View Full Details of Cavendish Park Care HomeAt all times I feel comfortable and cared for. The atmosphere is always a happy one which boosts the moral at all times. The level of care is excellent. At all time I feel secure and safe in the hands of the staff.
My mother was a resident at Cavendish Park Care Home for over 2 and a half years and during that time her care has been amazing. Despite her dementia progressing, she was always treated beautifully and encouraged to take part in all the wonderful activities on offer. From a practical point of view, her room was always tidy and welcoming and she was immaculate and well turned out (which was important to her). Devastatingly, she had a fall- they called me straight away- and we went to A and E in an ambulance. Her injuries were catastrophic but rather than spend her last days in hospital, she was able to return to Cavendish Park where she was treated with great care and kindness. We, as a family, were so well looked after and provided for in the following days and she died peacefully, with dignity, with her family around her. I cannot stress enough how amazing the manager and her fantastic staff are - we are so grateful that mum was looked after so sensitively for 2 and a half years. Thank you.
Mum was in Cavendish Park Care Home for 4 1/2 years and I can honestly not praise the home and all it's staff enough. When she first went in, as the pandemic started, she was against it but with encouragement from the amazing staff, she eventually settled. Mum began reading, knitting, doing jigsaws things I hadn't seen her do for 40+ years! Sadly, mum caught pneumonia in October last year and after a spell in hospital the strain affected her heart and kidneys, she was put on palliative care. I requested she went home, and was so glad I did. Mum was back in her own bed and our family was welcomed to be with her 24 hours a day. There were trays of snacks and drinks for us, kitchen staff asked what we'd like for meals each day. Staff came to see mum to give her a kiss goodbye telling lovely memories of her in the home. End of life care was so loving. I cannot tell you how much this did my heart good. All these incredible people made the last few days of mum's life loving and respectful.
My mother has recently lost her husband, and moved into Cavendish Park after 60 years in her previous home, so it's been a huge adjustment for her. The staff at Cavendish Park have managed her arrival there superbly, and I could not have chosen a better place for her. She is surrounded by caring, supportive staff who are looking after her every need, and is already making friends with other residents. It's a great peace of mind to realise that she is being so well looked after in what is clearly a highly professional and well run care home. Five stars for everything from me!!
My partner has been a resident at Cavendish Park for the last 15 months. Throughout, her care has been of the highest standard from all members of staff. Despite her somewhat reluctant cooperation, all have been kind, competent, and thoroughly professional at all times. The cleanliness, food service, laundry service, and personal care have been beyond question. Well done to Cavendish Park, and thank you.
An absolutely beautiful care home which is a pleasure to visit. The staff are superb - so friendly and caring towards residents and visitors. The residents are in fantastic hands. My mother is so happy living here and as soon as I walked into Cavendish Park I knew it was the right place for her. The activities are wonderful and I've enjoyed some of them myself including a visit from birds or prey. I'm able to access a daily report about my mum's welfare and what she's been up to. This gives me peace of mind. We are lucky she was able to find a room here. I would definitely recommend it.
I love Dad being at Cavendish. The home is incredibly caring with excellent staff. It is always clean and relaxed. No one likes putting a loved one into a home but the staff at Cavendish made it an easy transition for both Dad and for me.
Supportive staff. From my perspective, from management, clinical and support staff, everyone is approachable, friendly and supportive to provide high levels of care. Staff deliver on what they promise, whether it’s reviewing care plans, or updating us as a family on any recent falls or unpreventable incidents in relation to my father’s health. This is always to my knowledge well managed, timely and sensitively communicated. The recent support of the management in helping us have my loved one's needs assessed, and hopefully helping facilitate funding for his continued care needs has shown how approachable the staff are.
Both my mother-in-law and father-in-law were residents at Cavendish Park. Both have now passed away, but the care they both received was exemplary. My father-in-law was sadly only there three months before he died, but my mother-in-law was there for just over two and a half years. I found all staff, from the care home manager to reception staff, nursing staff, and all those who came in to help and support Mum with her daily needs, were warm, friendly and professional. When end-of-life support and care was required recently, everything was done to make sure Mum's last days were as comfortable and pain-free as possible. Our family felt supported throughout the whole journey of choosing a care home, to saying goodbye to our beloved relatives, by the wonderful team at Cavendish Park. We felt they truly cared and are a shining example of a really well-run care setting. Our thanks to everyone involved.
My mum has lived at Cavendish Park for nearly 3 years now and it definitely feels like home to her. She has been through some ill health episodes and the wonderful staff have been supportive and caring throughout. They are very responsive to health needs and always get Mum prompt medical attention. Every member of staff, admin, care, housekeeping, maintenance, hairdresser, whoever you meet is always courteous and helpful and welcoming. The standards are high and that’s really important to my mum. She always comments on how friendly and polite this staff are, how clean everywhere is, and how good the food is as despite having Dementia these things are essential to her. The activities available are excellent, there’s plenty of variety and the activities staff are always enthusiastic and welcoming. Cavendish is a lovely, friendly and caring environment. I’m no longer worried when I’m not with Mum as I feel she’s happy, safe, supported and always has someone to talk to.
Mum went into Cavendish Park Care Home in September and has settled well. It is a big change for everyone but the care home staff could not have been more caring and attentive to Mum and helpful to us, whether we have questions about her health, her condition or appropriate activities, and also in their prompt communication to us. Mum is enjoying the daily activities, chatting to her new friends and being visited by family and friends in the lovely bistrot, and the staff are on hand to help whilst allowing Mum to still help herself where possible. We followed our gut in choosing a home which manages to feel both high quality and friendly, 5-star and yet homely. It is also a lovely place to visit and the staff could not be more friendly, making every visit, even the harder ones, so much more pleasurable.
From our first initial contact with Cavendish Park, we were very happy with the staff and their caring attitude. They really did go the extra mile to help us get a positive outcome with finding somewhere for our relative to come to. We can’t fault them for the support they gave to me and my husband having never having to organise something like this.
My father has spent his first month at Cavendish Park Care Home. From the first phone call, we, as a family, have been greeted with genuine care and concern regarding issues related to our father. Our father has been welcomed into “The Cavendish Family" with a true embrace. The care he is receiving is given with real joy, and nothing is too much of a problem. The dignity he receives enables him to remain himself. The staff encourage him to join in a variety of activities, even rearranging the lounge to enable a rugby World Cup supper! As a family, Dad included, we are all immensely grateful and humbled by the care he, and ourselves, are receiving. Thank you, everyone.
It's early days for Mum in Cavendish Park but we have been so lucky that she was able to move into this very special place. It's been an emotional rollercoaster but the team have been wonderfully welcoming and continues to be supportive of her ongoing needs whilst aware of the challenges all this presents to a 91-year-old who has just given up an independent lifestyle. We have no doubt we are in the right place and have Mum on the right path which is a great relief for us all.
Cavendish Park Care Home is more like a hotel. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. My aunt was very worried about going in to start but the service and pleasantness of everyone put her at ease very quickly. The place is so clean and the layout on the floors for the residents is second to none. The price you pay for care includes everything you want, except personal items. Called in to see our aunt yesterday and she was looking absolutely brilliant. Well worth the cost. In fact, thinking of getting our names down
Cavendish Park Care Home is an outstanding care home. My mum has been a resident there now for over two years and is thriving and always looks so happy. The carers on the dementia floor that she is on work so hard and I am in awe of how patient and caring they are. My mum loves taking part in the activities that are put on and I regularly arrive when my 90-year-old mum is off to a disco and dancing and thoroughly enjoying herself. It was so lovely to see her going on a trip to Weston-super-Mare. The staff at the home put on a lovely 90th birthday celebration for my mum and she loved the cake and the balloons and the fuss that was made of her. Thank you to all the staff at Cavendish Park for all you do!
My mother was in this care home from September 2020. The care she has had has been amazing. I was always kept up to date with everything and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. There’s always a smiley face to greet and help you, from management through to care staff, maintenance, cleaning staff, kitchen staff and receptionists. Sadly, my mother has now passed away but I can’t speak highly enough of the care she received and that my family received at this sad time. They looked after all of us. Thank you Cavendish Park Care Home.
I visit the home regularly and always think what a lovely place it is to live. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. It’s always lovely and clean and very well run. Residents all seem happy and content and there’s always an activity going on.
My stepmother's comfort is unquestionably and appreciably heightened by an admirable staffing structure and the organisation's approach to detailed and ongoing training, across every facet of operations; the excellent consistency in sustaining its corporate ethos can stand comparison with any medium-sized enterprise. I forward significant praise for the standards set in all aspects of infrastructure and housekeeping management within the home. I add that some of the general rooms, for leisure, camaraderie, relaxation or reflection, would never be out of place in a top class hotel chain. The gradual, stepwise removals of once restrictive protocols do assist ongoing progress, with increasingly imaginative and well-delivered programmes of wide-ranging activities.
All of the staff at Cavendish are just wonderful. Ever since my grandmother came into the home, they have been so supportive of both her and the family too. Even through the rougher times, they have provided enduring kindness to the whole family - something for which we are ever grateful. The facilities and activities on site are wonderful, enabling residents to really feel at home. There is a real sense of genuine empathy from everyone there, and any queries are always resolved quickly and gently. I honestly cannot say enough good things about Cavendish. I would have no hesitance in recommending them to anyone.
