for their loved ones.
My mum has been at Snowdrop two years and now lives on the nursing floor after moving up from the care floor. I cannot rate this home high enough, the level of care she receives is excellent. All the staff are friendly and above all caring. I sleep at night knowing Mum is getting the best care.
