View Full Details of Westhill ParkI found Westhill Park Care Home in July 2023 when my mother needed more help than I could give her. Mum settled in quickly and told me how kind everyone was and her room was bright and cheerful. The team very quickly got Mum's health up and the home's own hairdresser each week keeps her looking well. She tells me frequently how happy she is. The activities each day keep her alert. In fact the team joins in wholeheartedly, making the home such a cheerful place to live and me to visit. My granddaughter enjoys visiting with me. The whole home is decorated to a high order and has changed how I expected Care Homes to be. Thank goodness!! I know I couldn't have found anywhere nicer for my mum to live her final years. Well done Home Manager and your wonderful team.
My mum has been a resident at the home for a few months now and I couldn't be happier with the level of care she receives and the weekly haircut/blow dry is a bonus!. A huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders now that she lives here and she and I both adore all of the staff who are always so happy and helpful. Finally, I love keeping up with what she's up to on the Facebook page which is updated everyday.
One of my closest friends has recently been admitted to the home. I have joined the care home's social media page. I have been amazed and delighted to see the varied and interesting activities provided for the residents. I have visited people in other homes and never have I seen so many topics covered. This leads to the residents looking happy and stimulated. It is a joy to visit her. Well done to the staff who all seem to clearly love their jobs.
Great staff and a lovely atmosphere. From day one Mum felt at home, she loves the daily activities and routine. Friends and family are able to keep in touch with everything happening in the home through social media, it's lovely to see daily images of our loved ones.
Mum has been in Westhill Park care home for over 3 years. She has received excellent care from day 1 tending to all my mums needs. Communication has been excellent and they have always kept me informed of how she is. The care team are all fantastic and I've witnessed first-hand what an amazing job they do. I wouldn't want my mum to go anywhere else.
Mum loves this and regards it as home now. The staff are always very helpful, they are always at hand to support me and answer my questions. Entertainment is varied and enjoyed by all. In fact I am often greeted with, "Oh I'm just going to bingo" or whatever is on. However, we are encouraged to participate if we want to. Lovely atmosphere and I would recommend it.
I enrolled my aunt at Westhill Park in 2020, she receives the most excellent care. She loves the room she is in and calls it her home, the staff are most caring and I get reports regularly on how my aunt's health is or, if there are any concerns. The facilities are second to none she has her hair and nails done fortnightly, which she loves because she is most particular about her appearance, daily laundry, and her meals served either in the dining room or her own room. When she is in her room for any length of time the careers pop in to see if she needs anything or even a cup of tea. She loves the activities, she has taken up knitting again, they even bought her a carpet golf set to play to remind her of the days she was a golfer. Regarding care, you could not wish for better careers they all go that extra mile and nothing is too much trouble for them. The management staff under the manager provide excellent service keeping the home running as 'a tight ship'.
I just wanted to let you know how highly my family rates Westhill Park Care Home. My parents both moved in about 3 years ago, my mother has since died, and my father is now coming to the end of his life. I live south of Cambridge and about 5 months ago we moved Dad from Kettering to a care home very close to me so it would be much easier for me to see him. He's since moved back to Westhill Park - there was nothing wrong with the care home near here, but it was a world away from Westhill. As Dad says, he feels like he's part of a family at Westhill, rather than just a patient, and the love he has received at Westhill from the carers and other staff has been amazing. Dad was so pleased to move back into Westhill - on the day he moved back in, he joked about being covered in bruises because he'd had so many hugs from the staff welcoming him back! Both he and the family are extremely grateful for the care he is receiving, and for the warmth he receives from everyone. Many thanks.
As a family, we have been so grateful for the care Mum has received at Westhill. It has been such a relief for us to know her medical needs are cared for as well as general wellbeing and everyday needs. The daily activities are so important to keep residents stimulated and at Westhill, it can range from crafts, live music to animal visits. The staff are amazing and become like friends to the residents. Mum unfortunately finds it hard now to socialise with the other residents but the staff always give her the option to join in activities and it's so good when we see that they have persuaded her to get out of her room and enjoy music, and the odd crafts for example. As a family, we are so happy to have found Westhill Care Home.
I continue to remain impressed by the care received by my mother at Westhill Park. My mother suffers from advanced dementia but is always treated with dignity, patience and kindness. This month my mother celebrated her birthday and whilst she lacks the capacity to appreciate fully the significance of such occasions, she was made to feel special and all of the staff made sure that she enjoyed the day. More recently, she was 'resident of the day' and was treated to some extra treats. It is clear to me that the staff know my mother well and are able to provide bespoke care, whilst recognising her likes and dislikes. Her recent care review was conducted thoroughly and professionally and this, too, is a source of comfort and reassurance to me.
My aunt has settled in beautifully at Westhill. She is happy and relaxed. Enjoying the food, the busy schedule of fun things to do. The staff are very friendly both to residents and families and make us feel very welcome. I would recommend to anybody who is looking for a modern, clean friendly busy place to introduce their family member to, this is the place. Well done Westhill, and thank you.
A great home with fantastic, professional and caring staff. Mum is very happy and feels safe knowing that there is always someone close by to help. Although she suffers with some memory issues the staff will always pop in a remind her what's going on each day as she loves all the activities and enjoys joining in. She says that 'while getting old isn't ideal, obviously I'm still living my best life!' The manager and senior staff are knowledgeable, friendly, committed and helpful, and the carers are really dedicated to the resident's comfort and wellbeing. As a family, we're always welcomed and feel part of the team. Would recommend it without hesitation.
Westhill Park has been the ideal choice for my loved ones. The care and respect that was given to my mum was excellent. The staff are angels, so helpful, friendly and caring, they have supported me through some very difficult times over the last 3 years and for that, I will be forever grateful. My auntie, neighbour and father-in-law have all been residents and my mother-in-law has now settled in extremely well, far better than we ever expected. Thank you to all the staff.
My aunt has been a resident at Westhill Park since January 2019. She has multiple medical needs and these have changed and deteriorated over the years. Westhill have always managed to accommodate these changing needs and seems to take it in their stride as they go. Staff are friendly and approachable and my Aunt is always clean and her room spotless. There seem to be lots of activities which residents can choose to attend or not. I worry sometimes that my aunt can be 'forgotten' as she is mostly in her room with only TV as company but on visits she seems happy in herself. The home itself is kept in good order, very clean and has a nice small wrap-around garden.
My brother-in-law's residence at Westhill Park is highlighted by the exceptional care and attention he receives. Excellent food is available and a wide range of activities are to be found to occupy him. Comfortable accommodation with social facilities ensures a home-from-home feeling and he has adjusted remarkably well. I cannot praise the management and staff more highly for what they do often seeming to go above and beyond their professionalism. I am so grateful to all knowing his welfare is secure. Thank you.
Mum has been living at Westhill Park since 2020. We are so pleased she enjoys living there. The staff are friendly, kind and genuinely seem to love our mum. What more can we ask for? She is cared for extremely well. Thank you to all the hugely hardworking staff.
As my dear friend needed full-time/24-hour care - I carefully selected this home for him. He was recently widowed and having Alzheimer’s could no longer live at home without his wife caring for him. This home and all the staff cater for all of my friend's needs fully, often going above and beyond. The home is beautiful, clean and organised. There are choices of appropriate activities to keep all busy every day. The food and dining areas are hotel-standard. The main thing for us is the caring, friendly, helpful staff - from management right through to domestics.
What absolute angels you all are at Westhill Park. How brilliant to see mum out at West Lodge Farm with you today. A couple of times recently she wouldn't even leave the lounge to talk to us and refused point blank to a car ride one sunny afternoon, so to see her out today....Brilliant!
Westhill provides really good care for my dad and he is very happy there. The carers and everyone else who works there all go above and beyond and all our family are made to feel welcome when we visit. They do lovely activities for the residents and their families.
The staff are always so friendly and willing to help and you can visit anytime to suit yourself. The food menus are varied and the food is always very well presented. Mum doesn’t eat a lot but always remarks on how good the food is. My Mum loves it here and thinks it’s the “Best Hotel” in Kettering. What she really enjoys is the time that all the residents spend together and then she can go back to her own comfy room when she’s ready.
