View Full Details of Green Lane Care Centrefrom day one dad stayed in 6 weeks ,the staff were extremely helpful, experienced nothing was no trouble.made him feel happy as they had time to talk to him. the care they gave him as he couldnt do his self was no trouble. but most of all dad couldnt praise the food what he had was fab an he sed to compliment the chef so much from .would like to give a big thankyou to all the staff everyone, THANKYOU..
I am so shocked that this care home has not been reviewed by the Care & Quality control commission. They are so under-staffed and cannot cope with the patients that they have. The staff that they do have are mainly young and from overseas. With what I have seen, I have to assume not much training & very little english speaking vocabulary. My mother last week pressed for help to visit the toilet & it took them nearly 90 minutes to answer her call. She has been in tears and doesn't even know why she was moved here. Her only respite is that the physio people are visiting her 2-3 times per week and it's the only incentive she has to get stronger after her operation and get back home. On my visit today a gentleman had a 1pm appointment to do a risk assessment in the home & the management had all gone and stood him up, which sums up how this place is being run. Probably getting a ton of money from the council and not being wisely spent!
As a family, we can't tell you how pleased we are with this care home. My Mother-in-law has dementia and the staff are so patient with her, even throwing a party for her 90th birthday. Whenever we visit we are made really welcome. Her room is clean and there is always someone on hand for any problems, although we have never had any problems here and cannot thank everyone highly enough, please keep up the good work.
I am very pleased with the care I've received.
From day one to leaving all staff were caring, tentative, very professional and extremely experienced in all areas. My mum was sad to leave, this says it all. Cannot thank all staff enough.
We have been delighted with the care and commitment that Mum has had over the past three weeks. Staff are so friendly and so helpful. My mum is very grateful for the care she has been given. Well done to all the team.
Would definitely recommend this care home, the doctors, nurses, physios and carers really looked after my mum, they were kind and caring, the rooms were clean and the food looked really nice. She has been in another care home which I refused to let her go back to. This one was wonderful compared to that one, what a difference.
A very pleasant place to stay with excellent caring staff, obliging at all times.
Our mum has been here for several weeks and she and the family are very grateful for the care she has been given. The staff are very kind and lovely and couldn't do enough. They have a gentle approach when caring for Mum.
My mum was in Green Lane Care Centre in September 2024. The staff are lovely, very kind and caring. The room is kept clean. Reception staff are very welcoming and nice. The rooms need decorating, a bit shabby. The food is very bland most of the time. The call bell goes off constantly, very loud, difficult to sleep. Other residents allowed to wander into rooms at night.
My 89-year-old Mum has been in your care for the past 8 days. From the first being transferred from hospital, I have been impressed by Green Lane Care Centre, both over the telephone and in person, from my regular visits. Everyone is polite, helpful and shows kindness and respect to my mum and myself. As a staff nurse in hospital for 29 years I feel my assessment abilities are good. My assessment of you is that you at Green Lane Care Centre are very good. Thank you.
My husband was admitted to Green Lane after a 7-week stay in hospital. He was frail when he entered Green Lane but the care provided by the staff really helped him to improve. All the staff were friendly and professional and took the time to sit with him and chat. He is now on the way to a good recovery.
My mum had a fall. She is in her 90s and came for 4 weeks of rehabilitation. The staff were kinder than I would have ever imagined. I would visit regularly and the rooms were pleasant, well thought out. The home seemed to take a genuine interest in Mum and her welfare. The staff were always kind and pleasant and the home seemed to be very well-run. The home made Mum feel incredibly welcome when she arrived. She loved the staff there and still misses them now she is back home. I would recommend the home to others. They look after the residents well. It feels like the staff care.
Lack of equipment, lack of trained staff makes this less of a rehab place. Resident going backwards not forwards and care is not great unless you get one of the few members who know what they are doing. Poor communication with residents and family.
Extremely helpful staff. Very professional experience.
My dad was in this care home. I can’t praise the staff enough. He was looked after and cared for brilliantly. The physio team were amazing. Thank you to all the staff, very much appreciated. He came in for rehabilitation after having a hip replacement.
Everyone was helpful and willing to give that extra bit of help. You have an excellent team.
My mum was in the ‘care’ of Green Lane for 2 nights before I removed her from the facility. The conditions are appalling and no-one appears to care. Green Lane Manager, after an ‘investigation,’ sent a letter saying disciplinary action had been taken with some of the staff who abused mum. When I responded to the letter asking for actual specifics and safeguards which had been put into place, I did not receive any response. What goes on behind those walls is not acceptable. Bond Care (the corporate owner) should be ashamed of themselves. By the way, after I removed mum from this facility, two neighbors came forward to say they knew of other people who had suffered rough treatment at the hands of the Green Lane staff. Everyone from Green Lane involved with sweeping this stuff under the rug needs to take a long look at their despicable selves. If you have a loved one or friend in this facility, get them out ASAP. Visit often and if something doesn’t look right, ask for the video!
Mum (93) was taken to Green Lane for rehabilitation after a fall at home and a hospital stay. After realising Mum would be unable to return home, and seeing first-hand the standard of care Green Lane offered we wanted Mum to stay at Green Lane, and Mum agreed without hesitation. Mum has dementia and her face lights up when she sees staff, they work hard to get to know each resident as an individual, have always been caring and compassionate with Mum, and patiently explain things over when she is confused. The care she receives is really person-centred and dignified, she is offered choices in all aspects of her care. Residents are encouraged and supported by staff to attend activities, and these seem really popular and well-attended. I cannot praise the staff at Green Lane enough, to them this is not 'just a job' it is obvious they are passionate about the care residents receive, and we are so grateful for the excellent care Mum is receiving.
My sister was admitted yesterday from the hospital for recovery/rehab. This is the second care home she has been in for this perhaps. I cannot begin to tell you how impressed I am with Green Lane. From the moment we arrived each of us was treated with care/dignity and respect. In the subsequent 24 hours, every member of staff regardless of role took time to get to know her, assess all her needs, and communicate with me. Neither of us has ever had this outstanding experience.
