View Full Details of Pebble Mill Care HomeA pleasant well maintained building. I was welcomed and quickly made comfortable in my pleasant room. During my short rehab stay I was treated with care, consideration and respect by all members of staff and my visitors are welcomed. Any minor problems were usually dealt with quickly. Food is plentiful served and care was taken to provide for particular requests. There was a varied programme of activities that I am sure would be of benefit to longer staying residents. Overall a good and positive experience. My only criticism related to payment. I asked to use my bank card but this was not possible. I feel this should be reconsidered.
Very comfortable room. Very caring and helpful staff. Nothing is too much trouble.
Pebble Mill is a caring home and they look after Mum very well. There have been improvements within the home. A variety of activities are available. The staff care for the residents and take time to get to know them and their families. The care from the GP assigned to Mum is excellent and the nurses at the home work efficiently and ensure residents are well and keep relatives informed.
All the staff, management, carers, chefs, launderers etc are extremely warm and caring. The food is excellent, building, grounds, and site are beautiful. (Facilities for visitors are outstanding.) Activities are varied and usually very good. Health concerns are spotted quickly. If there were more carers - particularly at weekends - this would be an excellent home. I would still class this a very good care home.
The service he received was excellent and of an exceptional standard. The staff and management were extremely supportive, caring and compassionate. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff did everything possible to provide my grandfather with high-quality support and dignity. They were also very caring and flexible.
Very good palliative care and nursing management of my mother-in-law's complex physical and emotional needs.
My mother in law has been in Pebble Mill Care Home for 6 months. She is always treated with dignity and good humour and is very well cared for. There are many things she can no longer do for herself and she had a real fear of going into a care home. But the treatment she recieved here and the lovely bright and airy environment mean she is now remarkably content.
Stayed 4 weeks to convalesce from hip replacement (gym accident). Home unsuitable; place couldn't have been better. like 4* modern hotel. Very well furnished and carpeted. Dining rooms (or eat in your room), lounges (activities organised) and tea/coffee café. All really clean. Spacious air-conditioned flat floor room, electric profiling bed. Lovely shower in wet room bathroom (help if you need it). Cleaned daily. Laundry service included. Very good food; wholesome, freshly cooked onsite; 2 choices breakfast, lunch and tea. Tea trolley too. The carer staff are really good kind and helpful; looked after me, making sure you're ok. Also kind and helpful to residential bedridden people. Get them up and washed and fed. Call system. Excellent medical care by nurses, dispense meds and check wounds. You need to hire in physiotherapist. Can call in your own Chiropodist and hairdresser. (On-site salon; hairdresser comes in). No set visiting times. Lovely garden to sit in, and entertain visitors.
I stayed at Pebble Mill for two weeks to convalesce following a knee replacement. The care and kindness shown to me during my stay was second to none. The staff were so welcoming and supportive and I enjoyed several entertainment programmes which were fantastic. The manager is doing an amazing job and I thoroughly recommend the home to anyone.
I visited a number of care homes before deciding that Pebble Mill was the right place for the person for whom I have sole responsibility. The tour showed all the facilities that were available for the residents, and the support programme to make his stay fulfilling. Now that we are 6 months down the line, I have found the staff extremely caring and helpful. I visit about 5 to 6 times a week and have always found my friend to be well cared for and comfortable. I would definitely recommend Pebble Mill Care Home.
I am very grateful to a very professional and caring management for understanding my needs and for their flexibility. I am also very appreciative that a member of the management team noticed my breathing issues and arrangements were made to see a GP promptly who instructed that I should be admitted to A&E immediately. This action resulted in me being quickly seen and properly treated at the hospital. Less personal touch from the staff on the floor to the management. The best part is family and friends being invited to join me for a meal.
I went to Pebble Mill for respite care following an operation. It is modern, comfortable, clean and friendly. The best thing is the wonderful staff, particularly the carers and nurses. They are patient, cheerful and compassionate. The meals were excellent too.
My close friend started living at Pebble Mill Care Home in April 2024. She has only been there for 2.5 weeks but in all of my contact with the home leading up to her admission and since visiting, I have been extremely impressed with the professionalism and friendliness of all of the staff.
Mom was treated with the utmost respect. Unfortunately passing away on 8th April after almost 18 months as a resident. The carers and nurses were exceptional.
Only been here for less than a month but really impressed with everything here. Very well organised. Staff are very caring and attentive. Building and garden are very attractive. Food excellent.
Not enough contact with management. The staff are always pleasant and willing to help.
Really friendly staff who take time out to speak with you and make my mom's stay there really comfortable and put her at ease. East regularly and food is fresh and cooked to order.
My mom was in Pebble Mill for almost four years, living with dementia. As a fussy eater the kitchen staff were very supportive of this, often preparing something entirely different to cater for mom's taste - nothing was too much trouble. The management are very visible and always on hand to have a chat if needed and are very supportive of families as well as residents. Both management and staff treated my mom with great care and dignity during her final few days.
My mom has Alzheimer's and she has been cared for compassionately by the staff at Pebble Mill. The staff have been available to discuss any concerns and kept me informed about mom's care.
Outstanding care of our mother, who has dementia and is bedbound. Mom has to be washed, dressed and, in times when we are not visiting, fed and helped to drink. It is a lovely care home to visit, with friendly staff.
