View Full Details of Beechwood GroveMy husband has been a resident of Beechwood grove for aprox. 4 years. I have never had cause to think he is not being cared for properly. The staff are considerate towards him and go the extra mile to accommodate his needs. The managers are always totally approachable at any time they are available. I would not consider any other care home.
My Mother has been in the lovely Beechwood Grove Care Home for over a year and is now an established part of the Beechwood Grove family. The home is always warm and there is always a genuine friendly welcome from the lovely girls on reception, who also kindly book Mums wheelchair transport for us. The minibus driver is amazing. Special thanks to the team for their continuing sorting of Mums care and communication with me over any changes. Hospitality staff are brilliant. The carers on Ash are all loving to Mum. Thanks to them all especially one member of the team in particular who understands Mum. Thanks to the night girl who baths Mum. The member of staff who does the Residents laundry is a favourite too.. There are too many staff to mention all by names but this reviews big shout out is to the lifestyle team of girls who work relentlessly to organise constant activities for the residents, and who have provided a fantastic activity program for the whole of December. Thank you Beechwood Grove.
All the team of staff at Beechwood Grove put on such a lovely Christmas for the residents and us visitors. It was a joy to visit each day, all the staff were invariably good humoured, kind and professional at the same time. The atmosphere was jolly and bright whilst maintaining the same high standards of care and nursing provision. I appreciate it takes a lot of hard work and good will from the whole team, at every level, to make that happen throughout the home in terms of care, catering, nursing, lifestyles and domestic and maintenance services, and to keep it up 24 hours a day, every day. Everyone was brilliant. My mum and I and wider family are really grateful.
Amazing place, this is how all care homes should be, so caring. My mother has been a resident for 2 years and this care home has surrounded her with love. Every step of her journey has been shared with the family as they have ensured her comfort and care, meals have been top class, activities tailored to the residents daily and it is so clean and comfortable it is easy to settle in and feel 'at home'. Staff and residents are appreciated and this is reflected in the atmosphere which is so welcoming to everyone. Sadly as is the nature of the beast our journey has now ended and I will miss visiting the home but finish with a heartfelt thank you for everything we have shared and the support you have given to us all.
The care and professionalism of the staff at Beechwood Grove never fails to gain my respect. On last week's visit to see my sister, we were present in the bistro cafe area and witnessed one of the resident's chairs overbalanced, causing the lady to fall. She assured everyone around that she was alright and looked so but the staff present put into action what was obviously a well-trained routine, calling in the resident "fall" specialist who put the lady through certain actions to test for responses and any possibilities of breakages, by keeping her still. Paramedics were called and undertook further checks. I am now even more confident that my sister is in the best possible place for kindness, care and correct procedures followed when things go wrong. Thanks all.
I became a resident here on the 26th of April. As a happily married couple, it was a hard decision but the gentle, loving and effective care that I have always received convinced us that we were making the right decision. The nursing care that I have received has always been practical, efficient and respectful. The lifestyle team have always been enthusiastic and encouraging but never forceful. The activities offered have been varied and appropriate but never imposed. I would be confident in recommending Beechwood Grove to any enquirer.
My 87-year-old mother, who has dementia, is a resident at Beechwood Grove. In December 2023, having visited an exhaustive list of care homes in Eastbourne, we realised that Beechwood Grove was simply in a different league. From the initial contact, the client relations manager and the general Manager guided us through the process of admitting Mum and reassuring us during what was a difficult time for all the family. All the team helped Mum settle in and have always treated her with respect and empathy - understanding her specific needs. The level of care, whether it be social, medical or personal, is exceptional and, as a family, we know that Mum could not be in better hands. The communication with us from the care team is outstanding and, whenever we call or visit, nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff. Mum's room and all the facilities/amenities are second to none, as is the choice of food. The range of 'lifestyle' activities available to residents is inspiring too.
This care home was excellent in the care for my ex-husband. He was very happy for the short time he was here before he passed away.
I was very nervous as this was my first experience into care homes but on first contact with the client relations assistant, she put my mind at ease and helped me through the process. I had been to see a couple of others, after some consideration I had narrowed it down to two potential homes but the time and consideration given to myself on the initial visit by the client relations assistant and helping me understand the process that was needed, made a difficult time a lot easier, decision made. Once Dad was in the care, time and attention that was lavished on my dad, I really couldn't have asked for more. I was constantly updated with any developments involving my dad and his general well-being. Part of the reason Beechwood Grove was a consideration is that they came recommended to me as a place to view, which goes to show the care has been there throughout. Also, one of the best-kept places I had visited.
From our first enquiry to now, we have been so impressed with the way this home is run. It's clean, welcoming, and beautifully decorated, with activities aplenty, an on-site hairdresser, lovely bistro where you can sit with your loved one and enjoy coffee and cake. Mum has now been at Beechwood Grove for a few months and has settled in really well. All the staff are very kind, caring, compassionate and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for this amazing team and we would highly recommend this lovely home.
My mum stayed at Beechwood Grove for a week of respite care. The team were highly professional, kind and accommodating from start to finish. The home is beautiful and spotlessly clean, my mum's room was perfect for her and the team welcomed her with some lovely personal touches to help her feel at home. The care she received was exceptional and the whole team worked very hard to make her stay comfortable and enjoyable. I would highly recommend Beechwood Grove for taking such good care of my mum.
I cannot find fault with any of the relevant ratings. The staff are all so kind and caring. The twice-daily three-course meals are imaginative and tasty, washed down with a glass of wine if decided. I've found a perfect home where I'm convinced I will be very happy to the end of my days. Beechwood Grove is like a five-star hotel, being waited on hand and foot but with genuine love and affection shown by all.
I had been looking for a care home that could accommodate two (related) people with differing needs. From my first enquiry through to the admission, I cannot fault the service I have received. Going above and beyond doesn’t go anywhere near the efforts undertaken by a particular member of staff to ensure a successful move. She took the time to understand this particular situation and did everything possible to make their admission a reality. They both received a wonderful welcome from all the staff.
When my sisters and I reached the very difficult decision that our mother (who suffers from Alzheimer’s and dementia) now needed 24-hour care, we visited a number of residential care facilities and Beechwood stood head and shoulders above the rest. Their positive and caring approach was such a breath of fresh air and we knew that our mother would be happy there. She’s now been a resident for 3-4 months and I’m blown away by the way she is cared for. Every member of staff is friendly, approachable and supportive. The range of activities is so extensive and inclusive and my mum engages in all of it. Thank you Beechwood for making the transition as smooth as it could be - forever grateful!
My mother has been a resident at Beechwood Grove for just over 3 months and I have been overwhelmed by the level of care and support she is receiving there! All members of staff have huge smiles on their faces and are incredibly friendly. The activities are excellent and so varied, and visitors are welcome to join in(I was sad to have missed out on the fudge tasting the other day!). My mother has dementia so often can’t remember what she has been doing but thanks to a brilliantly run social media page I can remind her and show her pictures of her partaking in all the activities! The café in the reception area does great bean-to-cup coffee and there are always fresh baked treats and other snacks to munch on. It makes a great area for you to spend time with your resident relatives/friends. I really cannot recommend this place enough! Thank you Beechwood for being so amazing!
Warm, welcoming and very caring staff to residents and visitors alike.
Extremely caring to all, made us all welcome.
Wonderful.
I reviewed 19 Nursing Homes before deciding on Beechwood Grove. I called them on a ‘Sunday morning’ at 08:15 am the Duty Receptionist was most helpful and the Duty Manger called me back within 15 minutes, again this was a really informative conversation with someone that could empathise with our acute family situation. I visited the home the following week and, from the moment walking in the door, I felt comfortable and at ease, with the gut feeling that Mum would feel at ease here. The atmosphere and interaction between the residents and staff was palpable and organic with genuine fun, humour compassion and care. Now some six weeks later, Mum is really content and happy. She loves her room and is always made to feel part of the ‘Beechwood Family’. Everyone goes the ‘extra mile’ to help her feel at home whilst treating her with respect, dignity and as an individual. There is always lots going on to keep her engaged. Happy Mum means happy Son. Team Beechwood, thank You!
After I had viewed many care homes, I decided to place Mum in Beechwood Grove in early August 2018, she remained there until she, sadly, passed away in November 2023. During those five-plus years, I never felt I had made a mistake in my choice. The home was always spotlessly clean, the staff were friendly and enthusiastic. The menu is different each day, so the residents have plenty of varied meals. There is a schedule of entertainment each week, with outside entertainers and the home has its own minibus for outings. I never found Mum sitting alone in her room, she was always in the lounge socialising. During Mum's final days, the staff were kind and attentive to Mum and myself. Hence, I have no hesitation in recommending Beechwood Grove - keep up the good work.
