View Full Details of Trinity House Care HomeThis care home is excellent. Their dedication to the residents is wonderful. They try to do different activities to make the residents feel valued and they are doing different things. The range of activities is very good.
I would recommend Trinity House to anyone thinking of placing their loved one in care, it's not an easy task to do. l have found the care home mainly lives up to its promises, plenty of staff who are mostly caring, some more than others, that's the norm in care homes l believe. The nurses and management are always willing to discuss anything that may need to be brought to their attention no matter what.
My mother-in-law has been a resident for 17 months now in Trinity and the care and nursing she is receiving is second to none along with lovely accommodation. There is an excellent activity program, providing a variety of activities and outings. The staff always welcome us on our visits, which is lovely. Trinity House Care Home is amazing and we couldn't be happier that my mother-in-law is so well looked after and happy there.
My mum has been a resident in Trinity House for two years now and as a family we are reassured that she is as safe, happy and settled as she can be whilst living with Alzheimer's disease. She has many opportunities to get out and about and engage with the local community and she particularly enjoys spending time with the nursery school children. The staff have shown great care and compassion when supporting Mum with her changing needs and I know that I can visit anytime and be as involved in her care as much as I am able to. Trinity House is a happy, welcoming place for all.
My mother moved to Trinity House last November following the closure of a previous care home which was once a flagship care home in North Edinburgh. The offered accommodation - together with the support of the Social Services Department - for which we are eternally grateful. Over the past year, I have noticed a steady improvement in the running of the home as the staff complement has increased to meet the increasing demand for rooms. My mother says she is very happy living there.
The care given to my sister while in the home is wonderful. So many really special people. Outings for residents are so important and I really enjoy seeing what is happening on social media. When I come down to visit my sister, I especially like to be involved with the activities that are taking part that day. I try to attend the Thursday coffee mornings each week to support the home and enjoy the singing when the piano is played. The residents really enjoy their requests being played so they can sing songs that they know. I feel I can relax knowing my sister is getting such good care. The nurses are wonderful and attend to all medical issues.
Trinity Care Home has been a brilliant find. My mum is so happy and content. She has been in many other care homes for respite and always wanted home. The care is second to none and all so friendly. Lots of activities everyday and my mum now joins in happily. The staff always make time for the residents and visitors. A hairdressing salon is there and she gets her hair done every week. There is also a park opposite where they get taken out and lovely gardens in the home. Excellent.
We all had a lovely afternoon. The buffet was lovely, with a good selection and the staff were very attentive. Nothing was too much trouble.
My late mother was a resident at Trinity House from March 2019 until her death on 17 November 2022. During that time I cannot fault the care and attention she received from the staff, particularly during her last few days. I want to record my dismay with the process for fees being returned that were paid in advance – an amount in excess of £4,000.00. It is now 120 days or 4 months since Mum’s passing and despite numerous phone calls and emails over the course of that time, Care Concern still hold our funds with no obvious intention to repay them. The length of time taken along with the protracted communication has caused us additional distress at this most difficult time. The Finance Manager and her assistants have been of no help to us and are obviously unsympathetic in terms of resolving this while retaining our funds - something which appears to be common practice.
My uncle sadly passed away on Friday. During my final visit that day the staff in particular one went out of their way to comfort me. My uncle was very happy at Trinity House Care Home. The piano and musical activities made all the difference.
I am extremely distressed to see a photo of my Mum published on your social media page after her death. A permission form was signed on 2 occasions to disallow any publication of photos on all social media platforms whilst a resident. And yet a photo has been posted after her death. You have also taken a full month of fees from her after her death which we still await the repayment. The length of time this has taken, the amount of communication that has been required has caused untold distress to a grieving relative.
I am offering a review on your relationship with family carer (and former power of attorney) at the time of a bereavement. Your contract states that on the death of a relative you only pay for up to 3 days. However, in my experience you continued to take a full payment of over 6.5k for a room we no longer occupied and 4 months later you have not refunded us the money and are now saying we have to wait a further 40-60 days. I think you should make this 6 month delay to refund for a service you did not provide, absolutely clear to all new residents and carers. We also signed the permission agreement that no photos were to be shared of our relative on any of your platforms. And yet on the 22nd September, you posted an image of my relative on your social media page when they had died 2 weeks earlier. This was unprofessional, unethical, and hurtful and we are still awaiting your formal written apology. Please inform relatives and POA, your photo permission form is not followed.
Arranged to visit resident and to bring Holy Communion to share with a friend. Requested that resident be, if possible, up and dressed. Arrived and was welcomed by music from the piano and singing - a happy occasion. My friend was looking lovely, up and ready by first floor team, hair done and the activities manager was playing the piano (very good musician) and offered to play hymns on the organ. He offered the use of the cinema, next door to have a quiet place for communion. A wonderful welcome, thoughtful, kind, imaginative, caring and delightful time was given. Warmest thanks - five stars.
Today Trinity House Care Home staff treated our relative to a wonderful birthday party in the piano lounge. All twelve guests were made most welcome and the tea, sandwiches, cakes and birthday cake were delicious and beautifully presented. In addition, we were treated to some lovely piano playing. We cannot thank the staff enough.
I visit once or twice a week and have noticed that he is very often unshaven or not dressed ie: still in pj's and seems his teeth look unbrushed. Do they ever go on outings? I don't think so, maybe a walk in the park would be good for him, sitting dressed in an anorak on warm days. He seems happy enough. His mail, when I checked it, was mostly unopened. That is sad and think the staff should open his mail and read it to him.
Very good, looked after and cared for.
My dad is very difficult and the staff have been amazing. He had a major birthday yesterday and they put on a small tea party for him, even though he didn't want any fuss. It was just family and was really lovely.
Since my mother-in-law arrived at Trinity House after two months in hospital, she has blossomed with their care, friendliness and professionalism. Within a couple of days, she knew her carers' names, had a haircut and the lovely surroundings lifted her spirits and she is eating better. (Eating was a real problem in the hospital). A quick tour for me would have been nice.
The staff are all very good, nothing against them. Well taken care of. My feelings are all to the right.
I like living here. The staff are very nice.
