View Full Details of Newton House Care HomeSince my Dad has been in the care of your home, I am happy and relieved, and now not as worried as I was when he was living alone. I can honestly say all of the staff are amazing and give everything they do for my Dad 110%, no matter what level the help is! Dad is still in the settling down period, which can be hard for us all, but we know now that Dad is safe and looked after 24 hours a day. Dad enjoys it when we take him out on the vastly different places he can choose from in the minibus and also likes us to take him out separately, even just for lunch/dinner! I do believe Dad has so much more social life than he would have at home, and we all enjoy that (not just Dad!). I am so happy we managed to get Dad a room in your beautiful home, as I don't think we could or would have picked a better Care Home for our much loved 'daddy'. Again, I can't thank you all enough! The whole team are amazing!
Dad has now been in Newton House for 10 weeks now, he took a little time to settle but with the loving, caring support of all the wonderful management and staff he has settled well. The home is immaculate and the food choices varied and all homemade and Dad has had no complaints! Dad is thriving - he is happy, well-looked after and well-fed. The communication with all the staff is open and honest and nothing is too much trouble - any initial concerns/issues have been dealt with professionally and efficiently. The range of weekly activities and outings is fabulous and includes all hobbies/interests and the staff who go out of their way to know each resident's likes and dislikes ensure everyone is included. Newton House is just like one big happy family and we are very pleased to continue to be a part of that.
Newton House Care Home is outstanding. Not only basic care but the extra activities offered to residents. As a family, we feel the care and needs of the residents are bespoke to each individual and there is a huge focus on person-centred care. There are several sitting areas and gardens to sit in with other residents and family when visiting. All the staff are professional, friendly and extremely caring. We could not be happier with the care here for my husband.
Cannot fault the staff for the care they give my mum, she has a great relationship with them and they look after her very well. Her reaction when she sees them shows this. The staff member of reception always goes out of her way to make her laugh. Such a credit to Newton House. The trips are also a huge favourite of my mum's and seeing her enjoy the with the driver is lovely.
Since my husband took up residence in Newton House I have always found the staff and management very helpful and supportive to my husband and extremely attentive to my husband's needs.
My overall experience has been good, however, the food is very bland, unseasoned and for me tasteless. Also, I like a particular cereal or granola, they can offer neither, curries don't even taste like curry.
Brother-in-law came in December 2023. His care is superb, the staff are a huge credit to this company with their care and friendliness. Home is very clean and tidy. Plenty of activities for residents.
Really pleased with the care and attention my husband receives. All staff are friendly and helpful. It's reassuring to know he is happy and settled.
My husband has been in Newton House Care Home for just a few weeks now. In that time, I have found myself relaxing, secure in the knowledge that the care he is being given is of the highest standard. He is safe and being well looked after. I have every faith in the management team, who appear to me to be doing an excellent job of running a caring, compassionate and professional team of staff in a very busy environment.
My great aunt has recently moved to Newton House and I visited earlier this month. It was a lovely home with very friendly staff and residents - everyone took the time to chat. There are always social events happening and my great aunt seems very happy and settled there.
I am extremely satisfied with the level of care provided at Newton House with a few small areas of feedback. Stimulation of residents could be more proactive. All staff should display name badges at all times. The visibility of staff at weekends requires review. Activity programme to be better communicated in advance. Involvement of family in activities should be considered in a more planned way.
Visited a few times. Staff were warm and inviting. Residents were always smiling and chatty and looked very much at home. The manager was approachable and chatty. Very homely feeling. The home is bright and airy and has plenty of cosy and private area. The rooms are large and spacious. Lovely home.
Looked after great. Meals are great and cooked for me. Staff superb.
My husband has been in this care home for almost three years, though it has had challenges the staff have worked very hard to ensure that residents have had the best care they could give. My husband is very settled there and both of us are treated with respect and dignity by all staff. They are very aware of his needs and cope with his dementia very well.
We are very happy with the range of activities available to my aunt and the support she receives in improving her mobility. The garden area is a real bonus in the summer months allowing socialisation time.
My husband has been in Newton House for just over a year (December 2022) to date. Lots of changes in that time especially with care staff. Language with staff is difficult, for them and us.
Our elderly aunt has resided at Newton House for over two years. We have found this care home to be a fantastic place for her. The staff are very friendly and caring. There are lots of things organised for the residents too, both within the home and outings in the mini bus. Staff are all very approachable re any minor issues that may arise. The building itself is modern with great facilities including a cinema, café, hairdressing room and gardens.
Since my mum went into care in January 2023 at Newton House my family and I have been delighted and thankful for the wonderful care given to her by all of the excellent staff looking after her. Especially happy with the range of activities and interactions given to residents.
My experience of my father's care here at Newton House has been very good. The staff are very attentive to his needs and treat him with care and dignity. I am very impressed and feel he is in a safe place.
My sister has been a resident for a year. When first admitted to the home there were lots of deficiencies with a great turnover of staff which had a detrimental effect on the level of care provided. Now after the placement of the new manager and the recruitment of staff, there has been a substantial improvement of care delivered. Impressed by the level of activities arranged by the well-being and lifestyle coach. The manager has had a refreshing effect on the organisation and turned the home around. Overall a good improvement, hoping that it continues.
