View Full Details of The Chadwick Care HomeMy dad was a resident from September 2023 to September 2024, it was a very tough decision to move Dad into a care home but I can honestly say it was the best decision we made. They have been absolutely amazing to Dad and have looked after him so well. The staff have all been so supportive and helpful. Always making us so at home. I would definitely recommend The Chadwick to anyone.
I am happy and content and feel attended to. Staff are very respectful. Also the manager has gone out of her way to help me.
My 92-year-old aunt is a recent resident at The Chadwick. Having suffered a stroke in November 2023 she has been in 3 hospitals and 2 nursing homes. I wanted to find a home for her that was a home. The Chadwick hugs you as you walk in and the care and management is amazing. They have worked wonders with my aunt and after almost 6 months of being bedbound she now enjoys visits within the care home in a wheelchair to the lounge, dining area and the garden. She has been given her dignity back and is very happy in herself. A fantastic place with happy residents.
I am very happy here at The Chadwick, happy with staff and manager, all the residents happy, very lucky, this was the best decision I have made.
My mother, aged 97 years, has now sadly passed away recently after being a resident at The Chadwick Care Home since its opening five years ago. Though I regularly visited Mum, living abroad as I do, the staff in my absence became family to her. Very recently, my mother’s health declined due to frailty of old age. The end-of-life care given to my mum during her passing was outstanding. The care and compassion shown by Mum’s carers gave me huge comfort as everything imaginable was thought of and I was constantly updated. Mum’s carers went the extra mile and more, staying with her when they were off duty and caring for her also after her passing. They have been so very kind and I cannot adequately express my gratitude enough to all those who cared for my mum during her years at The Chadwick. Thanks must also go to management for being flexible with my arrangements to fly to the U.K. Everyone has done their utmost to help. Thank you so much. If you are considering care for your loved one, recommended.
I was very nervous about moving my mother from a different lovely care home, but it was the right thing to do. They were well prepared for her arrival and she settled in very quickly. Carers are cheerful and encourage her to do more for herself. Intimate care is very respectful and dignified. I am not a frequent visitor as I live away but I am so impressed that the staff at The Chadwick recognised me straight away and are ready to give me feedback about my mother. Staff I have not before are welcoming and I am very happy with my decision.
The staff are all amazing, looking after Mum, knowing she is loved and cared for is so good to know. Every time I visit Mum is always happy.
I find the Chadwick Care Home is overall a happy and safe place to live. The manager is very caring, knows all the residents and talks to them about their needs. She frequently leaves her desk to observe what is going on. Residents know that they talk to her-she is very approachable. Staff seem to like her and take her suggestions on board. The food is good and the entertainment staff arrange activities to help the stay go quickly.
I can’t thank them enough for all the help they have given my mother, it has given us peace of mind to know she is well taken care of. We wouldn’t have been able to cope with all her health issues caused by dementia. They all have so much patience with her and are trying so hard to make her life less stressful.
My wife is in care at The Chadwick Care Home and she is totally blind and is very unwell. She is 70 years old. She is treated with great dignity and well cared for at all times. The management is very caring and kind to all in the home and have been good to me and my wife. That is a good thing in this day and age, for all to look up to the best. "My love to all".
My 95-year grandmother has moved into The Chadwick Care Home, staff and the nursing team are exceptionally polite, professional, patient, happy and smiling all the time. The home is kept clean and very well maintained at all times, staff have empathy. The activities on offer for Nan are created with kindness and compassion and residents can join in at their leisure. The catering options available are made with care and attention. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone, we have been supported by a great team.
I honestly can’t praise The Chadwick Care Home enough. They go above and beyond for my Nan and she wouldn’t be where she is today if it wasn’t for them and their amazing care team. They treat my Nan like their own and encourage her every day to get up into the lounge and join in all the fun. This means so much to us as a family as she has the best time when she gives in and gets out of her room. All the team are always so lovely, friendly and attentive. Nan is always well seen to with all her caring needs so promptly and nicely. All the staff always have a smile and the management team are always going out of their way to make sure Nan is thriving. Thank you Chadwick. I will recommend you to all my family and friends x
My 96 year old father was resident at The Chadwick for several weeks recently, initially on a respite basis. I would like to make it public how much he told me and my brother-he felt both safe and very well cared for by all at the home. Without mentioning names, it is readily apparent that there are excellent members of staff working at the home who genuinely care and do their best for the residents. I would recommend the home to anybody needing such care and like to express my family's gratitude for all of their efforts in relation to my dear father.
The only grumble I have is that most of your guests cut their musical teeth in the 60s and yet the speaker is playing Vera Lynn and Max Bygraves. I hope to drop in a few playlists soon. Your staff, however, are amazing, nothing is too much for them.
Mum came to The Chadwick Care Home in November 2022. She has recently passed away. In the time she was a resident the carers looked after her so well. They were very kind and treated her with dignity and respect. I felt like they genuinely cared about her as an individual. Towards the end of her life they were particularly supportive and were with her at the very end which is a source of great comfort to me. The home is warm and welcoming and very comfortable. I would highly recommend The Chadwick to anyone looking for a home for their loved one.
I couldn't have asked for a better service of care for my mum. The carers provide a combination of professionalism and personal care, which gives me peace of mind, knowing that Mum is so well cared for. Thank you.
What a wonderful home and what wonderful staff! I really cannot praise this home, the staff, and our overall experience highly enough. Everyone is efficient but so very kind, and they make time to care for their residents. Whilst they are efficient, and professional, the warmth and love of their jobs come through on every level. They treat their residents as people, understanding and listening to their needs, watching and anticipating changes in behavior. They really do get 'person-centered care'. The staff within the home and wider group offer advice and support to families and we have greatly benefitted from their recent dementia tour, as well as lectures on a general understanding of dementia and how to cope. The outreach into the community and are always on hand to answer questions or give advice. Thank you from our family.
Dad had the most wonderful stay here whilst we were on holiday. The manager and her team went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable throughout his stay, with excellent food and facilities. Dad loved the gym and sitting in the garden area. Thank you so very, very much. See you again in the summer.
When my father walked out and did not return for 36 hours, everyone was really concerned for his wellbeing. After 3 hours, at the beginning, they phoned me to tell me of the situation and thereafter, they were in constant contact with me, along with the police, with updates on the searches. I cannot praise them enough for their professionalism and personnel, even in their own time (off duty) phone calls, keeping me informed and offering support to me and in turn, to the family, until he was found safe and well.
Firstly I must say that the staff at the Chadwick are brilliant and care so much for their residents, they are working in very difficult times. I tried to have a chat with my old ma who suffers from dementia, COPD, arthritis and other problems, I tried 6 times today to get to speak to her but was either told it was not convenient or no one picked up the phone on the floor or the phone just rang off even before a receptionist had answered. My brother phoned x amounts of times on Sunday and when he did get through to the floor was told that there was only 1 person manning that unit and could not pass the phone over to mum! All those poorly residents and 1 person to help them? Something is seriously wrong and it needs to be looked into.
