My Dad was in Avonmere on the memory floor for 5 months. He settled in really well thanks to all the wonderful caring staff. He was very happy living there and enjoyed the trips out with them. All the family loved visiting him, as all the staff made all welcome. Nothing was too much trouble and you felt at ease asking the staff for anything.

My mother-in-law has been a resident here for over six years, probably currently the longest-standing resident. She has lived there through Covid and many management changes, but throughout this, we have had no cause to fault her care. She has, in the past, benefited greatly from the activities and although her involvement in these has declined greatly over the last year or so, she still benefits from the social aspects of residing here.

The team at Avonmere are caring, hard-working, respectful to residents and sensitive to their needs. As a family, we are made to feel welcome. The facilities are excellent. We know that our relative is safe, comfortable and well looked after.

Staff are very friendly, though do not always have enough time to carry out necessary tasks such as showering the residents when requested. Also, housekeeping is not always up to a high standard and requests have to be made for bin emptying and floor vacuuming.

Excellent care given by all members of staff. Lots of time and care are given to all residents. Mum is very happy, seen a vast improvement in her physical and mental health. Well done to everyone. Keep up the good work.

My grandmother has been in Avonmere for nearly 2 years. The staff are always pleasant and helpful. The facilities and food are excellent. Avonmere has always been professional. My grandmother enjoys the home and feels safe there, and they always seem to have a range of interesting activities for the residents. Highly recommend.

I cannot fault the level of care and support that my mother is receiving at Avonmere. Everything is of a very high standard but it's the staff who deserve a special mention, they are incredibly patient, caring, kind and attentive, nothing is too much trouble. I'm happy that Mum is in good hands. Thank you Avonmere!

Avonmere is a very good care home. Both my parents who have dementia are very well looked after on the memory floor. We are extremely happy with the care they receive. All the staff are so happy, friendly and helpful. The home has a very welcoming atmosphere.

Both my parents-in-law are both on the memory floor and are well looked after. The staff are very professional and caring towards everyone who is in the home whatever floor they live on. I would extremely recommend anyone to put their family in Avonmere as they are very helpful and caring.

Having been part of Avonmere for a few years with relatives I could highly recommend. Staff are great and friendly and although overworked go above and beyond. New manager has really changed things and the atmosphere and friendliness of the staff are back.

We are grateful that my mum receives consistency with her care as she is a wheelchair user following a stroke. The care staff are supportive, kind and respectful, the activity team are marvellous and inclusive and she has nice friends amongst the other residents who include her despite she has lost the ability to fully use speech. The front-of-house team communicate effectively, are helpful and efficient. On occasion when we have not been happy, Avonmere are quick to resolve any issues. We feel reassured our mum is cared for in the best possible way.

The staff at Avonmere Care are excellent. They have looked after Mum for almost a year. They are kind and caring even when she is being difficult. I am always impressed when I walk in and everyone looks up, smiles and says hello. The home is comfortable and homely and the gardens are great. The food is excellent and there is a wide variety available. They also cater to Mum's preferences if there is nothing on the menu she wants. We can't thank you enough for all that you do.

The home is clean and residents are treated with dignity and respect. We have experienced the ground floor and the memory floor and found the standard of care to be of high quality in both areas with staff making time to speak with the residents. Nothing appears to be too much trouble. We do accept that at times residents may have to wait for things as other residents' needs have to be prioritised. Overall a positive experience with no reasons for complaint.

Overall we have had a very good experience. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our relative feels at home and is generally happy. The activities team are particularly impressive. We have had a problem with mistakes over billings meaning that we were billed too much on several occasions and it has taken a long time to sort out.

Mother has been here for over 12 months and in that period she has been looked after by the staff in an excellent way. All staff have been caring and polite. Mother is very happy at Avonmere. The room is excellent as is the choice of food. Staff are always helpful. Mother enjoys some of the activities available. She is always treated with dignity and enjoys talking to certain members of staff. Excellent service, a credit to you all.

It is impossible to put into words how wonderful the care is at Avonmere. The staff are always kind, compassionate and friendly. Everyone treats my mum with kindness and affection. They all go extra mile to give the residents the best care they can. As a nurse and a relative, I have been to many care homes and I have never come across one that is as outstanding as Avonmere. I cannot thank the staff enough and I can always rest assured that my mum is well cared for.
