View Full Details of Dane View Care Home with NursingI visited my friend today. I was in the home for 90 minutes and during that time I met several caregivers. Every single person I met was kind and gentle. My friend is well cared for, her room is perfectly clean and I am relieved that she is there being looked after so well. My thanks go to everyone who works there ensuring the well-being of the residents.
Care of service users is given with love and care. Residents are looked after with dignity as a top priority. Meals are top quality and the rooms are clean and spacious. It's very reassuring to have permanent nursing staff as part of the care team. All carers are trained to a high standard. I'm so pleased and relieved in the knowledge that my husband is loved and cared for by the staff at Dane View Care Home.
The home is very caring and the staff are wonderful including management. It is well run with good communication and loads of care are great. The premises are as clean as they can be, and the rooms are very adequate. Training is given regularly and the staff are approachable and try to engage in activities as much as possible with service users, the best facilities and staff from those we have used in our experience.
My mum was moved to the care home at very short notice. The staff made my Mum so welcome. Her room was all prepared beautifully and everything had been thought about including some flowers. All the staff came and introduced themselves to us and Mum. On what was a very traumatic evening I left feeling Mum was in safe hands. It is still early days but the help and support we have received has been amazing. I feel my mum will be well looked after whilst navigating this journey.
My Mum entered this care home in February-April 2024 after a fall at home and hospital care. When I entered this care home without an appointment to see what it was like, I was amazed, it was clean, tidy a buzzing atmosphere of happiness, the staff all greeted me as if they’d known me for months, it was such a friendly atmosphere and everybody who works there took time to get to know my Mum and her needs. With being blind and not being able to stand or walk, this became quite a worrying time for my Mum. But with care and attention from each member of staff, she soon became comfortable and happy with each of them. The care is the best care I have known within the care home system, my Mum has been in several for respite over the last few years and this care Home to me is outstanding. All members of staff would take time to talk and listen I wasn’t just another relative entering to visit, they always made me feel welcome and I cannot recommend this care home enough.
I find the home, staff, and food excellent. Very helpful and kind to residents.
My mum has been a resident at Dane View for over 4 years now Although she took a long time to settle, she seems happy and comfortable now. The standard of care meets my mum's needs. My mum has built up a good rapport with the majority of staff here. Staff are friendly and helpful although their response time could be better at times. I currently have no issues with my mum's care. I would recommend taking residents out in the grounds more often.
My husband transferred to the Butterfly Unit at Dane View in December 2022. All the staff made him feel very welcome and comfortable giving him space to adjust to his new surroundings. The staff have been so patient and caring with him, building his trust with them, has enabled him to engage positively and for them to care for all his needs. The staff are always willing to talk to me particularly when I need a shoulder to cry on and talk to me about my husband's day and activities. They make sure his changing needs are assessed continuously so that they are providing the best possible care at all times. The home manager recently allowed me to use a room at the home so we could celebrate my husband’s birthday with family and friends, this was so appreciated. The staff are always willing to go the extra mile to support my husband and our family. Thank you to the manager and all the staff particularly in the Butterfly Unit.
My husband arrived to a very warm welcome, as did I. His room is very spacious with plenty of storage and an en suite. The staff are very helpful and caring, nothing is too much trouble. The management again are very helpful and they are a hands on management team, they do not just stay in the office. I would say, all in all, this care home is excellent and very well managed.
My auntie has Alzheimer's and is 98. She has been treated with dignity and respect. The staff have been accommodating when we visit (especially as we are two hours away) my cousin visits weekly. We have been kept informed of her condition at all times (especially during end-of-life care). Whilst her room is adequate, en suite facilities would be helpful. My auntie has been happy here and loves the staff she feels secure and safe.
My mum moved to Dane View from a previous home in October 2022 and her care has been really good, she mixes with other residents everyday. She is well looked after, the staff are all friendly. The home is always clean and tidy.
The management and all the staff, including cleaners to the nurses, were fantastic. They all treated my relative with dignity and respect, they were kind and nothing was too much trouble. They all made her feel as at home as possible and right up to the end of her life were fantastic. I would recommend Dane View, especially for end of life care, highly.
I really think this is a beautiful home with lovely staff. The staff are very chatty, which is really good and nice. I spoke to the manager who was so helpful and so lovely, sorted things out as soon as possible for my mum. My mum is happier there than the other home she was in, so thank you to the staff and manager for looking after my mum so well.
My mum was taken into Dane View in November 2020. The care she has received has been exemplary. She was treated with respect, kindness and dignity until her last day. Management and staff always attentive, easy to talk to and friendly. Thank you to all.
We placed Mum in a care home when her dementia became so advanced she needed full-time care. Mum lived at Dane View Care Home in Leicester for over two years and my brother and I could not have been happier with our choice and would highly recommend Dane View to friends and family. I can't praise the staff highly enough, they have been absolutely amazing, so patient and caring with Mum and supportive of the family. On top of this, the home is always spotless which was very important to Mum.
Mum has been at Dane View since August 2020 as in most cases like ours we were unsure where would be the best place for her care and well-being, for her early-stage dementia. We have been so pleased with our choice, as the staff and especially the management has given mum the upmost care possible 24/7. Dane View is a wonderful care home, well equipped and a fantastic place where we know mum is extremely happy.
It has been a challenging time for both staff and residents but they have come through with flying colours - and no covid 19. An achievement in itself. This reflects the care and attention to the safety of everyone. My stepmother has been so well looked after and the staff couldn't have done more for her. She was, like the other residents, treated like a member of a large, caring family. Sadly she died recently but they were with her and looked out for her always.
My mum was end-of-life at Dane View, and the dignity, care and respect she received were second to none. The carers and nurses went the extra mile giving her a bouquet of flowers for her room in her final hours. They showed us both so much love and kindness, they were like a family to us both when mine couldn’t be with me, and I can never thank them enough. They continue to care for my dad who has suffered a breakdown on top of his dementia due to my mums passing; they could have not received better care and thoroughly recommend the entire staff at Dane view.
What can I say about Dane View and its staff, nothing short of excellent. At a particularly dark time, when both Dad in law (dementia), and Mum in Law (terminal cancer/complications from) both had to be placed in care at the same time, Dane View accepted and placed them where they could be together, in great rooms. Mum received wonderful care until her sad passing recently, by all staff involved, and Dad continues to receive excellent care. Also, my wife has had continued support and friendship from day one. Great staff, accommodation, food, facilities, activities, a very positive vibe and calming atmosphere – very unlike other care homes we visited. And for saying that Dane View has only recently opened, this really is a great achievement. Thank you! A++++
My stepfather went into Dane View for a short time before he passed away in December. The care and respect of the management and staff was very kind. The nurses looked after him well as he had some complex medical needs which they supported. He had a very calm environment for his short time there and the cleanliness of his room and the home itself was second to none. Thank you to all the management and staff for your kind care of my stepfather and the support of my mother.
