My dad aged 90 after a 3-month stay in hospital was admitted to Murrayside. I have been delighted with his care. He appears to be settling in well. All staff from administration, housekeeping, maintenance, nursing and carers have made us all feel welcome. His care is person-centred and exemplary. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. We now enjoy quality time, and he is safe and well-looked after. I would highly recommend Murrayside.

My mum moved to Murrayside after years of being 100% sure she never wanted to go into a care home. Mum realised, however, that the time had come when she couldn't cope at home herself any more and daycare support here and there just wasn't enough. That she settled so quickly and has at no time had any desire to return home is a testament to the fantastic job the staff at Murrayside have done in helping Mum settle. It has been seamless. She is happy and relaxed (with the angst of living alone with dementia having left her face), is fitter and is so enjoying the company and varied activities as well as the support of the professional, caring and fun staff. She is loving having lots of new pals who are in the same boat as she is. When I visit Mum, she loves to go upstairs to the coffee shop. It is a joy to see her happy again and feeling safe and without worries. I just attended a review today of her first few weeks, and could fault nothing!

My sister moved into Murrayside Care Home on November 18th 2024. Her 3 daughters organised the move, they are my nieces. We all live in the area. The actual move happened quickly after our decision that a move for safety and care was needed. We had an orientation visit along with my sister and by ourselves. On the visit with my sister, while admiring the facility suddenly realized that it was "her" who would be there, she protested, staff and manager coped with this well helping us as a family too with her anger towards her daughters. One month on, now my sister has settled well, joined in activities and making friends. We are free to visit. So far so good. She is happy and safe.

I cannot recommend Murrayside highly enough. The exceptional care is not just reserved for the resident but is also extended to guests. All the staff are caring, warm and approachable and the atmosphere is very much that of an extended family.

Murrayside Care Home has been exemplary in their care for my relative. After living at home with dementia for five years, a recent hospital visit highlighted the need for full-time care. From the moment I first met the staff at Murrayside, the care and support provided have been outstanding. Despite initially being reluctant to move into a care home, my relative has settled in very well. During our most recent visit, we were delighted to see her happier than she has been in a long time. Knowing she is safe is reassuring, but seeing her genuinely happy means so much more. I am deeply grateful for the exceptional care and compassion shown by everyone at Murrayside.

As with other families, we tried to support Mum living at home for as long as we could. Unfortunately, her health in recent months culminated in hospital admission and returning home was not an option. The fact that my aunt and I live some distance away seemed an additional imperative to finding residential nursing care where we could be reassured that Mum would be well looked after. From the time that I viewed Murrayside, I have been impressed at the connection and respect between staff and residents, whatever their care needs and abilities. Mum requires regular care and attention. Staff see to her needs with care and respect, communicating with warmth and humour which helps her maintain dignity in spite of her circumstances and requirements. All staff, whatever their role, have been welcoming and supportive and take time to answer any questions that we have. It is so lovely to know that Mum is settled, content and well cared for here.

I cannot recommend Murrayside highly enough. The staff are highly professional and efficient at all levels as well as friendly and welcoming to both residents and visitors, alike. My mother moved in a month ago and is extremely happy in her new home. Thank you to all the team at Murrayside!

My family agreed, earlier in the summer, that the time had come to consider placing my wife in full-time care. My daughter and daughter-in-law volunteered to research and visit residences. From the outset, the staff members at Murrayside were approachable and wholly understanding of our needs. The facility looked very impressive. Modern, bright and welcoming. We were delighted when a room became available. At a time when such a decision is difficult, distressing and life-changing, the support has been sympathetic, positive and reassuring. Since my wife took up residence in Murrayside all we hoped for has been fulfilled. The staff are professional, supportive and, best of all, incredibly caring. My wife is settled,well cared for and kept entertained in so far as she is able. Whilst there will always be regrets, Murrayside and its staff have made the move so much easier. Thank you.

All the staff at Murrayside are extremely kind, caring, friendly and professional and attend to my aunt's every need. My aunt moved into Murrayside in March 2024 with very poor mental health and was diagnosed with dementia. With the exceptional care and support that she receives around the clock the transformation in her is amazing and heartwarming to see. She settled in so well and is so much happier, and calmer and enjoys life to the full! She absolutely loves all the wonderful activities put on in the home daily, they have their own minibus which my aunt really looks forward to the weekly trip. The hair salon and cafe are brilliant and she enjoys sitting in the gardens and out on the balcony. The staff are all extremely helpful and I receive regular updates about my aunt, together with amazing photos/updates on their app. The facilities at Murrayside are outstanding and maintained to a very high standard and the care is second to none, so without a doubt I recommend Murrayside.

After a four-month stay in the hospital, we realised my mother was no longer able to look after herself. I looked at many care homes in Edinburgh and the 3 in the Care UK group stood out, head and shoulders above the rest. My mother moved to Murrayside Care Home at the end of April and it is heartwarming to see how well she has settled in. The staff are wonderful and the activities plentiful and fun. I will be booking a room in there for myself when the time comes!

The staff are always very friendly and professional and we can have confidence that my father-in-law is well supported, safe and properly cared for. Clean environment and a good range of activities and outings which are well organised and administered. The cafe facility is a useful gathering point for us to provide a change of scenery from his room or the lounge.

My 98-year-old Mum had come up to stay with us for Christmas but contracted a chest infection on Christmas Day and had to be hospitalised for a number of weeks. She agreed that it was best for her to move into a care home near where we lived. We visited a number of care homes and chose Murrayside because it had a very nice and friendly atmosphere, was modern, professional and relaxed. On her first day of arrival from hospital, she was welcomed at the front door by the manager and other members of staff and made to feel very welcome. Despite her various health and dietary challenges the team at Murrayside have constantly adapted their approach, getting to know my Mum's likes and dislikes. We receive weekly updates on the activities ahead and I am kept up to date with any medical care needs and changes required by her, the nurse on her floor and the management team are also closely involved with my Mum through our monthly catch-ups.

My 99-year-old auntie had managed to stay in her own home with carers attending but after several falls and hospital stays she reluctantly agreed it was no longer safe for her to return home. I was aware of the home living quite near so my brother and I arranged a tour with the Customer Relations Manager and were immediately impressed with the exceptional standard and lovely atmosphere within the home. She was very professional and friendly and fully explained everything we needed to know. My auntie moved in at the beginning of January and has settled in well. All the staff are so friendly, helpful and caring and nothing is too much trouble for them. We are very happy with the level of care she is receiving. We are kept up to date with any medical care she needs. The home focuses on a variety of activities for the residents and we are informed of these and her engagement in them. We now have peace of mind that she is safe and being well looked after.

Mum has just moved into Murrayside Care Home and is settling in really well. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. It is reassuring to see Mum interacting with staff and other residents, joining in activities and making friends. The home is always spotless and it is evident that the staff are working hard to keep it that way. The cafe on the top floor is a great place to go with Mum during a visit to see her. A lovely idea! As a family, we are delighted with the care and attention Mum is receiving. The transition period has been seamless - thank you Murrayside!

Mum moved into Murrayside Care Home in September 2023. 89 years old and with (still) relatively mild dementia, she came to recognise that staying at home was becoming more and more difficult. Moving to somewhere new, after nearly sixty years in her house, was obviously a challenge and my brother and I were very impressed with the help for this transition from all of the team at Murrayside. The attitude of all those we have had contact with is so positive and solution-oriented that despite neither of us living locally, we feel reassured that this was the correct decision. We have frequent contact with the staff. Mum takes part in many activities (and we're kept updated via the app) and also enjoys her room which is bright and very well decorated, as is the whole home. All in all, a very positive start in a fantastic atmosphere, where she is happy.

My mum moved into Murrayside Care Home at the end of August and has simply gone from strength to strength. Over the past twelve months, Mum had deteriorated significantly and we had thought keeping her at home with live-in care was the best solution for her however after yet another hospital stay, it was clear she couldn't go home and that finding the right care home for her was the next step. I was keen to find somewhere that Mum would fit in and which felt right for her and from the very first visit, it was clear that Murrayside was where we wanted her to go. She arrived the day before her 85th birthday and after a lovely birthday tea with family, she has settled in incredibly well. The staff are exceptional, the facilities are just lovely and myself and the rest of the family have felt incredibly well informed of Mum's medical and social care. I honestly cannot believe we have been so lucky to find somewhere that Mum is so happy. In her own words, 'I'm exceptionally happy'.

My 92-year-old aunt moved into the care home after a prolonged stay in hospital. After only three weeks I can physically see that she is managing to move more steadily and has better hand dexterity. I believe this is mostly due to the care and support she has initially received which has allowed her to relax and feel more confident. My aunt has always been a very sociable person and is quickly making friends with both residents and carers during the many and varied activities. She has very quickly called it her 'home' and was delighted that she could make her room very personal with items that she cherishes. I have found all staff to be happy, caring, and professional which means the home has a really lovely warm atmosphere. I have been kept well informed of both the medical and social care of my aunt which has all helped to make the difficult decision of her moving into care a less stressful and happier experience.

My husband has moved here recently after 3 months in hospital and I have been delighted with the care he receives. The staff are friendly and go out of their way to speak to me when I visit. He needs a lot of help and is completely dependent on the staff for his care. I feel an enormous weight has been lifted of my shoulders and I can return to being his wife instead of full-time carer. I enjoy my visits.

Our experience of Murrayside Care Home, from initial contact to my mother moving in, has been terrific. The home is an exceptional standard and all the staff are very caring and very friendly. Nothing is too much trouble for the residents or family. We are extremely happy with the level of care that my mother is receiving. The staff have been very accommodating to ensure that she has settled in.

My mother moved to Murrayside two months ago as she no longer felt safe living unsupported many miles from her family. We liked Murrayside as it was new and fresh, had pleasant outdoor spaces, and because of the welcome and professionalism of the staff we met. An enormous upheaval for my mother (moving from the West Midlands where she has always lived), she has settled well. It's no fun being very old but the care and activities staff are exceptionally kind and upbeat and this makes a real difference to residents' well-being. My mother is able to participate in activities both within and outside the home and enjoys walking in the garden. Staff go out of their way to respond constructively to her requests and we have the reassurance of knowing that she is well-cared for and safe.
