View Full Details of Grosvenor Manor Care CentreI've got nothing but high praise for the fantastic staff at Grosvenor Manor. They made the last few months of my dad's life so much more bearable than they could have been. They were kind, thoughtful, diligent and highly professional. With the condition my dad was in, he needed a lot of looking after, and it can't have been easy work - but the staff did everything that needed to be done with great care, patience and humour, and he really appreciated their efforts. The home makes for a very pleasant environment: spacious, well furnished, welcoming and peaceful. I can't recommend it highly enough.
The staff are courteous, efficient and respectful throughout. Any concerns, large or small are always dealt with promptly and efficiently. Relatives are always greeted on arrival and departure and security is very good. My mother has been a resident for over five years and considers Grosvenor Manor as her home. There is always something going on and the staff are caring and supportive and always taking the time for a little chat with residents. A very homely place, hard to fault it.
How do I praise enough, the service and care my mother receives from Grosvenor Manor? I don't feel I am articulate enough to do justice. The love, care and attention she receives is equal to that received from her caring and loving family. Yes, the whole feel from the entire staff is that of a loving caring family, who show love, compassion and dedication. When I say entire staff, I really do mean each and every one. I don't know how it is possible to give more than the 100% that is given throughout the year, but December and the run-up to Christmas went above and beyond! I am not going to and cannot select one section of staff over another, as each I feel give equally in their respective roles. A sincere thank you to all at Grosvenor Manor.
I have been very impressed with the service provided by Grosvenor Manor. All the staff are welcoming and friendly and nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. The home is lovely and clean and always staff around to answer any questions. There are also plenty of activities on a daily basis to engage people if they wish to take part. I feel lucky that we were able to get a respite bed and did not hesitate to take up the offer immediately. I would hope to be able to make this place a permanent home for my husband.
Last year Mum came into Grosvenor Manor due to dementia. It's the hardest decision we have had to make, but the love and support from everyone has quelled our fears. I can't praise the staff highly enough. The manager runs a brilliant team. All staff know every resident by name, even though they may not have direct contact with them. Rooms are superb with a brilliant wet room. There is a good choice of meals including a cooked breakfast and three courses for lunch and dinner, as well as supper at 8pm, if desired, also morning and afternoon tea/coffee with a biscuit or piece of cake. Activities morning and afternoon cover a very wide range of interests, including regular visits from singers and children from local schools and nurseries. Also, there are regular visits out. Every resident is treated with respect and care and are shown true affection. Families are also well supported and believe me I have needed that support over the last twelve months. Very, very well done Grosvenor Manor.
A wonderful experience from the moment we arrived just to look around. Mum loved it and knew instantly that this was the right place for her. The staff were extremely professional, welcoming and helpful and made you feel very relaxed. Mum decided to stay and signed up for 2 weeks of respite with a view to being a permanent resident. What a greeting she received when we arrived to check-in. Everything so far has been wonderful, with all the staff, food and 24-hour care they provide.
Mum was admitted for 2 weeks of respite yesterday. The staff were amazing putting Mum at ease and explaining the process. It's a lovely care centre with all staff very welcoming and after Mum's first night, she is very happy with care. So much so she will probably like to stay here permanently. A big thank you to all the staff.
Always given a warm welcome by the staff who cannot do enough to make my visit an enjoyable experience.
What can I say? Worth your weight in gold. 100% peace of mind. 100% quality of care. 100% respect and care shown to Dad. So happy we found you!
My dad has settled well, after a period of live-in care at home that really did not work. Now he is settled, content, positive, and that is all down to both the superb staff and the lovely environment at this home. His clothes were all labelled in 30 mins from arrival, and I now cry with relief and satisfaction, rather than - before he came here - anxiety and sadness. It really is a lovely place to visit too: I recommend it as much as the district nurse who told me about it.
The exterior of Grosvenor Manor is attractive with well-established plants and shrubs and parking space is more than adequate. The reception team were welcoming and helpful while the decor and furnishings were bright and modern. My friend's room was spacious and had a lovely outlook on the garden. I had lunch there and found it plentiful and very tasty. A lovely place to visit a good friend.
Mum moved into Grosvenor Manor Care Home in November 2023, and I’ve seen such a positive change in her in such a short space of time. Before the move to Grosvenor Manor, Mum’s dementia worsened considerably over a 12-month period. Since then, the care team and support staff have somehow re-ignited her and given her a new sense of purpose. She loves the daily activities and has already developed very close relationships with several members of the team and with some of her fellow residents. I cannot speak highly enough of everyone involved with Grosvenor Manor from the front desk to the carer team, the management, and the general support staff. I can honestly say that this has been the best thing to have happened to Mum in years and I really look forward to visiting her in her new surroundings.
My mum suffers with dementia and Grosvenor Manors varied activities provide her with stimulation and enjoyment. Every member of staff that she encounters during the day greets her with a smile and a hello which helps her feel safe and part of a community. The home is decorated beautifully and cleaned immaculately. Other areas I have to commend are the laundry services provided by house keeping and the weekly GP visits.
My 94-year-old mother received a very warm welcome by everyone. Care staff are wonderful, making it clear they are there to support me as well as her. Very reassuring that they don’t use agency staff, treating their staff as well as they do their residents. Nothing is too much trouble!
I am so pleased that my wife is staying in such a lovely place. I have visited many care homes in the area and this is head and shoulders above the rest. The staff and management are very caring and pleasant to patients and visitors, it's like a four-star hotel except better. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to comment on this care home.
Grosvenor Manor is a wonderful carehome. My husband has been there for 4 years, and l would highly recommend it. The staff go above and beyond to keep him clean, and happy. This place is first-class in every way.
The care home provides a friendly, homely and caring environment to all. The service and staff are outstanding providing for all the needs of the residents to a very high standard and are readily on hand to support the residents family.
I visit my grandmother here with my mum and my grandmother always has a smile on her face, we can genuinely tell she has an outstanding quality of care at Grosvenor Manor. The staff are so warm and caring, they genuinely give their everything into the care they give my grandmother and the other residents. It feels so warm when we visit. It’s always very clean and a positive experience when we come to see her. The manager is always available when ever we need something or have questions, she gives her everything into the place and it shows. My mum and I couldn’t be happier knowing my grandmother has such excellent care, when visiting times have finished I feel completely relaxed knowing my grandmother is happy and safe and completely cared for, it really shows throughout the home. Thank you for all you all do for my grandmother, the other residents and all the families.
I am more than happy with my mum's care at Grosvenor Manor. We have complete peace of mind in the knowledge that she is in caring and capable hands. Communication is excellent and nothing is too much trouble. I would recommend Grosvenor Manor without hesitation. The staff are very willing to go above and beyond.
I have seen a great improvement in my mother-in-law since she went into Grosvenor Manor in November last year. The very varied activities arranged for the residents have helped her regain her drive and feeling of integration in a welcoming and caring community.
