View Full Details of Braeburn LodgeThe team at Braeburn are just BRILLIANT they do a wonderful job of looking after each and every person in the home. It is like a home away from home. My great-grandfather has really settled in and is very happy there. The staff know what he loves and what he dislikes and they take care of all his needs. We know he is in safe hands - given my great-grandfather is 103 years of age it is such a relief to know he is looked after. A big thanks to the team.
My partner lives in this care home and she suffers with anxiety, the staff have gone above and beyond to make sure my partner doesn't want for anything.my partner has settled in well and loves staying there
All staff are very friendly and already have gone above and beyond in welcoming Mum into their care. In particular, during a recent room swap, a member of staff rearranged the new room upon request (the same day) to provide more space and to also help reduce Mum's anxiety about change. It is still early days but presently I feel very happy with my Mother's care and surroundings.
Went to see my friend's mum on an impromptu Friday in January 2025, what a gem of a find. Fabulous little care home, very friendly and super clean, great gardens too, lovely to see such happy residents.
Wonderful care home. Since my mother became a resident, she has been surrounded by the best care and ultimately, love. Nothing is too much trouble, ideas, plans and needs are often suggested before I ask. Staff are so friendly to the guests, families and visitors. The manager, senior carer, chef, maintenance, housekeepers, everyone is involved with the residents and treat them with dignity and respect but also laugh with them and have fun. Residents are entertained on a daily basis with in-house activities, crafts, baking and a 'theme week' occurs nearly every week of the year! Trips out are a frequent occurrence, treats are encouraged. This is now my mum's safe space, she is happy and content and wants for nothing. A brilliant place, five stars from me!
My grandmother has been a resident at Braeburn Lodge for nearly four years now. The care she receives is exemplary and second to none. The home is small, so it really is like a family home, all the residents dine together round a large dining table which really adds to the family feel. The residents lead such an active lifestyle, going out to various clubs and activities multiple times a week and if they're not on a trip out, there is always something going on in the home to keep them busy. The food is beautiful, homemade every day, including fresh cakes. As relatives, we are really made to feel part of the family and there are several events each year where we all come together as families with staff to spend time together, having a BBQ or other event. My grandmother is so happy and truly loved and exceptionally well cared for. I wouldn't consider anywhere else to look after my loved one.
The care and support my mum has received since moving to Braeburn Lodge has been excellent. The staff and management have gone over and above in taking care of my mum and helping her to adjust to being in residential care. Nothing is too much and I am very happy that my mum is in such a lovely and well-run care home.
My grandma has been at Braeburn Lodge for over six years now, the home has provided her with a homely and safe place to live where she receives all the help and care she needs. I like that it is a small care home, it always feels clean and the staff are always helpful and caring. Also, there are plenty of activities/trips out that Grandma loves to be involved in. I would definitely recommend Braeburn to anyone needing the facilities, care and comfort they offer. P.S. Thank you for all you do for Grandma!
I visited my friend at Christmas and received a warm welcome from staff and some of the residents. Beautiful ambience. Lovely homemade decorations. Always look forward to seeing my friend where she is happy and cared for so well. I would be happy to come as a resident.
A superb care home. Only 12 rooms so plenty of individual attention. Although monthly fee may appear on the high side, note that cost of toiletries, newspapers, all outings on mini bus, coffee and cake at cafes, the occasional meal out and the wonderful meals and snacks are all included. Everyone has a fuss made of them on their birthday and all events big and small are celebrated. Home from home, the best you could want. We are so happy to know mum is so well cared for.
What a beautiful home, very welcoming and warm. The staff are so lovely and helpful. You can tell that the staff always want to have a positive impact on their residents. All the residents my mother included are very happy here.
Braeburn Lodge is a small, homely care home offering the personal touch to Mum. The staff are very caring and loving and they go out of their way to make life happy and safe for Mum. They have many activities and Mum often goes out in the minibus to singing, coffee mornings and the riverside. The food is home-cooked and nutritious. I would highly recommend this home.
My mother has been a resident for about two years. The best possible care has been given to her. The staff go out of their way to be helpful and are very caring They have supported both my mother and myself through the dementia trial. I would and do recommend them 100%.
Braeburn Lodge has been a true blessing for Mum and our family. The staff are incredibly kind and compassionate, always going the extra mile to ensure her comfort and well-being. The facility is clean, inviting and well-maintained. We're particularly impressed with the variety of activities and social opportunities offered to residents. It's clear that the staff genuinely cares about each resident and we feel confident that Mum is in good hands.
My father had expected to end his days in his own home but circumstances meant this would not be possible and we are so thankful that Braeburn was recommended to us by someone with experience of their service. When given the choice recently, he wanted to stay in Braeburn. The staff are excellent at supporting a friendly, family-like atmosphere, with visitors made welcome and sharing the atmosphere. Stimulation is provided with a range of activities and I have a collection of photographs of my father in a choir, feeding swans, trying to play a drum kit (he looked the part but was definitely first timer), playing balloon tennis, being entertained by singers, visited by an owl keeper with a bird, another time two alpacas, visiting a local primary school, playing bingo - and that is what I remember! Care is excellent: fluids are monitored and recorded, health issues are attended to swiftly and we are kept informed. All of his family are so happy that he is at Braeburn.
The staff made every effort to make my aunt's remaining life as enjoyable as possible, taking her out for visits to cafés and enabling her to enjoy being outside in the home's garden. She wasn't the easiest of people to deal with due to her medical conditions but received the utmost care.
I visited my grandmother last week and was so impressed with the care that she is receiving. The manager and the staff were so lovely and very approachable. I was impressed that the home smelt so clean and inviting. The care she is receiving is excellent and she looked so happy. Can not thank the manager and staff enough for their excellent care.
My mother has been a resident since February and all members of staff have always been pleasant and welcoming whenever I visit. The garden always looks lovely, the catering staff have gone above and beyond to get the food in which my mum will eat, always clean and tidy and I am always informed if there is a change with Mum' medication or behaviour, brilliant.
My Grandpa currently resides at Braeburn and will be for the foreseeable. We, as a family, feel as though the Gods were smiling at us when he was offered a place there. Although it was emotional for everyone, all the staff could not have been more empathetic. Every visit is like going to visit him at home, but better. There's such a friendly, homely and community feel there. Mealtimes are like a family affair lovingly prepped by their extremely fun chef. There's a wide range of activities both on and off-site. The garden, in Summer, is stunning too. The staff and manager, are always available to discuss and allay any issues or queries. Most importantly, my Grandfather couldn't be happier.
Clean, caring home, giving residents a good variety of activities to participate in. Friednly, caring staff. Accomodation good, cleanliness very good.
