View Full Details of Brendoncare Otterbourne MewsMy mother has been a resident at Otterbourne Hill for just over a year. Her needs are quite demanding as she cannot undertake many tasks herself, i.e personal hygiene etc and needs hoisting as she cannot stand herself unaided. The carers have to be commended for their hard work, patience, dedication and true commitment to their role, not forgetting the very hard-working nurses and admin staff who are always on hand to encourage and reassure both residents and family.
The level of care and understanding shown to both my father and mother (in-laws) in both the apartments and now the care home, has been second to none. Indeed exceptional. The understanding and support shown to relatives is also incredible. Over the past 2 months, both parents have spent time in hospital and the attention shown on their return has greatly increased the speed of their recovery. A massive thank you to all of the team.
As a close relative, I cannot emphasise enough the positive impact that this move to Otterbourne has made to my aunt's well-being and quality of life. All members of staff including those making initial arrangements for her move, the management and finance team, nursing staff, carers, reception staff, activity coordinators, chefs, maintenance and domiciliary staff work as a close professional team to ensure my aunt has the best experiences every day. The staff are knowledgeable and professional and are always on hand to chat and reassure us as a family. We know my aunt is in safe hands and that all her needs are being met. My aunt is now safe and happy in the company of other lovely residents whom she meets at lunchtime in the restaurant (the food is outstanding) and during the varied activity programme. This is a safe and wonderful place to live where people can enjoy life and where we can rely on staff at all times to care for our relative. We cannot express our gratitude to the outstanding team at Otterbourne.
